  1. Hello, it's my first time in a good while doing a logo series, but I thought I had some stuff worth sharing. This little series is based on the premise of the owners of the Milwaukee Bucks deciding to expand on their sports holdings and launch expansion teams in various other leagues. I have dubbed this hypothetical enterprise the Deer Sports Empire. Currently, aside from the Bucks they own the Wisconsin Herd. I will be leaving the logos for those teams as is, partially because I really like them and partially because the idea is the owners are launching new teams with similar branding touches (colors, font, etc). I also will not be touching MLB or giving them an NFL team as there's no world where those things would happen. These are the teams and leagues I plan to do so far. A couple are already done or close to finished. As suggestions (hopefully) are made and new ideas come to me I may add to this list. If anyone has a team in a league they would like to see, feel free to make suggestions. I dont have uniform templates for all the different sports so I'm just focusing on uniforms right now. 2. Hi everyone, For my latest project, I wanted to do address the overabundance of blue & red teams across Major League Baseball. For inspiration, I figured I'd look at the colors of other local teams to create some regional visual unity, similar to the way that all Pittsburgh teams use black and gold. Note that some teams will be using throwback colors of local teams, such as the first team below. We start today with the Texas Rangers in the San Antonio Spurs' fiesta colors. Thanks to @Victormrey for the suggestion! RANGERS HOME RANGERS ROAD RANGERS HOME ALT 1 RANGERS HOME ALT 2 RANGERS HOME ALT 3 RANGERS ROAD ALT C&C appreciated! Another team will be up soon.
  3. The Mil, sorry, NBA Champions Milwaukee Bucks have had a plethora of color schemes over the years. The originals were simple--green w/ red trim. They started experimenting with different shades of green in the 70's, and by the late 80's, fully embraced the "Irish Rainbow". Milwaukee then took an interesting turn and followed the purple craze of the 90's, leading to a look that was more "Mighty Ducks" than "Milwaukee Bucks". By the mid 2000's they decided to return to their roots, with the color red being featured prominently for the first time since 1986. Ten years later (sensing a trend?), the Bucks bring back the rainbow, but with a twist--cream becomes the secondary color, with black and blue replacing the bright greens. What I have decided to do is unite all of Milwaukee's past colors in a way that isn't garish (red, purple, light green and cream??), but also reflects and embraces the history of Milwaukee's basketball team. The Logo Purple (from the 90's), lime green (from the 80's), and red (from the 60/70's & 00's) all return to form a new "Irish Rainbow" in Milwaukee's current primary. The Uniforms (remain mostly the same from Milwaukee's current set, but there are a few key differences). The cream is darkened so that is is more legible when appearing on and/or next to white. The new rainbow appears on the side panels, and is now placed on the shorts as well. On the cream Statement, the new Irish Rainbow colors are featured across the chest. The Court What better way to unite the Bucks history than to bring back the Mecca? The pointed edges forming the "M" returns. The new Irish Rainbow is placed on the baseline, surrounding the wordmark.
  4. NBA Reverse Retro Series Why hello everyone! It has been years since I've been on the boards, but it's great to be back! With my first topic back, I wanted to tackle a project I worked on for fun late last year. The NBA Reverse Retro Series. After the NHL put out their Reverse Retro series of uniforms, I wondered what it might look like if the NBA did a similar thing. Now it is way harder to bring back a classic look for some teams because they never really left their classic look. The rules I set for this project were simple. Bring back a classic uniform from sometime in each team's history, but altered to fit their current colour scheme. Just like the NHL, team's could go back in their history, even wearing a jersey from a different city. Similar to what the Avalanche did with the Nordiques uniform. To start, this is the teaser, with each team represented and the year which the uniform is based on. I found all the logos and examples of the original uniforms from right on this site, Sportslogos.net. I will add, I won't be making any changes at this point, I finished this project about a month ago, but I wanted to share it here and see what people think of this idea. C&C is appreciated!
  5. This concept was started a few years ago here: http://boards.sportslogos.net/topic/98132-vintage-style-lipscombcoloradohoward/ . And I just went back and cleaned it up. Let me know what you think of the updates. Here is the image: And a GIF for comparison:
  6. As a Jazz fan who's not a huge fan of the current design (minus the City Edition jersey), I figured I would try my hand at redesigning the team. Changing the colors to dark purple, teal, and copper, the team resurrects a snowflake logo. The Association uniform is off-white, the Icon uniform purple, the Statement uniform teal, and the new City Edition uniform a gradient going from pewter blue to dark blue. C&C welcome!
