  1. Hey Guys! It's been awhile but I'm back with an inline hockey logo! I took the Hershey Bears logo as inspiration mainly because of how mean and intimidating the logo looked. I chose a "Deer" because where the team is located in Northeast Pennsylvania, there is an abundance of white-tailed deer. Of course, I had to use black and gold because...well, i just really like those colors for a hockey team! (Go Pens!) Hope you guys like this one! C&C Welcome!
  2. Hey Guys! So I know there are a lot of logos similar to this one. I designed this logo for a in-line hockey team. It's a train. It has colors. Hope you like this one! C&C Welcome!
  3. After seeing a fruitful discussion about a Washington Redskins throwback uniform from 2002-2003, I decided to make my first uniform concept since 2013. These aren't anything groundbreaking, but they represent the latest of what I would want to see my NFL team do with their uniforms. C&C appreciated.
  4. Hey Guys! Today I have a concept for the Pittsburgh Condors basketball team. I'm a big fan of Pittsburgh sport teams and think they can expand to other sports, like the NBA. I wanted to pick a team name that had some history in the city. I chose the ABA's 1970-72 Pittsburgh Condors. Previously known as the Pipers. The logos I've designed mirrors the city of champions with the good old Black and Gold. I went with Wing-Theme to be slightly different from the Hawks and Pelicans. With the basketball logo, I had to give a nod to the ABA Condors so they are not completely forgotten. ( Although their logo should ) Hope you like this one! ABA 1970-1972 Logo: NBA Pittsburgh Condors 2017 Logo: C&C Welcome!
  5. Hey Guys! Since we know the Las Vegas NHL expansion team will have something to do with Knights and Sand, I've decided to make a logo/team that already exists in the league. I don't know how they would get rid of Florida in the real world, but they did in my head. SO Las Vegas took over the Florida Panthers franchise and this is what I came up with. This makes sense, trust me. Since Pittsburgh abandoned Vegas Gold, I thought that would be perfect for Vegas. Basically the Pitt color scheme from a year ago. So! I hope you like this one! C&C Welcome!
  6. Hey Guys! Today I am sharing my Wilkes Barre Scranton Penguins logo concept. Its not that different from the logo they have now but I wanted an effective and simple logo. I hope you guys like it! C&C Welcome!
  7. This is the latest version of a reoccurring concept of mine to "modernize" the Steelers' uniforms. In this version, the helmet is matte and the facemask has been changed to a "steel" color, which is also used on the alternates. On the home jersey, the number font has been changed and the stripes now fit fully on the sleeves. On the away jersey, the entire shoulder cap is turned black to keep the shoulder stripes clean and consistent. I have two alternate ideas, both of which are merely concepts as they would require the NFL to change its rule on alternate helmets. One is a yellow jersey with a yellow helmet and steel sleeve caps and pants. The other is an all-steel alternate. The yellow and steel helmets (which would both be matte) have a chrome logo on the "blank" side.
  8. What did you think of the uniforms that Notre Dame wore for the ACC and NCAA Tournaments? Personally, I liked them. They were of a shade that could be worn as either home or road; they made good use of Notre Dame's little-used green while not neglecting their Navy blue; the script across the chest was very good, in my opinion; and the shamrock just made it better. However, this thread isn't primarily about what I think, but rather about what you all think. And...go!
  9. The mighty redux: Conceiving a new Anaheim hockey identityFrom the halcyon days of the Disney-born Mighty Ducks to the period of rule atop the league as black-and-orange-clad Stanley Cup champions, hockey fans in Anaheim have had the luxury of cheering for a team whose identities have consistently been unique and, well, awesome. Although the original Mighty Ducks identity was the butt end of many jokes during its run, its standing with fans remains favorable. It wouldn’t be a stretch to say a significant slice of the fan base would be happy to see it return. Several years after the team’s brand was toned down — and grown up — to become the Anaheim Ducks, the new look seems to have left people wondering what has continually driven the organization to move ever further away from its Disney roots. The latest update to the franchise look, however, has pushed the needle back in the other direction, if only slightly. The Mighty Ducks logo has been resurrected in the form of a shoulder patch, and the orange adornments from 2007 have spread and saturated more areas in an effort to co-opt the surrounding community’s culture. In other words, there’s lots to like, but realizing the full potential of this team’s identity will require revisiting some elements of its own past. MORE HERE: qckd.co/32
  10. Alright so I'm a huge Mizzou fan. And unlike some, i really like our current uniforms that were "rebranded" by Nike 2 years ago. I also love that Nike is rolling out some new bits and pieces for us. (different matte/metallic helmet combinations, a new chrome tiger sticker helmet, and a new anthracite jersey). But when we played in the SEC championship as the away team, i didn't like our look. I mean i didn't mind it, but i felt it could have been done better. So here i give you my concept for a "White-out" Mizzou Alternate Helmet: The Tiger and Facemask are not black, but a dark-grey/anthracite to match the sleeves of our white jerseys It would be worn when they wear their white pants. So with this look: I couldn't figure out how to make the helmets above white with Photoshop, so all could do is vectorize the helmet. If anyone would be willing to recolor/make the helmet above the new white one, it would be much appreciated. Thanks for looking, and C&C is much appreciated
  11. Okay, after putting my review for the Sharks I spent the last hour or so creating a mockup of what I would have done with Sharks if they gave me the opportunity. I know they wanted to listen to their fans while retaining some burnt orange, but the one stripe looks silly. If they are going to keep the orange anywhere on the sweater this would be a better way to go: But if it was me, here's what I would do if if the players didn't want helm striping. I took the orange, threw it up and sent it to Ducks Okay that really didn't make any sense. Anyway, got rid of the orange. Replaced it with a gray/silver. I also made the teal more teal-ish and lightened it. Used the diamond fin logo but with the lighter teal one-color wave with white cap and gray sky.
  12. My concept of the new Sabres alternate: http://s767.photobucket.com/user/HockeyJerseyConcepts/media/HJC%20Open%20-%20R2/Austin_zps60c7ec1d.png.html?t=1374108611 BTW you can vote for it (Austin) in the HJC Open here: http://www.hockeyjerseyconcepts.com/p/hjc-open_23.html Comments? 13. After seeing all the talk about the Penguins dropping their blue thirds and where they should go from their current edge jerseys led me down some new paths. I learned some things: The 90s Cup-era jerseys, which are what I'd like to see back, are not as popular as I thought. The mid-90s robo-Penguin is surprisingly popular. Mario hates it though. The 80s gold is popular, but nowhere near unanimously loved. Which is good, because Mario HATES it. The pre-edge jerseys were beloved, and so was the metallic vegas gold. So, I looked back over the Pens' history and got some inspiration. I didn't want to ignore the current jerseys, which have had their own era, and I didn't want to adopt an older jersey. I liked the triangles of the pre-edge jerseys, I wanted to bring them back. I also looked way back to the 70s and the jerseys not yet brought back, particularly those 1974 jerseys where they had an unexpected cup run. There have been triangle sleeves angled in all directions, but the pre-edge era make more sense in the age of sleeve numbers and patches all over. But I didn't want to simply bring back those jerseys in total. In time, I realized something: Those socks haven't changed since the initial return of the skating penguin. the Flyers based a jersey on their socks, and that was far, FAR more random. Why not the Pens? Plus, that made the jerseys far more versatile. You could use that template for anything, black with athletic gold, athletic gold with black, or any combination of blues. This is what I went with. The Pens have a habit of implementing jerseys as a third and then promoting it. That's my plan here. The new Pens' third jersey: With a new shoulder patch, made from a few key pieces: Who doesn't love the scarf? Put an 80s angry eye on it, close the beak because it looked too nice with it open, and eliminate the lines that were allegedly the result of a sponsorship deal from Mellon Bank. Then, that third can be promoted, and this can be introduced with it: and eventually, because Mario loves the blue, a third jersey. I thought of normal white shoulders, but these seemed so much more appropriate. The vegas gold did not look good with it, so I went old school. The clashing logo just looks so old timey. The only question was to use the secondary or the primary. This is the secondary version, I can post the other if asked. Thoughts? C&C?
  14. This is an update to a team I've been working with for awhile. The original logo turned out pretty neat, but looked more like an illustration than a logo. My main objective with this redo was to create something simple and introduce secondary logos to my league work. I feel like my design skill is still evolving, so I'd like to affirm that on the forum:) I'm set on the colors, but I'm open to c&c on the logos.
