  1. So I have been tinkering with several different options for the OKC Thunder this coming season. These are based off of the city & statement collections, as if they brought them into their regular rotation. Sorry for the crudeness of the drawing. Let me know what you all think.
  2. Okay so I am posting for the first time in about 7 months... back when i used to use paint to make concept jerseys.... I have gotten better at designing and I decided to put my skills to use on my favorite basketball team, the Oklahoma City Thunder. Unlike many, I have always loved the Thunder's colorway and most of their uniform sets. Especially the away uniform. Anyway, I always felt like there could be a little bit of flare added to their uniforms. The designs I created take inspiration from the current Nike sets that they have right now as well as looking past to retro 90s uniforms. Take a look. The uniforms go as followed: White Association uniform, blue Icon uniform, Sunset uniform, and Thunderstorm city uniform
  3. Everyone seems to hate everything about the Oklahoma City Thunder's image. I'll admit, the logo needs to change. But the colors, name, court, and jerseys always looked nice to me. I am an Atlanta Hawks fan by birth (born in Atlanta) and an OKC Thunder fan by adoption (going to college in Oklahoma). I am not a Photoshop god, but when creating these uniforms I wanted to keep them simple yet provide a touch that an OKC resident would appreciate. I'm sure somebody could do a better job editing than me but look past the technical flaws and focus on the idea. I removed all stripes and different colors from colors, cuffs, and sides. I focused on the blues, orange, white, and black while dropping the yellow. I gave the Thunder a uniqe font instead of the arial letters they use right now. On the back of the jerseys, a brick pattern can be seen, a reference to the Bricktown district of Oklahoma City. As far as the alternate jersey goes, Loud City is the nickname for the city's fans. Again, focus on the idea and not my rough sketch version. But I feel like my design is simple yet effective, but also unique to the Thunder. Give me your thoughts.
  4. One of the teams I see the most concepts for on the internet is the Oklahoma City Thunder, and for good reason. They have one of the best color schemes in the NBA, but never seem to utilize it to their full potential. I've had a few ideas for the Thunder floating around in my head for a while, but didn't exactly know how to implement them. I wanted to bring in some Native American themes using the Thunder's color pallete, but not go too too crazy with OKC's unique scheme. When it was announced that Nike would be outfitting the NBA next season, I set to work putting my ideas into reality. For this concept I created a custom tertiary logo for use on the shorts. It is a simple "OKC" monogram in the shape of a roundel. The background of the first version of the logo also shows off a special pattern I developed for the uniforms. Called Kiowa Sunrise, it combines Native American design elements with the OKC color scheme. This pattern is the bread and butter of the uniforms, and is also featured on the background of the first version of the logo. I wanted to keep the uniforms really simple and let the colors really speak for themselves. The uniform is simple plain white and features a blue old west style arching "Thunder" wordmark and sans serif numbers, similar to their current font. The main event really is the Kiowa sunrise elements, on the side panels of the jersey and at the bottom of the shorts. A plain white "OKC" logo is found at the bottom of the shorts. The powder blue away uniforms are the same as the homes with a few differences. White replaces the powder on the Kiowa Sunrise pattern, and a powder "OKC" logo replaces the white one on the bottom of the shorts. A white split "Oklahoma City" also replaces the "Thunder". I must admit, I went pretty out of the box with the alternate jerseys. The Kiowa Sunrise pattern is sublimated over the entire top of the black jersey, with an arched "OKC" over the number. The other big feature on these uniforms is the big logo style Kiowa Sunrise version of the OKC on the shorts. Other than that, the jersey is trimness and pretty stripped back to let the pattern talk. What do you guys think? Any constructive critism/feedback is welcomed.
  5. I decided to take a shot at some of the expected uniform changes in the NBA for the 2015-16 season. First up is the Hawks... I decided to run with the red/volt/charcoal color scheme that's been reported. The uniforms are sort of a mix of eras. I kept the current wordmarks and numbers, sans beveling. The unis feature the diagonal stripe/wordmark on the chest from the 80s, a straight stripe down the player's left side a la the early 90s set, and the updated Pacman logo on the right leg that was feature on both of the above. The left side of the shorts feature a vertically stacked "ATL", with "HAWKS" on the charcoal alternate, reminiscent of several different sets the Hawks wore. I tried out a full charcoal court, which has also been rumored. Not sure how I feel about it, so let me know what you think. And no, I will NOT do a volt uniform.
  6. I was thinking about rare color combinations for sports teams today and I think I found the rarest without including pink or purple: orange and yellow. The only team I can think of that even *INCLUDES* orange and yellow in their colors is the Oklahoma City Thunder, but their primary color is blue and orange and yellow are only used for trim on the uniforms, although orange is a big part of their logo. Has the Thunder ever worn orange or yellow alternate jerseys? After the Thunder your choices are extremely slim if not nothing, at least in the U.S. You have the original Tampa Bay Buccaneers uniforms, and even though yellow would fit nicely into that uni set, it wasn't one of their colors (their actual colors being orange and red). Then you have the Vancouver Canucks with their late 70's / early 80's jerseys with the infamous giant V neck design. Even though in some pictures it looks orange, and on the Canucks' Wikipedia page it is referred to as "red-orange", the "red-orange" color was actually closer to red and the others were yellow and black. This is sooooo flippin' close to being a team with orange and yellow in their uniforms but the "red-orange" color is just too red! Oh well. In my research I discovered that FC Barcelona, a European soccer team out of Spain, has worn orange and yellow gradient uniforms. (Oddly enough their home colors are red and blue but their usual away unis are mono orange and their usual alternate unis are mono yellow! I wonder what the reasoning behind this is...) I'm surprised some pro or college team in Florida never went for orange and yellow because it is a very citrusy combination and Florida is famous for it's oranges. Now it's your turn. I am open to hearing about ANY pro team (big 4, minor league, foreign) or any U.S. or Canadian college team (Division 1, 2, or 3) that currently has orange and yellow as their colors or part of their colors, or once did. No high schools please. GO!
  7. I am selling two revolution 30 authentic Kevin Durant Thunder jerseys. One is the home white, size MT (Adidas's size for medium) and the other is the brand new navy alternate, size LT (large). Both were purchased from NBAStore.com. The White home jersey is less than a year old, and I have worn it twice. The Navy one is brand new, I have only worn it once. I am not necessarily looking for full price on both, just a fair price for both. I am willing to negotiate. I am posting this on here because I figured these would be appreciated more than someone through eBay. If interested, shoot me a DM and we can discuss a price.
