  1. Logo Concept - Boston Celtics The Boston Celtics have a pretty timeless logo so for an update I couldn’t do anything too crazy. I mostly made the line widths a little more even, made the lettering better spaced on the outer circle. The biggest changes are to the Celtic’s vest and tie which is no longer gold and/or carrying an unnecessary number of clovers all over it.

    Bills Tweak

I decided to take a stab at the Bills. And then I realized I actually really like their look. So this is moreso a tweak (and practice for me). Changes: -Modified the striping to be pretty consistent all across the board (including helmet--no tapered stripes) -Modified a block font to include slightly rounded edges as seen in the BILLS wordmark -Modified the socks... so that they make sense -Removed the wordmark from the jersey--for cleanliness' sake -Used a serif block font on the nameplate to better match other elements -Added "RCW" to rear helmet bumper (contemplated adding it to jersey in a small capacity) -Collar striping it slightly different (red trim on top and bottom of collar) All-in-all I'm actually really impressed with the quality of this concept, not necessarily the idea itself. I'm happy with the time I put into it, resulting in its cleanliness (IMO). (Made in MS Paint.) C&C?
  3. So, after feedback from those about my Stadium Series sweaters being too good to be Stadium Series apparel, I went back and looked at how to make the jerseys modern, yet keep the classic feel. I've narrowed it down to two sets, I feel they deserved their own thread as they won't have the Stadium Series Patch, nor the cream color. I've been a bit lazy in getting them posted, and today I look and see Demonkah's set, so they may appear a bit redundant, but still hopefully a little different. Here ya go. Home Sets: While A1 is strictly a classic look, with A2, I wanted to add a little flavor, and tried a white yoke, but wasn't feeling it, so tried gray and black and liked it. Not sure how others will feel about it. Road Sets: I really like both Road sets, but for me and B1, it's a teal-palooza. B2, adds a little contrast with the teal hem/sleeves and the black yoke. Which ones do you like? C&C is welcome as always.
  4. Much like most of you, I am disturbed by the direction the Jaguars have gone with their helmets (and uniforms). I don't particularly hate the uniforms, but the helmet is god-awful. I think we all agree on that. I've decided to take to the [Microsoft] Paint canvas for the first time in a while to hopefully conquer the challenge of a Jags set that everyone will like. *fingers crossed* What I've done: -enlarged the helmet logo -eliminated the gold from the helmet (matte black!) -Teal is the primary home uniform -Single outline on numbers/names (for simplicity's sake) -Tried to distribute colors pretty equally among sets, with the option of having teal, white, or black-heavy sets -Simplified the alt logo, not a fan of "JAGS" in an official logo That's the jist of it, I've done a lot of simplification. Anyway... Here it is. Projected Primary home set: With black pants Projected Primary road set: White-Out: Black-Out: With white pants P.S. I'm actually very proud of this set, especially after such a long hiatus haha. I'm actually in love with the blackout (sue me!). Yes, that's a gradient. But It helped with the color balance, and it'll still be legible. Annnnd, this is a template I made from scratch, just for the hell of it. Thanks for viewing! C&C Please
  5. I am a Redskins fan, and why I like the overall aesthetics of their look, there are a few things that bother me about it, so I made a few changes. Primary Logo I went to the single season 1982 "curled feather" logo, as I feel that with the current logo with the feathers hanging vertically means the Native American head/circle part gets shrunk a little more than necessary, especially on merchandise but also on the helmet. I also recolored the skin tone to be the burgundy of the rest of the uniform as it's never made sense to me to have two colors that are so close. Now the only color in the logo not on the uniforms is black. Home Uniform It annoys me that in the current set, none of the stripes on the helmet, jersey pants or socks match. I changed that by making them all match as double stripes, as the two color stripes on the jersey and pants are the pattern I associate with all three Super Bowl wins. I moved the sleeve stripes up very slightly to restore the cuffs. I also moved the TV numbers to the shoulders as with sleeve stripes and Nike logos, sleeve real estate is at a premium. So, the sleeve numbers become shoulder numbers out of pragmatism. As an additional note, I kind of suck at GIMP with this template, which is why the "stripes" on the 3 quarter helmet view look like paint spill, when they are supposed to be simple stripes continuing the pattern from the helmet front. Road Uniform Same reasoning and changes as for the home uniform. Only major change I made was bringing back the burgundy pants, as I miss them from the current set. The socks here are to avoid the dreaded leotard look. Your thoughts?
  6. What do you think of this logo and uniform tweak
  7. Welp, they're here and so are the opinions. Some like 'em, some don't. I seem to be with the majority who thinks that, while the helmets look something close to Danny Devito's bumcheek (sorry for the visual, but I figure you guys can take anything after seeing that helmet, right?), the uniforms themselves aren't half bad. Fairly decent, even. But who ever said that fairly decent ought to be enough? That's where we come in. I've made just a few changes that have probably already been discussed by other members to turn "fairly decent" into "decenter-ish" while keeping the overall design aspect intact. All I've done is: -Fix the helmet. There's no dissent here. It's gotta go. Here, it's been replaced with one that is matte black. The all-black fits with the set (as well as their tradition) and the matte, I believe, would make the shiny shoulder thingies come out a bit in comparison. -Thin the pants stripe. Not many would say that the Jags failed the the pants design, but I think it could be better. They said they wanted it to convey "speed," though, as it is, it's a little clunky. This could be fixed by thinning the stripe just a bit so it's closer to a conventional stripe. This better conveys speed. The logo has been spotted to follow the change. -Add a sock stripe. I've never been bothered THAT much by the leotard look, but it's worth avoiding it where one can. The tension is broken with a simple teal and gold stripe on the black socks. -Move the patch. Some dislike the patch. I rather like it, but it just seems so much more natural that it goes on the sleeves. I mean, I know you wanna keep your fans close to your heart, but why not proudly wear them on your sleeves? Also, it adds a design element to the big teal blotch and makes it less blinding. But, hey. Enough of my yakking! Whattaya say? Let's boogie! Btw, the monitor I did this on must be pretty crummy because I swear the helmet didn't look that blotchy before. Whatcha gonna do? Also btw, the base that I worked with isn't mine. I'm not sure about whose it is, but I appreciate it's existence.
