  1. Hello all, I had done a brand refresh for the Knicks a while back, prior to the release of the Nike uniforms, but seeing as the Knicks are now in position come next year to be competitive once again (not gonna jinx anything), I decided to give the Knicks an extensive refresh to the team's brand. Colors: The new blue and orange are more reminiscent of the the shade in the teams past, becoming deeper and more pronounced. Silver is removed entirely in the color scheme. Primary Logo: A blend of both the Knicks' 70s logo and the logo from the Present (New York removed). The font is an updated version of the one they currently use. Secondary Logo: Simply a recolor of their current secondary with the silver outlining removed. Uniforms: The chest text on the jersey reverts to the old style the team had used since the 60s and are well known for. The silver outlining is removed entirely leaving only the white/blue and orange on the sleeves. The shorts receive a new side and waist pattern reminiscent of the 70s and 90s uniforms but reworked in color so it matches up with the pattern on the bottom of the shorts. The new primary is also added to the short where the old one was. I welcome any CC and general comments and I hope y'all like it!
  2. THIS IS VOL 1 VOL 2 VOL 3 VOL 4 VOL 5 League: NBA League Branding: Nike Team: New York Knicks Jersey Advertisement: Squarespace The Vision: Yesterday my return post was meant with great criticism. Majority of people hated my concept because it was to out there for them. I listened to the critics harsh words, and went back to the drawing board. For today's concept I wanted to once again create a nontraditional design, so what better league than the NBA. I once again choose an iconic New York team, this time it was the Knicks. Today I bring you a much better presentation as well. Thank you. Lifestyle Quote: "A snake will hiss, and a dog will bark. Animals are creatures of habit." -Kong Tom Team Quote: "To design for the Knicks, one must take the pride of the city to heart, and embrace it as their own." -Kong Tom I hope you enjoy, and please leave honest feedback. Thank you.
  3. So, if anyone knows me well, I do not mess around with NBA often. As far as tradition goes, I know the most popular teams but other teams I'm not so sure on. In this case, I'm pretty sure the Knicks have some foundation with a traditional look, no? Well, this goes what I believe to be in a very different direction the Knicks have ever gone to. To me, it's a mix of traditional design with modern design. Not sure if I should continue this concept further (full on primary, secondary marks, white jersey, court design). Depending on the responses I may continue this. Hopefully, there is something to build on. Let me know! Template found @Webpixum .com
  4. Hey y'all: Decided I'd take a shot at rebranding the New York Knicks, a team with a current brand identity plagued by horribleness and bad management. General Comments: Silver will be removed from the color scheme in its entirety, leaving a new vintage blue, a slightly darkened orange, and white as the three colors. LOGOS: Primary: This roundball concept is similar to that of the 70th anniversary logo the team used last season, featuring the new orange from that logo as well. The logo features the Knicks' current ball alternate logo center stage, with New York Knicks Basketball branding and the teams establishment date, 1946. Secondary: This works off of the Knicks' primary logo history, specifically in the past 25 years. However, it incorporates the ball from the older logos while donning an updated "Knicks" text above the ball where all of the letters are the same size in proportion. It holds far more true to the logo of the championship era than the current one, which still holds a bad taste of the Isiah Era. Partial: Simply enough, this is a reversed color version of the ball logo, used primarily on white. UNIFORMS: The new nike branding is added near the right shoulder and Chase will be on the left side as the jersey ad. The sleeves no longer are broken in the middle and are now connected. Both the home and road jerseys cut the silver from the sleeves/neck as well, leaving blue and orange on the home and white and orange on the road. Both uniforms also adopt the new shades of blue and orange, but the fonts remain in tact, although also with silver removed. The home jersey features the partial logo on the shorts, while the road features the secondary on the shorts; both replacing the old primary. While this uniform refresh is not drastic (due to the novelty of the existing uniforms), it makes some much needed changes and is similar to that of the Timberwolves uniform refresh in the late 00s. What do you think?
  5. It appears the Knicks are making changes to their court for the 2015-16 season, specifically, the paint. It looks like the Knicks' color scheme is more "blue and orange" rather than their traditional "orange and blue". Note: My source is NBA 2k16's trailer, as shown in the images below. Original Court: New Court: Evidence (NBA 2k16):
  6. Hi guys, My girlfriend and I are planning a trip to NYC and we'll be going to a few sports games. I've never been to an NBA game before and I'm looking for some advice as far as where to sit at MSG for a Knicks game. We want a decent view but don't want to break the bank (around $100-$120 USD would be ideal). I've been looking at seats in the 200 level but I have two concerns... From the pictures I've seen from these sections, there appears to be an overhang above the seats that seems like it would make the seats feel closed in and a little more removed from the atmosphere of the arena. Also, since I've never been to an NBA game, the 200 level seems like it might be too far away. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

  8. Yep, nike is taking over the nba, or at least in my mind lol...heres the knicks away uniform. I wanted to keep it colse to what it is now but even more simple, i think they look great in a clean, simple, neat uniform..also, i changed the blue on the logo to a darker blue
  9. Alright. WIth these I combined a few ideas I saw into one. Tell me what you think, specifically on the side art. I'm working on alternates now and I was wondering if the side art would look better on them or if it needs to be more simple altogether. S/O to Funkatron101 for the logo.
  10. I personally like the new scoreboard/jumbotron @ Madison Square Garden. What do you think?
  11. This image was just posted on Iman Shumpert's instagram just over half an hour ago. New orange alternate it seems for the Knicks:
