  1. Here is a small introduction, you can skip and go right to the uniforms if you'd like, but it all started when I was pretty young. I bet right around 10 years ago I created a fictional university based out of Grand Rapids, MI that I would create paper ice rinks and paper players and play games with it. As the years passed, the idea grew more and more becoming an entirely fictional-based college sports world called the NACA (National Association of Collegiate Athletics). I will not bore you with the specifics of that, but it's basically a 200 team world. When NCAA Football 2011 came out with TeamBuilder, everything changed. My fictional university which was just based on notebooks, now became something I could design and play games with. Southern Michigan University (known as the Knights) and the Great Lakes Conference became a reality. My 13 year-old self went online to find a logo (which I cannot identify and am no longer able to find it online, good thing I have it saved) and came up with this primary mark. This whole thing has evolved into probably over 100 files of different information from year by year results, to all-time draft picks. As I've gotten older I created a few secondary logos which I use throughout most teams. Here is a few quick notes before I show off the uniforms; Nike took over as the official athletic apparel provider for SMU in 2014, Nike began incorporating Battle Scars design into most of the teams uniforms this past season (you'll see it throughout all the major teams). Without further ado, here is what my life rotates around! Basketball Football Due to space concerns, I'll just show you the uniform schedule for this season. You can find 2015 here (http://s1370.photobucket.com/user/drewstone7/media/Screen Shot 2016-11-14 at 9.11.12 PM_zpszqkymrp2.png.html?sort=3&o=2) 2014 (http://s1370.photobucket.com/user/drewstone7/media/Screen Shot 2016-11-14 at 9.11.29 PM_zpsy4qjgtdo.png.html?sort=3&o=1) It's fun to see how your skills progress from year to year. My personal favorite is the 1985 throwback we wore twice last season. Baseball Hockey
  2. Concept basketball league. Anyone can upload teams until i feel we have enough teams. start off with just a logo or logo package. Teams can be anywhere in North America.
  3. Still on the MVP Baseball series (and I will begin the Ballpark Builder in about a week) but in between, I will make the 10 covers (plus a special cover) for the NCAA Football series. 10 for each region. The winners are: NORTHEAST - Jim Brown MID-ATLANTIC - Micheal Vick GREAT LAKES - J.J. Watt MIDWEST - Tyler Lockett SOUTHEAST - Bo Jackson FLORIDA - Michael Irvin TEXAS - LaDainian Tomlinson ROCKY MOUNTAINS - Kordell Stewart WEST - Troy Aikman & Rodney Peete PACIFIC NORTHWEST - Jake Locker I'll make one a day... no set schedule, but I will start on Jim Brown's cover tomorrow.
  4. This is my Dallas Cowboys Uniform Design. I got the idea from the Dallas Cowboys Star and how it is part of the Lone star state Texas. i added Blue, White, and silver on the uniform. its my first design and i have to say i think i did a good job.
  5. Oh look, another Giants jersey concept. What's new? No but seriously, here's my take on the Giants' road jersey.
  6. This thread isn't so much a concept as it is a prediction for the Georgia Bulldogs next set of uniforms in 2017. After reading some discussion on UGA forums, it sounds like the Dawgs will upgrade to the Nike Mach Speed template in 2017. Unless Kirby Smart wants to bring his own flavor to the Georgia uniform (praying he doesn't bring back the black striped helmet he wore or the red jersey and black pants combination), it would be reasonable to assume Georgia will mostly just take its current design and transition to the new template. We know the new coach is open to black jerseys as recruits have been seen wearing them. They feature the large collar and Bulldog Bold font, so we know they aren't just recycled from 2007 and 2008. They are brand new jerseys. What I'd like to see is at least bring back red and black pants to be used sparingly on the road and maybe an all black look (normal helmet). The pants designs I propose still use the same stripe as the silver pants, so there is a hidden stripe...just like the 2009 black pants (leave that helmet in the past). These designs would be the only ones used, and ideally Georgia would wear the normal red and white jerseys with silver britches 8-9 games a year. Perhaps a blackout once or twice with a game or two on the road with different pants. One of my Georgia guys suggested next year could go without contrasting collars and cuffs. Not sure how legitimate that is but here is that mockup.
  7. Though the Hall of Fame game between the Packers and the Colts is still a month and a half away, I thought I'd take the initiative to fire up the uniform match-up combos thread for the upcoming 2016 season. For starters, we have one confirmation: The Steelers will wear their "bumblebee prison" throwbacks for one game — vs. the Jets in Week 5 (October 9)...http://www.wtae.com/sports/steelers-will-wear-throwback-uniforms-again/12277694
  8. I’ve had an NFL Concept thread going for a few years now. You can find it here; http://boards.sportslogos.net/topic/95410-oldschoolvikings-nfl-concepts-new-packers-and-steelers-added-5316-home-road-alts-and-color-rush/?page=1 It started out as my ideal concepts division by division, but now it’s become sort of a junk drawer thread for any ideas that pop into my head… some just crazy ideas I want to get out and see what reaction I get. (For instance, my all-gradient Titans’ uniform.) And, invariably, when I do post something weird just for fun, someone will jump in to say how much they’d hate it if a team actually did it. And I think, yeah, me too. Anyway, since that’s what’s happened to that thread (and, I’m sure, will continue to happen) I thought I’d start another NFL concepts thread for my one-time, absolute, definitive versions for all 32 teams. In other words, if I was given complete control, with one and only one chance to put each team in what I consider their best look, all at the same time, this is what I’d do. I’m designing one home, one road, one alternative/throwback, and one color rush uniform for each team. As usual, I’m limiting myself to NFL rules. Which means only one helmet shell (although I’m occasionally changing decals/stripes), all non-throwback alts use current team colors, all throwbacks are based on actual historical uniforms (dates will be noted), and Color Rush uniforms are a single color from neck to toe (believe me, I wouldn’t do it if it weren’t the rules). Also, Color Rush uniforms can use historical colors (example, royal blue for the Patriots). Most of these are pretty conservative in terms of the amount of change. About half fall into the category of what we call around here "tweaks", and very few are radical departures. Also, I’ve refigured my template again… based somewhat on the new Nike Vapor Untouchable. At least for most of these… some are leftover from my last template. Anyway, I’ll try to post them by division, and get them up in a timely fashion. As always, feedback is very much appreciated. It’s even nice to know if you’re just looking. Thanks.
  9. As I've made clear for some time, I'm a big fan of football and I'm currently living in Japan. To my surprise, I found that there is a big following of American football here and there are LOTS of colleges and universities that play football here. There is even a pro league and a championship game that pits the college champion vs the pro champion. It's call the Rice Bowl. I thought I would take the opportunity to share some of the cool logos and uniforms of all the teams from Japan. I'm going to start out going league by league and providing the top tier or division 1 teams first, then work my way down to any other teams that may be interesting to share. I hope you guys enjoy it and maybe it might open you up to learning more about American football here in Japan.
  10. I guess it's that time again -- looking forward to the uniform and logo changes in the NBA for the upcoming 2016-17 season ... THE LAST YEAR OF ADIDAS! As has been twirling around Twitter, UniWatch and the mothership (thanks to Conrad) ... the "rumored" or "semi-confirmed" changes for 16-17 include Sacramento, Utah and Detroit. Not sure if this graphic confirms a change in the Celtics' primary logo? But, I'll post it here for speculation ...
  11. Considering the NFL had it's first major throwback uniform season in 1994 to celebrate the league's 75th season, I've been wondering for years how the NFL's 100th season in 2019 would look as far as uniforms are concerned. Since it is now only three years away I thought I would make a post about it so we can see who was right when 2019 does finally get here. If the 75th season can give us any ideas, they would be that every team will wear a 100th season jersey patch (every team wore a diamond-shaped 75th Season jersey patch in 1994, even on the throwback uniforms) but I think that's where the similarities between the two seasons will end. I do think special uniforms will be worn in 2019, but I don't think they will be throwbacks. The throwback trend seems to be dead for multiple reasons (played out / losing popularity, pretty much run out of interesting old uniforms to bring back, players must wear the same helmet throughout the season now so that eliminates a lot of options, etc.) so I'm guessing in 2019 to celebrate the 100th Season of the league they will do a throw forward year, with every single team having Color Rush (or some other gimmick) games or having Nike design "Pro Combat" style one-off uniforms designed to be worn with each team's normal helmet. If you don't count Super Bowl XXIX, when the league let the 49ers wear their 1994 throwbacks longer than teams were initially allowed and throwout the playoffs and Super Bowl, I believe Super Bowl LIV, played at the end of the 2019 season, could be the first year we see alternate jerseys or special one-off "Pro Combat" uniforms in the Super Bowl, if it doesn't happen this year for Super Bowl 50 (could be a nice game day or game time surprise for the 50th celebration.) In addition to "throw forward" and "Pro Combat" uniforms I'm sure the NFL will make an exception and let the two teams that played in the very first season of the NFL and are still around have a throwback year like they did for the original AFL teams in 2009 for the 50th Anniversary of the AFL. That means the Bears would throwback as the Decatur Staleys and the Cardinals would throwback as the Chicago Cardinals (that would be an interesting game: Chicago vs Chicago! With 1920 throwbacks!!!) So what do you guys think? What do you think is going to happen three years from now during the 100th Season of the NFL as far as team uniforms and logos are concerned?
  12. I'm sure this has been done before. Mods, please merge this with another thread if necessary. I'll start off with the NFL. First I'll give y'all a blank template to copy/paste; then I'll give my own viewpoints. AFC: AFC East: Boston/New England Patriots New York Titans/Jets Miami Dolphins Buffalo Bills AFC North: Cincinnati Bengals Cleveland Browns Baltimore Ravens Pittsburgh Pirates/Steagles/Card-Pitt/Pittsburgh Steelers AFC South: Baltimore/Indianapolis Colts Houston Oilers/Tennessee Oilers/Tennessee Titans Jacksonville Jaguars Houston Texans AFC West: Los Angeles/Oakland Raiders Dallas Texans/Kansas City Chiefs Los Angeles/San Diego Chargers Denver Broncos NFC: NFC East: Dallas Cowboys New York Giants Boston Braves/Boston Redskins/Washington Redskins Steagles/Philadelphia Eagles (not counting Frankford Yellow Jackets) NFC North: Decatur Staleys/Chicago Bears Green Bay Packers Portsmouth Spartans/Detroit Lions Minnesota Vikings NFC South: Atlanta Falcons New Orleans Saints Carolina Panthers Tampa Bay Buccaneers NFC West: Cleveland/Los Angeles/St. Louis Rams San Francisco 49ers Seattle Seahawks Racine Normals/Racine Street Cardinals/Chicago Cardinals/Card-Pitt/St. Louis Cardinals/Phoenix Cardinals/Arizona Cardinals And...go!
  13. Hi everybody! I'm gonna start a FIBA basketball uniform database. Spain at the 1984 Summer Olympics, Los Angeles (USA)
  14. I was Googling earlier this afternoon and found this prototype Phoenix Suns jersey from the early '70s. I am assuming that it was around the time they switched to their famous Western Font style. Does anyone have any info on it? It also made me interested in finding other prototype jerseys in the Big Four. I am aware of the Nordiques and a Padres jersey from the '90s. Does anyone else have any they want to share here?
