  1. I've decided to use this thread to continue my NBA All-Star Series. No use in making a whole new one. I'm going to go in order by doing Cleveland, Salt Lake City, and then Indianapolis. After that, I'll just predict where the NBA will host their games based on the likelihood of the city (so cities like Chicago and Toronto are out because they just hosted one). Here's the link to my Cleveland one... I'll update this section of the thread whenever I complete a new city. Stay tuned for more! Cleveland 2022 Salt Lake City 2023 (v2) Indianapolis 2024 Miami 2025 Dallas 2026 (v2) San Francisco 2027 (coming tonight) Portland 2028 (coming soon) and more... The 2023 NBA All-Star Game is set to be held in Salt Lake City, Utah. This is my idea. The logo (as seen above) is fairly self-explanatory. The classic Jazz note with Jerry on the basketball (while holding another basketball...basketballception). The wordmark I used was derived from this uniform, which was from the only other time that Utah hosted an All-Star game. For the life of me, I could not find this script anywhere. I looked for an hour and then tried to make my own, but it came out really scuffed. The number font on the back is inspired by these uniforms, a rather forgotten part of Utah's uniform history. The design should be obvious to any basketball fan. These beauties. The colours for Team Siakam are inspired by these fan-favourite uniforms (which I also love). A nice ode to the mountains of Utah. The Team Brown uniforms are the classic retro colours that have become so famous in the NBA. Let me know what you guys think!
  2. I’m doing a projekt where I redesign or rebrand old NBA All-Star logos. In a Wayne how I wish eget would look:) Let me know what you think
  3. That's right the East vs West format is gone! players are voted into a "pool" of players and the top 2 vote getters become captains (like on the playground) and pick their teams from that pool. More details here: What do you think of this shake-up?
  4. hey all, these are concepts for the 2017 all-star game logo (not sure if the logo they displayed during their announcement ceremony was the official one? it wasn't like that for toronto's) & the jerseys. for the jerseys, I'm leaning more towards the west design. so for the east, it'd feature the same "honeycomb" pattern as the west, just with the blue/slate colorway shown in the east jersey diagram instead of the red/burgundy combo of the west. and instead of black letters & numbers with white outlining like on the west jersey, the east jersey will have white print with black outlining, and say "EAST". the letters & numbers on the jerseys are meant to be the same font as the charlotte hornets official logo font, which can be found on as "nba hornets buzz city". the all-star logo is a combination of the skyline of charlotte (top) & a beehive (bottom) inside of a "honeycomb" hexagon. in the top half, the windows of the buildings in the skyline are all lit up, and behind the skyline is a starry purple night sky. the "all-star" and "charlotte" wordmarks are also meant to be in the "nba hornets buzz city" font. the beehive in the bottom half of the logo depicts "stars" flying out of the hive's entrance like bees, and features the "jumpman" logo on the front of it as the event is allegedly being hosted by michael jordan. and the "2017" wordmark is featured in the "tw cen mt" font, on top of a teal background. these designs are not necessarily final, so if any of you are interested in helping to expand on these ideas let me know. thanks!
  5. Way back in July of 2013, I posted a concept that featured a 4-game NHL All-Star Game playoff It featured four unique jerseys with individual designs, before the NHL division names were even announced. The NHL has since used this idea, but they kept the draft idea. I think it's important to eliminate this idea and keep things within each division, because the NHL is all about promoting rivalries, and this suddenly makes that much more interesting. I say "concepts", plural, because I'm taking the idea that I've heard countless times on this board, but I've never seen actually used: The jersey template each year matches the host city. This gives fans who like a jersey but want to wear a different color a chance to do that. I would've thought that wasn't a good thing, but having hats with team logos in all sorts of colors has been far more popular than I ever would've guessed. The colors are division-centric: Pacific - Green, Silver, Black Central - Red, Black, Silver Metropolitan - Gold, Black, Silver Atlantic - Blue, Silver, Black This is a test set, and I can do the rest if this is seen as a good idea. This year: Nashville: Anaheim: Boston: Buffalo: Chicago: Columbus: Colorado: Thoughts? Something worth finishing?

  7. Just wondering everyone's opinion. Not gonna criticize anything this time. I might be biased, but I really enjoy everything for the 2014 game. The jerseys are cool, the logo has a clean design, and the hats are unique.
  8. Decided to re-purpose Ben Barnes' uni concept (that i previously adapted to the Pels) to make some appropriate AS2014 unis: Had to go slightly darker with the green to get it contrast with the silver, but i don't think it's too much of a departure. What ya think of these? Better?
  9. The NHL All-Star Game is useless. Nobody watches, nobody cares. The NHL is clearly willing to mess with things considering the new fantasy draft format. Now with four conferences and no requirement for East/West play, things should be changed. How do you make things interesting? Make the game matter, and not in the annoying way the MLB does. I'm talking a tournament. But nobody would watch a bunch of All-Star Games. So we have a series of 30-minute games, two 15-minute periods with a 5 minute commercial break in between. Winner moves on. Games are 20 minutes apart for a break, some analysis, and commercials, leading to 90 minutes of hockey and 55 minutes of down time for all of the fanfare. If that's too much, I'm sure it could be reduced to two 10-minute periods with a break for ads and make it like a normal game's time frame. Teams made up of 2 centers, 2 left wings, 2 right wings, 4 defensemen, and 1 goalie and a coach from that conference only. Brackets are set up to match the playoff format for that year. Each conference has a color scheme and a generic jersey. These can switch up every few years, different pattern for each to encourage sales. However, these were picked specifically that no color scheme or jersey pattern would reflect one of the teams within that conference. Without further ado:
