  1. Hi! I have created a fun game called Ramseyball. It is entertaining and played between teams of however many players you wish to have. The equipment includes the Ramseyball, which is a Wilson volleyball with "Ramseyball" written on duct tape that is slapped over the Wilson logo, flags, and time fracture wickets. The game itself is played on some sort of comparatively clear area, but trees, bushes, rocks, and cliffs are acceptable. Stadiums will work as well if you can rent one. The rules are simple. How you play the game is to be made up as you go along (feel free to change the rules as you play depending on the zone you are in-but be aware that you will be penalized for breaking the rules depending on the whim of your opponent), but you cannot play the game in the same way twice. Singing is also a critical factor, and any song is permissible, although anything from Huey Lewis and the News' "Sports" album is discouraged. Scoring is allowed, but it's kind of like "Who's Line is it anyway" in that the points don't matter or may not even be rational numbers. There is also a Ramseyball song that must be sung before every game. "Other kids' games are all such a bore! They've gotta have rules and they gotta keep score! Ramseyball is better by far! It's never the same! It's always bizarre! You don't need a team or a referee! You know that it's great, 'cause it's named after me!" (Backup-Singing "Rumma Tum Tums") Anyway, since this is the concepts forum, I feel like I should discuss uniforms. The Ramseyball uniforms are simple-teams only wear blindfold masks. These masks are not to be questioned as they are integral to the game. Since I know many of you are enterprising designers, I felt I would provide a sample template for the Ramseyball uniforms, as well as an example of one. This is the uniform of the Chagrin Falls RedYellows ------------------------------------------- Anyway, I have ideas for a league and I wondered what you would do with them. I feel teams could be located in a variety of places, and have suggested nicknames for some. Places include: San Francisco Los Angeles Chicago Detroit New York Boston Miami Atlanta Phoenix Toronto Cincinnati St. Louis Dallas Houston Seattle Denver Minneapolis Washington Schaumburg Madison Indianapolis Fayetteville Mississippi Piccaroons Richmond Rebels Aledo Vermont Frost Heaves "Wyoming" Hyannis Abbotsford Carbondale Olympia Torches Havana Akihabara Nogales Quincy Bowling Green Chickpea Junction Moose Jaw "Springfield" (traveling team) Bartonville Allentown Mexicali Virginia City Tallequah Beardstown Timbuktu Kandahar East St. Louis Roswell "Southwest Missouri" Churchill Peoria Please make all of these concepts. And enjoy. The best concept may get something. Or may not. Who knows. P.S. This is for a school project.
  2. In March of 2014, the Ottawa Senators and the Vancouver Canucks will play in the NHL Heritage Classic. So far, nothing about what each team will be wearing has been announced. Here is what I would like to see Ottawa wear. The top concept has a square yoke while the bottom has round. Tell me what you prefer. Probably not the biggest decision but it makes a difference. Loosely based on this. As for the template, it was made by Matthew McElroy and edited by me. The template can be found here: http://www.icethetics.info/templates/ You can find Matthew's stuff here: http://number9concepts.tumblr.com/ He makes some sweet hockey concepts over there so definitely check him out if you haven't already.
  3. Here's another in my template series. I'm working on a whole set of templates. This is my Reebok Edge hockey template. Right now I'm still refining it, so it's not being released just yet. When it's ready, I'll modify the topic appropriately. So here's what I have so far, and I would like some C&C on it please.
  4. So here's another in my template series. I'm working on a whole set of templates. This is my men's basketball template. Right now I'm still refining it, so it's not being released just yet. 5. It seems that every new hockey concept, with a few exceptions, has used the new Nike hockey template being used in these Olympics, even when the concepts are for non-Olympic, and non-Nike teams. I'm wondering, why? The pattern is awful, with the fake laceups, giant shoulders, weird under-arm panels that don't let sleeves stripes connect the whole way around...why has it caught on around here so much?
  6. Here's my modified Nike Elite football template that people have been requesting. I'm still working on a new template that'll blow this one out of the water, but it's still a WIP so here's this one for now. It's available in .ai (CS3 & 10), .eps, .svg, and .pdf formats. 9. http://www.mediafire...eedTemplate.zip I have made a new helmet template. I feel that this template solves a lot of problems I see in helmet templates. The format is .svg. Included on the template: Properly angled helmet, meaning side logo decal can be placed without having to rotate them traditional triple stripe Modern Speed specific stripe (as seen on the 2011 Ohio State Pro Combat helmet) Riddell front and rear bumpers American flag "decal" Warning label (required on all helmets) "Metallic helmet flakes" chin strap snaps, jaw pad valves, side clips, and all the other minor, realistic details The images for this template came from photographs of a Speed helmet I took just for making this template. Feel free to use it on any concept you make on this forum or any other. Here are a couple helmets I made to give you an idea of what you can do. These aren't concepts, but are based on existing helmets.
  10. There has been some demand for a template over in this thread which the author didn't want to release, however the template is actually based on something I made some time ago and I am quite willing to share it with everyone here as I simply have no use for it anymore. It's not the cleanest of templates but I'm sure some of you will be able to clean it up better than I have and get the most out of it. Preview DOWNLOAD (.PSD Format)
  11. Recently, I've been working on a project involving football uniforms from the 1920's through today. Unfortunately, I could never find an old school style template that I liked, so I decided to make one on my own. I'm a huge fan of andrewharrington's Nike Pro Combat template and Raysox's Yakball template and use both rather extensively, so I based mine on a combination of the styles of theirs. I'm not particularly a fan of the last one, so I'm gonna retool it, and I still have to work on the back of the pants templates, but I'd love to get some C+C on these. Here are also some real life examples featuring the NFL's two most historic teams. That's the Bears 1936 Alternate, and the Packers 1959-1960 home uniform. Here's the link SVG
