  1. Hi everyone, For my latest project, I wanted to do address the overabundance of blue & red teams across Major League Baseball. For inspiration, I figured I'd look at the colors of other local teams to create some regional visual unity, similar to the way that all Pittsburgh teams use black and gold. Note that some teams will be using throwback colors of local teams, such as the first team below. We start today with the Texas Rangers in the San Antonio Spurs' fiesta colors. Thanks to @Victormrey for the suggestion! RANGERS HOME RANGERS ROAD RANGERS HOME ALT 1 RANGERS HOME ALT 2 RANGERS HOME ALT 3 RANGERS ROAD ALT C&C appreciated! Another team will be up soon.
  2. It's been a long time...but in the air of the night, it returns... Since it's been so long since the last edition of C2P, I figure I should explain what's going on for the benefit of our newer members...but linking to the past threads (granted, I often have to use Google instead of the forum search to track down a lot of my older stuff, which may or may not be related to shortening my alias a few years ago, so this isn't the complete list) will do the job just as well The Original (featuring early installment weirdness) 2011 1st Round Rose Bowl FCS 2013-14 Old Faces, New Places Runnin' Horns Wack Quarterbacks 2017 1st Round (even though the image links are apparently broken) Killer D vol. 1 Killer D Legends So first, I kick things off with Harrison Smith...on the ND side, I figured I'd take a look at ancient Irish warriors, and there were a few depictions featuring horned helmets. Not that many, mind you, but enough that I went with it. Admittedly, the pants should be white...but this does have to feel like a Notre Dame uniform, so gold won out. On the Vikes side, the main liberty I took was the ghosted horns. NEXT: Marlon Humphrey
  3. I've done many "Vintage Style College Mascots" and as the NFL season gets started I was thinking of what their logos/mascots might look like if they had been created in the style of Arthur Evans. I don't plan on directly using any mascot/logo looks (college or NFL) that are already out there (example: using Pistol Pete for the Dallas Cowboys). However, I may take inspiration from bits or pieces of them. Over the next few weeks/months I'll be adding my newest iterations, please let me know what you think with your comments and/or likes. First up: Minnesota Vikings
  4. I finally decided to post my Minnesota Vikings concept that I made in January. The concept is based on the idea that there is a home/away set, color rush, and a throwback alternate. I based the main set on the vikings current uniforms while also implementing the concept drawings by Hubenthal. I used the current Vikings font but without the serifs, added a white facemask, and tweaked the horn logo slightly. For the color rush uniform I decided to base it on the all white uniforms the vikings wore from 1969-1995 with the UCLA stripes. I based the alternate/throwback on the 1965 uniform set, where the numbers are outlined and the stocks dont have stripes.
  5. Here we can discuss which is the best and worst changes in NFL uniforms this year. Here are my votes: Big Upgrade: Browns Buccaneers, Chargers Not necessarily an upgrade but I personally like them: Colts OK: Patriots Downgrade: Rams Big Downgrade: Falcons
  6. Here's a thread for some of my NFL concepts. First off, the LA Rams. I gave them a yellow home jersey because they might be the only team that could pull it off. The sleeve striping is a very Southwestern design based on the flag of Los Angeles, to really lean into their new SoCal identity. Included are alternate blue pants for both home and away, and throwbacks based on both the Fearsome Foursome and Eric Dickerson eras.
  7. Imgur Album Links: Saints Steelers Cowboys Chargers Rams Falcons Packers Jaguars Patriots Eagles With the NFL Playoffs starting today, I decided to mock up some ideas I had for a three NFL Teams: the Saints, Steelers, and Cowboys. I loved the color rush uniforms for both the Saints and Steelers; ideas from both are implemented in these concepts. For the Saints, the concept basically is their color rush; there is no reason they shouldn't adopt that look full time. I simplified their helmet logo a bit and brought back the Louisiana state outline logo as a chest patch. In addition to the white jerseys taken from the color rush set, the concept includes a black jersey with gold-white-gold-white-gold stripes as well as a gold jersey with b-w-b-w-b stripes. An alternate white helmet idea is also shown; it would only be used if the NFL were to lift the one helmet rule, obviously.
