  1. Hi everyone, I have recently started a new project where I have made it a goal of mine to combine all of the sports logos from NHL, NBA, NFL and MLB (and at times MLS) from all of the major cities in the U.S. and Canada to create a singular city logo. I know this has been done countless times before but the way my designs stand out is they are more cohesive. They feel less like something was Frankenstein'd together and can almost act as a standalone logo. Consider this the definitive collection. I say this with confidence because they were all composed in Adobe Illustrator with linework redone to make the designs more seamless, images rendered in crisp high resolution quality, each one taking several hours of work and trial and error and the cherry on top of the cake is that I own my own print shop so I can make stickers and shirts out of these designs. It's a true passion project for me. My journey began when I was first getting serious about graphic design, the summer right before I enrolled at DePaul in 2013. I created a mashup of all the Chicago logos because I wanted my own version of it. All the variations I had seen online did not do the city justice and I wanted something genuinely more badass that wouldn't look cheesy. I dubbed it "The Chicago Beast". It was cool for a few years and then I sort of forgot about it - well in 2019 I decided to take another crack at it and make a wildly popular rendition of this logo mashup combination - you may have seen it online (I made a North Side - Cubs and a South Side - White Sox version. Both featured elements of the Blackhawks, Bears and Bulls. I have made slightly different variations - some including the 6 star Chicago flag and others with different color arrangements. Fast forward to 2021 - A whole year of the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown had me yearning for another creative project that I can do for fun. I decided - why not give every city this same treatment? And so I did - "Major League Remix" (#MajorLeagueRemix). I will be posting the designs in this thread and would love some feedback! While I do consider these designs to be 'complete', as a true designer, I know there is always room for improvement, especially since teams change logos frequently. A few things to note (ground rules) for my concepts: They don't necessarily have to use the entire design of the logo in the mashup. They can be as little or as much as possible - the only rule is they have to look cohesive and make sense - no Frankenstein work! I often use past versions of team logos although I try to use the current ones as much as I can. This is because my goal is to make the logo look good, and if I use the core logo, it may not look the best. I have struggled a lot to piece some of these together because of the lack of uniqueness, clean design or symmetry so I have had to resort to alternates. Colors are fair game - as long as they are pulled directly from within the color palette of the city's sports logos. They all have a white border with rounded corners for consistency and also to set them up for sticker printing. That is all! I am so glad to be a part of this awesome forum - I can't think of a more perfect place to post this kind of work on the internet. 2. Hello! I just want to start a concept topic about a mashup of logos of the franchises from each city. The result will be a logo for each city (in NY and LA two logos) representing the NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL and MLS teams. So, this is the first one: Los Angeles (part I). -City: Los Angeles -Colours: Los Angeles Lakers colours (purple (#552583 ) and gold (#fdb927) -LA letters from the Los Angeles Lakers jersey logo -Ram head from the Los Angeles Rams logo -'Los Angeles' name from the Los Angeles Dodgers jersey logo -Baseball from the Los Angeles Dodgers logo -Crown from the Los Angeles Kings logo -Shape from the LA Galaxy logo Thank you for your time here.
  3. Hey all. I've posted similar projects like this here in the past and just wanted to share. In honor of the NBA season kickoff and Dr. Strange being right around the corner I wanted to unveil my NBA Marvel Logo Mashup Project. This project uses all 30 NBA primary logos. Each logo is combined with a Marvel Comics character. The goal was to mimic each logo as closely to the original as possible. Matching color usage, line weights and fonts. You can see this set and more at my website, wechoosetogotothemoondesign.com Thanks!
  4. Hello everyone, I was recently checking out the NFL/Marvel logo mashup topic along with similar pages and thought they were awesome. It inspired me to do something similar, but I doubt I could live up to those already done with the NFL and major comics like Marvel, so I decided to go to the 2nd tier of football and comics and mashed up the Arena Football League and Dark Horse Comics. This presented an extra challenge, as I'm familiar with some Dark Horse comic characters but not a ton. I made the rule that I was working with Arena team's primary logos, and tried to match comic characters based on team colors, logo and general concept. I'l include the original team name with logo since they aren't as well known. This is my first time sharing on this forum, and I only have Paint.NET to work with so please be gentle, lol. Here is a list of teams names linking to posts as I post them, and below that are my first two logos, I hope you like them! Arizona Blue Rajas (Rattlers/The Blue Raja) Cleveland Spartans (Gladiators/300) Jacksonville Sammaels (Sharks/Sammael) Las Vegas Sinners (Outlaws/Sin City) Los Angeles Liz (KISS/Elizabeth Sherman) New Orleans Hellboys-Ver. 2 (Voodoo/Hellboy) Orlando Predators (Predators/Predator) Philadelphia Abe Sapians (Soul/Abe Sapian) - In this post Portland Feedback (Thunder/Feedback) San Jose Tricksters (Sabercats/The Mask) Spokane Shovel (Shock/The Shoveler) Tampa Bay Xenomorphs (Storm/Xenomorph) Philadelphia Abe Sapians (based off Philadelphia Soul):
  5. Like the NFL? Like Marvel superheroes? Then this post is for you! haha I've been working on this project for a few months now, and I've finally finished all 32 teams. I'd love to know what you think! AFC NORTH AFC EAST AFC SOUTH AFC WEST NFC NORTH NFC EAST NFC SOUTH NFC WEST
  6. As I mentioned in my KC Chiefs logo concept post, I am obsessed with logos designed in the 70's. So after I did the Chiefs, I decided to do another team: the Celtics. I looked at the shape of a clover / shamrock and noticed that the right side could be tweaked into a "B" for Boston. Perfect! After I made the all-green version, I decided to make a version for the Red Sox by simply changing the color of the B from green to red with a navy blue outline: . . . . Then I realized that this logo now represented both the Celtics AND Red Sox, and realized I had a potential all-Boston mashup logo on my hands and wondered how I could incorporate the Bruins and Patriots. So I took the circle design from the background of the Bruins logo and put that behind my clover B logo, and then put Pat Patriot's tricorn hat on top. BOOM! I think this would make a great tattoo. If anyone wants to get it done feel free, just take a pic after it's done and post it in this thread so I can see it. I'd love to hear what you guys think of these!
