  1. I have this idea and I'm looking for honest feedback. I'm working on this "hypothetical" league under the NFL, which is basically a NFL D-League. The NFL is the only "Big 4" league with no minor league system. There are other leagues such as the CFL, AFL, and FXFL which are just too small and might not be able to make it. Plus, if you were to play football, wouldn't you want to play it right, the same way you played it where you grew up. There will be 16 teams in the league, 8 in 2 conferences. Two NFL Teams will be part of one team, giving 30 players each to the one team. Players will consist of players that teams decide to put on practice squad or a cut and were not picked up on waivers by another team. The league will take place in the spring and summer and will end in between the time training camp starts to the first preseason game on the season. A player is signed under contract with one team, giving the team to call them up when the feel is a good time for them and could be useful to the team. The cities teams are in are cities that do not have a football team, put a good size television market. They are spread out though the United States and into Canada. The cities are: (Western Conference): Memphis, Vancouver, Omaha, Louisville, Austin, Boston (Patriots are about 45 minutes South), Syracuse; (Eastern Conference): Toronto, Madison, San Antonio, Albuquerque, Portland, Orlando, Raleigh and St. Louis (originally in LA). I hope to hear your honest feedback and I will take it into consideration while creating this league. Thanks!
  2. Hey guys! I am back after a long break off from posting I apologize. But I have started working on some jersey concepts for 2 NBA D-League teams and I want to make concepts for all of the teams. So far like I said, I only have two teams and they are the Bakersfield Jam and the Grand Rapids Drive. More of the teams coming in separate posts. Alternate jerseys also coming soon! Bakersfield Jam: Home: Away: Grand Rapids Drive: Home: Away: Let me know what you guys think and more is to come!
  3. Minnesota is one of a number of NBA teams without direct D-League affiliation. If they choose to start a team for DA I think they should adopt the ABA Muskies name. Not sure where they'd play, but they could just be the Minnesota Muskies again. I created a version for four different but similar color schemes. The classic wolves (Royal, Green, Silver), The current (Black, Green, Blue, Silver), the combo (Blue, Green, Silver) and the classic muskies (Royal, Gold, Green). Let me know what you think.
  4. Well it has finally gotten to the point where the NBA and the D-League need to find a few places to round out their league to have one affiliate per NBA team. Memphis has taken over the Iowa Energy and Detroit has started a team in Grand Rapids so the options are really whittling away. These are the affiliates as of now: Austin - San Antonio Bakersfield - Phoenix Canton - Cleveland Delaware - Philadelphia **Erie - NONE *Fort Wayne - Charlotte, Indiana, Milwaukee, Orlando Idaho - Portland Iowa - Memphis Los Angeles - LA Lakers Maine - Boston Reno - Sacramento Rio Grande - Houston Santa Cruz - Golden State Sioux Falls - Miami Texas - Dallas Tulsa - Oklahoma City Grand Rapids - Detroit Westchester - New York I think that the Erie team is being moved to Westchester to be the Knicks affliate. Also I would say that the Fort Wayne team should go to Indiana, which would leave Charlotte, Milwaukee, and Orlando without. Other teams without affiliation: New Orleans, LA Clippers, Minnesota, Brooklyn, Chicago, Atlanta, Denver, Toronto, Utah, Washington So what are your thoughts on where these teams' affliates should be? What would be some good names?
  5. I was reading about how the Orlando Magic are taking steps to get their own D-League team when I was shocked. The article said that the team they may aquire woulf be the 2 time ABA champion Jacksonville Giants. That's right ABA. I was intrigued so I looked up the league; they have teams scattered all over the country, small markets, big markets, unknown teams, former D-League teams. One thing they all have in common though.... bad logos!
