  1. I finally decided to post my Minnesota Vikings concept that I made in January. The concept is based on the idea that there is a home/away set, color rush, and a throwback alternate. I based the main set on the vikings current uniforms while also implementing the concept drawings by Hubenthal. I used the current Vikings font but without the serifs, added a white facemask, and tweaked the horn logo slightly. For the color rush uniform I decided to base it on the all white uniforms the vikings wore from 1969-1995 with the UCLA stripes. I based the alternate/throwback on the 1965 uniform set, where the numbers are outlined and the stocks dont have stripes.
  2. Hello all. First let me say if this is in the wrong place I am sorry. I have been a long time member who used to post a lot way back when but haven't a long time. I just remembered awhile back I have an account here. Anyway. I am a big Dolphins fan and I have been attempting uniform swaps for quite awhile. There is a guy on the net that used to post the best ones on but he wouldn't help me learn how to do swap informs. So over the last 13 years I have been attempting to figure it out. I have a folder with a few swaps over on Deviant Art starting with Ndamukong Suh and ending with the recent addition of Fitzpatrick. I know there is still quite a way for me to go to make these look absolutely photo realistic but I am still happy with the end result. Here is the original I started with: And here is the swap (I added a few effects to make certain areas pop as I used it for a wallpaper): I would love some feed back. Like I said I know there are areas (like the orange shoes and gloves) that need some tweaking but I think I will apply any tips to future swaps. Again if this is in the wrong place please move it to the correct forum.
  3. With the new Miami Dolphins set a mere week away the time is running out to get concepts of what they could do in before it becomes what they should've done. I personally am a fan of the Dolphins current logo and unis, it's undeniable the fanbase longs for a return to the former set. I made the colors a blend of the 1974, 1996 and current logo to keep the colors lighter. The original plan was to keep the lineless look of the current logo and apply the '96 shape but the logo needs an outline to push the motion and tie down the teal. The script retains a retro/deco flow that I think is vital for any Miami team look. The shell returns to pure white with a teal facemask. The uniforms keep similar pant striping to the current set but I pull striping from the popular throwbacks. For the alt uniforms I use the dark blue rather than the orange as a matter of preference through I may draft up an orange version later since it is definitely more "Miami". Insert NikeSpeak about new era, and fusion of past legacy and future success.
  4. Here's another shot at football design. I took a stab at the Miami Dolphins, who have one of my favorite identities of any team out there. I took this as an excuse to play around with some new templates I stumbled upon, and I like them all a lot. Home Away Alternate Color Rush That's all! Thanks for reading all this!
  5. Hello all! I've been a pretty busy commentator here on the boards, but I've never done an actual concept series. I started one, but I was ill prepared to continue it. Now here I am with a concept series that we've kind of seen before. Much like the Bowl Game Wallpapers from Forbes, here is an NFL Playoff series of wallpapers starting wiht the AFC and NFC Wildcard Rounds. The concept is pretty simple, helmets facing each other, on a colored background of the team colors. The goal was to use three team colors if possible, but with the Packers and Giants and such, I had to use only two. C&C much appreciated as always, let's go ahead and get to it.
  6. I'm not sure if there is a place for this on this board, or if it is even allowed, but I recently took a chance and bought a "'47 mystery original mystery franchise". Basically, for 12 dollars, you take a chance and '47 Brand will send you a random hat. (It is probably a creative way to get rid of their stuff that didn't sell). Anyways, I took a chance last week and got a Cubs hat, which I happened to already have, but it is my favorite hat, so it was cool to get a hat that is discontinued. I tried it again and got a Dolphins hat. I won't wear it. Does anyone have a new or gently used hat they want to trade? Preferably something low profile, relaxed fit?
  7. This is an idea for a Dolphins logo I had using the sun to make a D and the underbelly of the dolphin to make an M. C&C would be much appreciated thanks.
  8. I'm sure some of you have seen this image before, but if you haven't, there are some wordmarks on here that can't be found anywhere else, including The Dolphins, Chiefs, Giants and Falcons wordmarks being the rarest to find anywhere on the internet. The Dolphins and Giants not being easy to find surprise me because these were the wordmarks each team used for their respective Super Bowl appearances for VI, VII, XXI, and XXV. In working on many projects involving using older wordmarks and logos, I have been able to recreate the Giants and Falcons wordmarks in a higher resolution, and most recently, the Dolphins. I'm posting this so there will be a high res version of the Dolphins wordmark somewhere, for anyone interested in using it. Here are all possible color combinations (the very first is what they used for Super Bowl's VI and VII): **EDIT** I updated the dimensions
  9. UPDATED THE IMAGE URLS, I HOPE EVERYONE CAN SEE MY WORK! Hello there, don't really post much at all on this forum, however this side project seems worthy of a post. Nike-esque, Bright vibrant NFL. To me this is what the perfect modern NFL would look like. Credit to Conrad for some of the fonts, as well as SportsLogosNet for some base logos. Template was my own.
  10. I know one thing...after several months in mothballs, College to Pro makes its season debut tonight, with four of the best rushers to ever come out of Burnt Orange nation. For anyone new to this, what I try to do in C2P is see what a given player's college and pro uniforms would look like if the designs were swapped, and I will generally make every effort to achieve a good swap. If I need to take a few liberties, like adding a color or two, up to and including creating a frankenlogo (or using one of you guys' logos), I will. Which is why I haven't done any Oregon alums yet Age before beauty, as the old saying goes...the one and only Tyler Rose, Earl Campbell One of the freer spirits to ever grace the gridiron, Ricky Williams Yes, in this case, the sun was traded to Austin. And if the striping order seems a bit off to you, you gotta remember that in this case, burnt orange replaces aqua, so black replaces orange coral. Decided to enlist the old Michigan Panthers' champagne silver color to replace navy. If ya need the loooord, call the Priest...Holmes, that is. Faster than a speeding bullet, more touchdown catches than a Chiefs wide's a bird, it's a plane, it's Jamaal Charles! The arrowhead just looked a bit too awkward completely blank, so the KC remained. Likewise, I tried to add a UT to the longhorn, but that looked really I followed Clint's suggestion and placed it above instead.
  11. So, I'm pretty much in awe of the new Dolphins throwback. It outpaces the limp uniform they just got a few years ago by a few miles. I would have very few issues with simply making it the new primary. However, I thought with a tweak or two, it could be pretty close to perfect. There are IMO two basic issues with the throwback, as is. The slightly muddled original logo, and the inconsistency between helmet and pants stripes. For the former, I went with a combination of the current cruise line logo's sun, with the cleaned up helmet-dolphin created by Ren69 in his logo thread. (Thanks, Ren... great work.) For the latter, my first thought was to copy the helmet stripe onto the pants, but the more I thought about it, I decided to do the opposite. For one thing, the aqua/orange/aqua Braiser stripes on the pants just look so classic, Also, they match the color pattern on the sleeve stripes really well, too. So, with a slight adjustment to the expected road sleeve stripes, I've got consistent color patterns overall, and a nice looking package. What do you think?
  12. If it isn't obvious already, I am a Dolphins fan. I saw the new 50 Seasons commemorative patch and thought it was really cool. I haven't seen a digitalized version of it yet, so I made this: Here is the reference: Please leave some feedback!
  13. Hey, y'all. I haven't posted any concepts here in a while for many reasons, of which I will name a few (and I'm not calling anyone out, I just have a few things to get off my chest): Most of my hard work gets pushed down to the depths of the second or third page by sloppy, rushed, and half-baked concepts that for one reason or another stay on the top page and get millions of comments. There are many immature people here that simply post things like "your concept sucks," "this is terrible," or (and this is my personal favorite) "your idea is wrong because of x, y, and z. This would never be seen in real life!" And these next ones, to show that I'm not solely passing the blame on others, have to do with my flaws. I have trouble with commitment; I say I'm starting a series with the intent on finishing it in its entirety, yet I never do. Even with all of the sub-par work out there that I mentioned, there is a ton of great work on these boards and I feel as though my concepts get overshadowed because my skills are not as great as others. And last but not least, it's something that everyone on here experiences: Life. Life has just been crazy lately and I haven't had the time to sit down and work on some concepts like I would like to. So, there you have it. I don't plan on making this a series per se because I know that I'm not going to get all of the teams finished. But let's just say, if I do get some stuff done I'll dump it here. TL;DR - I haven't posted concepts in awhile due to silly things but I'm posting a few now because of reasons. And if I haven't lost you yet, I'll explain a little bit about each concept. Over the past couple of years, Nike has graced all of us with redesigns of each of the three teams that call Florida their home (...why on earth does Florida need three NFL teams?). All three designs have been not well-received to put it lightly. However, each overhaul shares some qualities that, IMO, are worth saving or fixing. I have attempted to fix all three Floridian teams to my liking. While there may not be any major changes, I did work hard on these. In fact, I've been working on Jacksonville and Tampa Bay off and on for a while, and I started on Miami about five hours ago and just finished not too long ago. To get things started we have the Jacksonville Jaguars. Now, the Jaguars probably have the worst look of these three teams currently and that's mainly because of their helmet. The black to gold concept isn't too bad of one in theory and especially when the idea behind the helmet was to, and I'm paraphrasing here, "show the Jaguar lurking from the shadows into the light." Pretty cool, huh? Not so much. The current Jags helmet goes from gold to black suggesting that the jaguar is crawling back into the darkness, probably to escape the perpetual mediocrity that rushes onto the field year after year. All kidding aside, though, I actually think the helmet could work if done properly, which is what I tried to do. The helmet now goes from black to gold so that the Jaguar is emerging from the darkness. As for the jerseys, teal is making its triumphant comeback as the primary color. Black has had its time as being the Jaguars primary color. Besides, it's still featured prominently throughout the color scheme and I've even included a special "black out" alternate jersey. I fixed the problems of the black numbers on the teal jersey as dark numbers on a dark jersey hardly ever work out. The TV numbers are on the sleeves instead of the shoulders to make room for the subliminal jaguar-spotted striping pattern on the shoulders. This pattern can also be seen on the pants. So, here are the Jaguars: *click for zoom* Up next we have the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Tampa Bay, in my opinion, actually have some pretty awesome uniforms, it's just that the number font is a mess. But before we get into that, let's talk a little bit about the logo and colors. I don't know if you can tell or not, but I significantly darkened the red and reduced the color scheme to red/pewter/silver. The logo has the "tatters" n the flag just as the previous logo did and the entire concept is devoid of orange (except for the football in the logo). The uniforms still have the shoulder yoke that the Bucs' current jerseys do except for the fact that it extends all of the way to the collar -- which is all pewter instead of half pewter, half red. The yoke has some stripes on it to emulate slashes of a sword as does the long stripe on the pants (in all honesty I tried making the pant stripe mimic a sword/sheath). The alarm-clock number font is completely replaced by a modern, yet simple font that makes due without horrible gimmicks. Oh, and the shoulder logos now match. The "Bucs" wordmark is now strictly on the chest, right above the number. The Buccaneers, gentlemen: *click for zoom* Finally we have the team that has probably received the least amount of criticism from the Nike overhaul: the Miami Dolphins. Let me begin by saying that I love Miami's new logo. At first I was like "meh, it's alright." But it's grown on me and I believe it to be multiple times better than their previous logo. That being said, I don't much care for the blue in the color scheme. The Dolphins should always be just aqua and orange. The blue in the logo will stay on the helmet, but you won't find it anywhere on the jerseys. The aqua facemask is also making a well-needed comeback. The jerseys are simple, yet a little different from what the 'phins have ever worn. The helmet, pant, and shoulder stripes are all the exact same on the home uniform and the only one that differs on the away uniform is the helmet stripe. The shoulders feature Northwestern stripes on a background that is the same color of the pants, or opposite that of the jersey. Currently, the Dolphins have this really hokey number font that I'm not too fond of, so I used a different font that is slimmer and looks better, IMO. There's not much else to say about this one, as it's pretty straightforward. Here are the Dolphins to wrap it up: *click for zoom* So, if you read all of that guys; I thank you very much. Please share any thoughts, comments, or constructive criticism with me as I'm always open to suggestions on how to progress my ideas! Thanks for viewing everyone, have a nice day!

  15. Hey guys, I decided to attempt to update the Dolphins logo. Personally, I think the logo should be a little more aggressive. I tried to make it more aggressive by making the sun design more jagged and changing the eyes. Also, I wanted to bring back the helmet. Let me know what you think!
  16. Hello all, I am brand new to this site, I found it last week and have been really enjoying reading the threads and looking at concepts. This past spring I redesigned the Dolphins uniforms before their latest uniform release but after their logo was leaked. So I took the leaked logo and designed a uniform set around that. I realize that this isn't good timing because they have just released their new uniforms, but since I just found this site I decided to put up my ideas and see what all of you think. At the time I submitted my ideas to Paul Lukas's ESPN/uniwatch uniform redesign challenge. (Side note: this was my first uniform design so that is why the first image is in fairly low quality. I recently did the on body jerseys. A big thank you to bigvolsfan for the template. I wasn't able to get the base layer sleeve though.) The only thing that I have changed from my original design is the sock stripes. Originally they were even more complex. Other than that, I have left the concept the same. I have some ideas about changes to make, but I wanted to hear what all of you think before making any other changes. The main design concept is the wave going down the side of the jersey. This is why I have used the original template that I did--so that I could show the wave going from the jersey to the pants. The wave is taken from the lines in the new dolphins logo, and I think that it works with the Miami oceanfront vibe. The one long stripe that needs to be in the same color on both shirt and pants, that is why I have the blue pants with the white jersey instead of the green that would feel more natural. I was just going by the logo when I designed the uniforms, and I thought that they were moving away from orange and incorporating more blue. This is why I went with blue alternates instead of orange ones (and by looking at the new helmet stripe, this did turn out to be the case.) I was quite surprised when I saw that the font they now use for their Dolphins wordmark is fairly similar to what I had designed. (I am not suggesting that they saw my font and decided to use something similar; I just found it interesting.) I know that the NFL only allows one helmet that is not a throwback helmet, but I am including an alternate helmet assuming that Nike will convince the NFL to allow an alternate helmet so long as it is similar to the main helmet. This is why I have kept it white. Let me know what you think.
  17. I thought this deserved its own thread, since we're seeing the Fins uniforms on the field for the first time. I think they look great, but it's a little disorienting to see that the orange has been downgraded to a highlight color equal to the navy. Also disorienting is the huge "MIAMI" printed on the players' butts. I hope that's not something any other team emulates. One more thing - I'm watching football in HD for the first time and the Cowboys' pants no longer look green. Is it my TV? Or did they finally, FINALLY chuck the green pants? (Someone please tell me they chucked the green.)
  18. Just thinking...since the Marlins decided to go with a nightlife-inspired theme with their rebrand, what might the Dolphins look like if they went for the same feel? I'm sure many people would agree that very few cities could pull off the pink and make it work with a football team. I think it works.
  19. Having watched plenty of Miami Dolphins games and a handful of Hurricanes games, I'm starting to get annoyed by the end zone paint job. I know it's probably a silly thing to worry about, and I'm aware that by just putting MIAMI in orange and white it gives them a nice generic design that doesn't need tinkering with before every game. However, it looks to me like the Steelers and Panthers stopped doing the generic thing at Heinz Field, so why can't the Dolphins and 'Canes? If they're going to flip flop the U logo and the Dolphins logo, they might as well do the end zones as well, right? Thoughts?
  20. Just mucking around for a competition for another forum, I tried to make a dolphins logo based on the typical NFL rams/panthers/broncos/vikings/cardinals head facing right with a triangular cutoff at the neck style logo I'm not happy with the helmet stripes but i'm not really sure where to go with them. Trying to do something along the lines of the new helmet stripe doesn't really fit with the logo.
  21. http://s1102.photobu...09983.jpeg.html Blue: AFC East Green: AFC North Orange: AFC South Red: AFC West As you can see (or not cause this is pretty :censored:ty haha), I relocated the Bills to Toronto, the Dolphins to South Beach, The Chargers to Portland, Oregon, and the Jaguars to Los Angeles. I think those cities are more deserving than the ones that have their teams currently and make the divisions make more sense. Update: Here is what I have so far for the Los Angeles Grizzlies! 22. First of all, please excuse the AWFUL shoulder numbers. They were a pain in the ass and I finally decided to sat "F it" because I'm longing for sleep right now. That said, based on information I've gathered from all over the internet, these are what I'm expecting the Dolphins new uniforms to look like: Thoughts?
  23. First time using the nike elite 51 template. I decided to make a concept for the dolphins. let me know what you think!
