  1. Atlanta United is rumored to be doing away with their inaugural away kits, which is a good thing in my view as they were pretty boring. I love their red and black striped kit, and wanted to keep the "5 Stripes" in my concept kit as well. It's an all black idea, so I thought it may work better as a 3rd kit rather than their main away kit. I may attempt an away kit as well on this thread in the future.
  2. Hey Guys! It's been awhile but I'm back with an inline hockey logo! I took the Hershey Bears logo as inspiration mainly because of how mean and intimidating the logo looked. I chose a "Deer" because where the team is located in Northeast Pennsylvania, there is an abundance of white-tailed deer. Of course, I had to use black and gold because...well, i just really like those colors for a hockey team! (Go Pens!) Hope you guys like this one! C&C Welcome!
  3. Hey Guys! So I know there are a lot of logos similar to this one. I designed this logo for a in-line hockey team. It's a train. It has colors. Hope you like this one! C&C Welcome!
  4. Hey everyone, I worked on fixing up the Canes into something they I wish they would wear. The design incorporates elements from their new and old jerseys... I also attempted to make a new wordmark for the team but I'm not sure if I like the way it came out. I'm relatively new to designing concepts and using illustrator so C&C is welcomed! 5. Hey Guys! Today I have a concept for the Pittsburgh Condors basketball team. I'm a big fan of Pittsburgh sport teams and think they can expand to other sports, like the NBA. I wanted to pick a team name that had some history in the city. I chose the ABA's 1970-72 Pittsburgh Condors. Previously known as the Pipers. The logos I've designed mirrors the city of champions with the good old Black and Gold. I went with Wing-Theme to be slightly different from the Hawks and Pelicans. With the basketball logo, I had to give a nod to the ABA Condors so they are not completely forgotten. ( Although their logo should ) Hope you like this one! 6. Hey Guys! Since we know the Las Vegas NHL expansion team will have something to do with Knights and Sand, I've decided to make a logo/team that already exists in the league. I don't know how they would get rid of Florida in the real world, but they did in my head. SO Las Vegas took over the Florida Panthers franchise and this is what I came up with. This makes sense, trust me. Since Pittsburgh abandoned Vegas Gold, I thought that would be perfect for Vegas. Basically the Pitt color scheme from a year ago. So! I hope you like this one! C&C Welcome!
  7. The Twins have been using the same colors for almost the entire existence of the organization. They need to do some re branding in the next few years. The last time they had success was around 2009 and they started the 2016 season 0-9... They have potential, but they should probably get a strong fan base around them and take the Royal approach. I think that the Twins had some success in the past with the design of the logos and kept most of them looking similar to what they were. Now with colors Green, Black, and I kept the Navy. 8. Hey Guys! Today I am sharing my Wilkes Barre Scranton Penguins logo concept. Its not that different from the logo they have now but I wanted an effective and simple logo. I hope you guys like it! C&C Welcome!
  9. So, in my opinion, the new New York Islanders alternate jerseys aren't that bad. They're (Sadly) Brooklyn's team now, and they need to represent it. Alternate jerseys should also jump out of the box and be unique, which is what the new alternates are doing. The 'B' logo that's inside the arrow is on the sides of the pants, which is only visible on the full-body presentation. Regardless, I decided to see if I could 'Spice it up' a little, so here we go! I have one presentation with the jersey flat and another with it on a person. So yeah! Let me know what I could do to make it better, besides taking black out all together, below!
  10. So I've been working on redesigning a lot of college football team's uniforms and, since this weekend is when tOSU reveals their all black uniforms against Penn State, I've decided to go ahead and present my version of what they should have created. The majority of us hate them and feel as if we could have done a lot better job of modernizing their uniform while keeping their historic and legendary feel. I chose to stick with their traditional layout as well as keeping their modern helmets and pants. This way, although they won't be wearing their famous scarlet red or white tops, they can still be easily identifiable as the Ohio State Buckeyes. Click for a detailed view
  11. This is the latest version of a reoccurring concept of mine to "modernize" the Steelers' uniforms. In this version, the helmet is matte and the facemask has been changed to a "steel" color, which is also used on the alternates. On the home jersey, the number font has been changed and the stripes now fit fully on the sleeves. On the away jersey, the entire shoulder cap is turned black to keep the shoulder stripes clean and consistent. I have two alternate ideas, both of which are merely concepts as they would require the NFL to change its rule on alternate helmets. One is a yellow jersey with a yellow helmet and steel sleeve caps and pants. The other is an all-steel alternate. The yellow and steel helmets (which would both be matte) have a chrome logo on the "blank" side.
  12. Hey Guys! This was a fun one for me. First, the logo. The logo is a keystone "crest" with the wings of the original Flyers logo going through it. Second, the jerseys. I wanted it to look somewhat similar to the jerseys they have now, but keeping it simple at the same time. (And yes, their jersey now is kind of simple). This is just a concept, the logo they have now will forever be their logo, I just wanted to get creative with it. Hope you like this one! C&C Welcome!
  13. http://shop.mlb.com/product/index.jsp?productId=52573446 I'm not sure if this means they're bringing them back or just selling them on the site, but every other jersey on the page was one they're currently using
  14. The mighty redux: Conceiving a new Anaheim hockey identityFrom the halcyon days of the Disney-born Mighty Ducks to the period of rule atop the league as black-and-orange-clad Stanley Cup champions, hockey fans in Anaheim have had the luxury of cheering for a team whose identities have consistently been unique and, well, awesome. Although the original Mighty Ducks identity was the butt end of many jokes during its run, its standing with fans remains favorable. It wouldn’t be a stretch to say a significant slice of the fan base would be happy to see it return. Several years after the team’s brand was toned down — and grown up — to become the Anaheim Ducks, the new look seems to have left people wondering what has continually driven the organization to move ever further away from its Disney roots. The latest update to the franchise look, however, has pushed the needle back in the other direction, if only slightly. The Mighty Ducks logo has been resurrected in the form of a shoulder patch, and the orange adornments from 2007 have spread and saturated more areas in an effort to co-opt the surrounding community’s culture. In other words, there’s lots to like, but realizing the full potential of this team’s identity will require revisiting some elements of its own past. MORE HERE: qckd.co/32
  15. Alright so I'm a huge Mizzou fan. And unlike some, i really like our current uniforms that were "rebranded" by Nike 2 years ago. I also love that Nike is rolling out some new bits and pieces for us. (different matte/metallic helmet combinations, a new chrome tiger sticker helmet, and a new anthracite jersey). But when we played in the SEC championship as the away team, i didn't like our look. I mean i didn't mind it, but i felt it could have been done better. So here i give you my concept for a "White-out" Mizzou Alternate Helmet: The Tiger and Facemask are not black, but a dark-grey/anthracite to match the sleeves of our white jerseys It would be worn when they wear their white pants. So with this look: I couldn't figure out how to make the helmets above white with Photoshop, so all could do is vectorize the helmet. If anyone would be willing to recolor/make the helmet above the new white one, it would be much appreciated. Thanks for looking, and C&C is much appreciated
  16. I was lucky enough to get free tickets to a recent Richmond Flying Squirrels games vs. the Akron Aeros. The Squirrels were wearing their black jerseys (which look Okay, but I'd rather see whites) and the Aeros were ALSO wearing their black jerseys. I realise it's only AA ball but it still looks like a horrendous scrimmage when this is the teams on the field (apologies for bad phone/instagram pic) Also, the Aeros wordmark is super uninspired.
  17. This is a concept ive been workning on this past week hoping to get some c&c on it to see if these actually look good. I know some people dont like black on the lions as they perfer the more traditional look but i wanted to see what you guys had to say. I went with a black helmet with gradient stripes. On the uniform i tried to get the numbers to look like the material the ducks use.
  18. What do y'all think? Kind of went for a blend of the old uniforms they had up until '09 with a little bit of modernization. I used more black and less teal because that's what Khan said we would go for. Also tried to use the new Nike type collar. Any thoughts/ideas/suggestions, please just let me know.
  19. Hey guys. I'm taking a graphic design class where we have to come up with a concept and I chose to create an NBA basketball team. I chose to locate them in Pittsburgh and came up with the name The Hammers (playing off the whole "Steel City" identity). Anyways, I wanted to get some constructive criticism by other sports-loving designers on my ideas. Below are a couple ideas for logos I've made. Please feel free to critique the work and also let me know if any of these work well enough to move forward with and why/why not. Here they are: Thanks again guys for your time!
