  1. It's been 25 years, and the Ducks have still never hosted an All Star Game. As I patiently await the day it is announced, I decided to design a jersey concept in the meantime. The Western Conference teams use the same orange/black/gold color scheme as the Ducks do currently. I've noticed that in the past few years, the host division's team wears the same primary color as the host team, so I decided to continue this pattern. To contrast this, the Eastern Conference gets to wear the Ducks' throwback eggplant/jade combination. The All Star Logo itself is based off Anaheim's most iconic building: Disneyland's Sleeping Beauty Castle. I thought the concept of a shooting star fit perfectly here, acting as a connection between the All-Star Game, and "When You Wish Upon a Star".
  2. I decided to do a Ducks-Sharks Stadium Series concept, since I've always thought it would be cool to see the Ducks play outdoors at Angels Stadium. The other two California teams have hosted Stadium Series games, so while it's unlikely, it only feels logical that the Ducks would eventually do the same. As you can tell, both of the jerseys combine aspects from the teams' past and present uniforms. For the Ducks, I went with the original Mighty Duck logo, as well as very similar striping pattern as their original uniforms. With the Sharks, I combined their current logo together with their original jerseys, while swapping out the grey stripes with orange. The Stadium Series logo itself obviously is based on the "Big A" that is located just outside of Angels Stadium, while also borrowing from the Angels' color scheme itself. The home plate shape also continues the baseball motif. This is my first post here, so I would appreciate some feedback.
  3. Just a concept i made in an hour
  4. So I was at Plato's Closet yesterday and found a rather interesting Anaheim Mighty Ducks jersey. It looks VERY authentic, even including a fight strap. Everything sewn onto the jersey is very high quality, but there's something off about it, and that's the main color of the jersey. It's actually maroon instead of the purple that the Ducks used. Could this maybe be a prototype, or could they have possibly used a base for an Avalanche jersey at the factory by accident? You be the judge...
  5. It's been awhile since I last posted on this site so decided to comeback with some more NHL related concepts. For this series the goal is not to be an accurate predictor of future Stanley Cup match ups and is more of a fictionalized telling of yet to be played finals. This series is also intended to conform with the continuity of @timberwolf's Champions League of Hockey series, which I was a part of. I will post a brief description of each team's route to the finals and the finals themselves in addition to the concepts. I'm also contemplating adding rosters for each team so comment below if you want see them. Template credits go to Matt McElroy and Josiah Bosch. First up it's the 2022 Stanley Cup featuring the defending champion Anaheim Ducks and upstart Pittsburgh Penguins.
  6. I've had this concept lying around for over a year now and decided to now flesh it out completely. It's a very unusual design, but I feel it could work for a third jersey, but nothing more than that. I tried two versions of it as I don't know which logos work better on it. What do you all think?
  7. So in the recent discussions about the new Anaheim Ducks third jersey, it was suggested that the Ducks should perhaps try an orange home jersey with a white road jersey that compliments it. While other people have focused on trying to match the new third jersey with a white version, I decided to instead, try making an orange version of their current home jersey. I made the letters and numbers just two layers instead of three, though doing so now makes it match the stripping (sort of). It also differentiates from the Flyers by using black numbers outlined in orange or white instead of orange or white numbers outlined in black. (And the use of gold too, of course). Comments welcome.
  8. Hey Guys! I have another Home/Away jersey concept, the Anaheim Ducks! Its a nice clean look and of course, simple. Hope you guys like this one! C&C Welcome!
  9. I've done the Crosstown Classic...and there was clamoring for Dodgers-Giants. I've done the Subway Series...and there was clamoring for Dodgers-Giants. Now comes...Dodgers-Angels. And there will probably still be clamoring for Dodgers-Giants until I give you Dodgers-Giants. Poor Rangers and Astros. While you wait a bit longer for the rivalry set you actually wanna see, here goes a pair I think you'll like anyway. Leading off, the Halos... Initially, I was going to use what became the road design as the home whites, but then I figured this would be a good occasion to represent Orange County. I'd thought about putting together an OC as the cap logo, much like how the Ducks had an OC on one shoulder for their Stadium Series jersey, but in the end decided against it in favor of the normal cap, only with orange replacing red. The jersey is loosely based on the 95-96 California Angels alt, a personal favorite. The road uniform, which I otherwise would've also used as the home design, uses shoulder stripes, a loose cross of the 80s Angels BP jerseys and the late 50s PCL Angels, and traced the script from one I came across at Liebe, Montreal's I think (as I had a hell of a time finding pics of the jersey I was basing everything off of). and now, dem Bums For anyone wanting me to get on with it already and release Dodgers-Giants, for that series, the Dodgers are done already, I still need to work on the Giants...but I have a sinking feeling you'll wish this had been the set they faced the Giants in. Anyway, both of these unis are based on stuff the Hollywood Stars wore, if you couldn't figure out by the logo...the road is all blue with distinct sleeve striping I've only ever seen on that one Hollywood uniform. Turns out that jersey had the number over a star on the back, which I decided to allude to with essentially a watermark star here. As I needed a third color, powder blue makes a cameo appearance. The home whites...yes, they are basically a Dodgerfied version of the original shorts uniform, the one the Stars wore in the early 50s: crewneck tee instead of a button-down jersey, and pinstriped shorts despite the jersey lacking them.
  10. I don't do many Baseball concepts, but had to do this for the Angels - they need navy so badly First and most obviously, Navy becomes the primary color. I also removed the drop shadow from the wordmark, and restored the Red Sox font. Please provide some C&C! (Also, in case you didn't know, I use paint for my concepts)
  11. The mighty redux: Conceiving a new Anaheim hockey identityFrom the halcyon days of the Disney-born Mighty Ducks to the period of rule atop the league as black-and-orange-clad Stanley Cup champions, hockey fans in Anaheim have had the luxury of cheering for a team whose identities have consistently been unique and, well, awesome. Although the original Mighty Ducks identity was the butt end of many jokes during its run, its standing with fans remains favorable. It wouldn’t be a stretch to say a significant slice of the fan base would be happy to see it return. Several years after the team’s brand was toned down — and grown up — to become the Anaheim Ducks, the new look seems to have left people wondering what has continually driven the organization to move ever further away from its Disney roots. The latest update to the franchise look, however, has pushed the needle back in the other direction, if only slightly. The Mighty Ducks logo has been resurrected in the form of a shoulder patch, and the orange adornments from 2007 have spread and saturated more areas in an effort to co-opt the surrounding community’s culture. In other words, there’s lots to like, but realizing the full potential of this team’s identity will require revisiting some elements of its own past. MORE HERE: qckd.co/32
  12. So I think it's safe to say we've all seen the Islanders Stadium Series jersey, but we haven't seen any of the other teams designs yet. My personal prediction is that the designs will come out before Cyber Monday so we can all purchase the jerseys online. Anyway this is my prediction for the Anaheim Ducks is as follows. Most of the design came from the "hockey bear" t-shirt design but the white shoulder yoke came from the Isles jersey. Also I added a helmet stripe because it felt like a "modern" element Reebok would do. Also I made the pants logo bigger than usual and the main logo chrome to go along with the Isles jersey.
  13. Jerseys in this thread: Colorado Avalanche Pittsburgh Penguins Calgary Flames Anaheim Ducks Boston Bruins Los Angeles Kings Nashville Predators Edmonton Oilers These next concepts I will be bringing you (first time posting on the site) is from a template I recently made, so there are still some bugs I'm working out as I go a long, and as I upload these keep in mine I love listening to constructive criticism. But I cannot change these jerseys anymore since they are long gone from their original .psd file! Hope you all enjoy! The first 3rd Jersey is Colorado Avalanche. Colorado Avalanche 3rd Jersey - With this jersey being my first one with this template, you could say I was a beginner with it. I actually didn't realize it until after I finished that it had a nice hint to the Nordiques, but that wasn't my plan going into it. Rather just create an icy feel to the jersey. - This recieved a Concept of the Week nomination on HockeyJerseyConcepts.com! - Tell me what you think, and hopefully I can upload a new one soon. Can't wait to hear your response!
