  1. NBA Reverse Retro Series Why hello everyone! It has been years since I've been on the boards, but it's great to be back! With my first topic back, I wanted to tackle a project I worked on for fun late last year. The NBA Reverse Retro Series. After the NHL put out their Reverse Retro series of uniforms, I wondered what it might look like if the NBA did a similar thing. Now it is way harder to bring back a classic look for some teams because they never really left their classic look. The rules I set for this project were simple. Bring back a classic uniform from sometime in each team's history, but altered to fit their current colour scheme. Just like the NHL, team's could go back in their history, even wearing a jersey from a different city. Similar to what the Avalanche did with the Nordiques uniform. To start, this is the teaser, with each team represented and the year which the uniform is based on. I found all the logos and examples of the original uniforms from right on this site, I will add, I won't be making any changes at this point, I finished this project about a month ago, but I wanted to share it here and see what people think of this idea. C&C is appreciated!
  2. Hey guys its Derrick here from BACK with another eSports Logo Presentation! Its been a while since I've created a personal project, so I figured its time for another! With this one, I really wanted to create something I'm yet to see. If you follow my Instagram Page, you'll notice my curiosity with Skull Designs & Dark Logos and have made quite a few! So that was my base concept for this project, but I knew that wasn't enough! After doing some digging through my Pinterest Pins, I came up with a pretty dope concept! I decided to combine an Evil Skull, with the theme being around Ancient Egyptian Gold, Kings & Royalty, with a bit of Death & Fire! Quite the mixture I know, but again I wanted to create something dark, unique and distinct. One of the easiest ways to do that is by combining multiple different elements from different places and meshing them together for something original! Now that I had the basic concept and theme down, it was time to get to work! What we have below are the final results. I present to you the "Kings of Death" esports logo!
  3. Didn't see any posts about this, but they've changed to the Kings' colors and added a crown.
  4. In an attempt to both make the Burger King logo look good, and eradicate black from their color scheme, I came up with this Los Angeles Kings set. I know it's out there, but I like it. What do you think?
  5. Feel free to post your ideas or guesses or both. I might make another one later, but here's my first attempt. I wanted to try something a little different without going overboard. I did a gray stained wood inside the 3-pt line, as opposed to just painting over the wood. I thought the full body lion logo worked best as the secondary there, although that leaves out the lion head logo that is probably the best of the set.
  6. So I've been making logos for a while, but I never really took the time out to try a uniform concept before. After seeing the work of the NFL/NBA mashups from before, I was inspired to do something similar. At the time, the Kings seemed like a great way to start. If this went well, I was thinking about attempting a uniform for the St. Louis Blues, or go the opposite route and make a sweater for the Lakers. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
  7. With the "announcement" of new primary logos for the Jazz, Kings, and Pistons, what does everyone hope to see? I think that the Jazz may just do something simple and make one of their secondary logos the new primary, but as for the other 2, I have no idea. The pistons will go back into their history in some way I am sure but the Kings could just go wild (and I hope they do).
  8. Howdy Guys I've got a new one for you. I've come up with what I'd like to see from the ASG next year let me know what you think! Feel free to give it a like on dribble as well! As always feedback is appreciated!
  9. Last time I was here I did a redesign for the Phoenix Suns, for my next set I'm staying right in the Pacific Division with the Seattle Supersonics Anaheim Sacramento Kings In my first sketches with this logo I wanted to add some heraldic imagery and make the entire logo look more regal, but that didn't fix what I felt the issue with the Kings logo is. The whole thing is too busy. There's lances, there's ribbons, there's a crown, there's a basketball it's just all over the place. So from there I decided to pick out the crown and build around a sword/shield design (I toyed with castle ramparts but it made the whole thing messy again). The primary logo holds a shield and the corners in the middle came from an evolution of having the swords in that location. If you're the kind of person that likes a story behind a logo, the single diamond represents the Kings lone title as the Rochester Royals in 1951. The secondary logo is effectively the crown in application but this would function as a logo for social media / tickets / center court. The uniforms I was tempted to leave asymmetrical and only have the side paneling on the left side of the jersey (right side from viewer) to evoke the 1994-2002. As for why the full wordmark on the uniforms, I didn't feel that either font worked strong enough alone (though an inevitable mockup with the fonts may have you disagree) so I opted for the full shield. It just felt sturdier. I'll head off the inevitable, the gold on the back is the championship tag. So here we are, is the new logo better than the old, do you like the uniform design? Would you rather see a different shade of purple. C+C is always welcome and I'm willing to discuss the thought process
  10. A couple weeks ago I started a redesign for my high school. It didn't go well. I started a new thread to show off my new progress (the old one is on page 5 or 6). I hope you all enjoy! I spent a lot of time doing this. Things to keep in mind; It's not done! I will be updating it based on what you guys think and say and choose as your favourites! I will be doing an alternate uniform for 4 sports (baseball is already up). The leaf logo symbolizes how multicultural my school is, and how different our country, Canada, is as well. The crown is our old logo and I happened to like it, so I included it! The 3 stripes is not Adidas, before you ask, it's a religious meaning referring to the Holy Trinity (God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit). Read Now in ISSUU! (This was the rough draft, the good one is below) Read the Good Copy Here
  11. I don't know if many people agree with me but I think that the Stadium Series jerseys had a lot of missed potential this year, especially for the LA side of things. I think their more muted colour pallet bodes well with a half / half design, and tried to show that here. Gone are the gimmicky chrome or whatever designs on the logo and white pants, instead, a gimmicky logo altogether. Straight from the 1990s, INTRODUCING!!! the Sunglasses Lion logo!! This logo is lifted from the shield that fans either seem to have a love or hate relationship with. Why the Sunglasses Lion? Well the game is outside of course. You need sunglasses to keep that California sun out of your eyes. So without further ado the concept! Anyway... If you have any comments, or criticisms go for it. I am all ears. But not really... A person who was 100% ears would have a hard time typing this out since they wouldn't have fingers.
  12. I've decided to make a master thread for compiling my random NBA concepts. So...yeah, here we go. Lions Logo

Drew this lion logo up yesterday. I colored it for Detroit but it could work for other teams as well. What are your thoughts on the logo, possible teams, or color combos?
  14. Jerseys in this thread: Colorado Avalanche Pittsburgh Penguins Calgary Flames Anaheim Ducks Boston Bruins Los Angeles Kings Nashville Predators Edmonton Oilers These next concepts I will be bringing you (first time posting on the site) is from a template I recently made, so there are still some bugs I'm working out as I go a long, and as I upload these keep in mine I love listening to constructive criticism. But I cannot change these jerseys anymore since they are long gone from their original .psd file! Hope you all enjoy! The first 3rd Jersey is Colorado Avalanche. Colorado Avalanche 3rd Jersey - With this jersey being my first one with this template, you could say I was a beginner with it. I actually didn't realize it until after I finished that it had a nice hint to the Nordiques, but that wasn't my plan going into it. Rather just create an icy feel to the jersey. - This recieved a Concept of the Week nomination on! - Tell me what you think, and hopefully I can upload a new one soon. Can't wait to hear your response!
  15. Hockey logo designs, especially from NHL, have been my passion since childhood. I chose some franchises, which have great logo themes, but their current stylization could be more interesting. more here: http://www.behance.n...-part-1/8013305 I appreciate any constructive feedback, I want to hear some words from people, who have also passion in this stuff Feel free to share these concepts, you can also contact me, if you´re interested in my work.
  16. My second soccer concept is finally done. The Cincinnati Kings are a team in the 4th-tier Premier Development League. They were once in the USL Second Division, but they self-relegated due to a few bad seasons. Maybe a new image will bring them back from the brink of obscurity? The first thing I did was change their crest. The one they have is on top, and my concept is below it... Nothing too extravagant here. The main attraction is that the ball, combined with the three dots, makes it look like a crown. The home kit... The colors are based on what they're wearing already, but with a few added frills. the front of the jersey has a subliminated image of Cincinnati's flag, complete with the city's motto which means "unity is strength." I didn't want the sponsor logo to block this out, so I moved it to the back of the shirt, below the number. Kroger is a grocery store chain, and since it's based in Cincinnati, it was a natural choice for a sponsor. The change kit: Basically the same thing except all pieces of the uniform are now red, to lessen the chances of a clash situation with another black team. The alternate: This special kit is a tribute to the Society of the Cincinnati. The Society of the Cincinnati is a historical, hereditary lineage organization with branches in the United States and France, founded in 1783 to preserve the ideals and fellowship of the American Revolutionary War officers. Cincinnati, which was just a small village back then, was named after the Society. Nowadays the Society promotes public interest in the American Revolution through its library and museum collections, exhibitions, programs, publications, and other activities. The colors of the kit are based on the Society's flag. The dark blue stands for America, and the white and sky blue stand for France, which played a major role in the Revolutionary War as well as the War of 1812. There you have it. What do you think? C&C, please and thank you.
  17. So in a thread or two I've noticed a lot discussion about the deal that might be made for the sale of the Sacramento Kings to the Hansen-Balmer group to move the team to Seattle. I've been specifically curious as to what people think the branding direction should be taking. I personally would prefer either the SuperSonics name or something new to be rolled out. I'd however want that whatever the name is - to have the colours reminiscent of the Sonics colours. So what are your thoughts - ideas on branding and how they should treat all this? All the franchise history chatter should fit well here too of course, as well as rumours for designs and such.
