  1. I wanted to share a few intresting tidbits I found after deep diving into the Clippers branding(all because I wanted to re-create the old court in 2k). 1) When they rebranded in 2015, they officially became the "LA Clippers". NBA2K, NBA Live, Wikipedia, nba.com, and plenty more sources refer to them with the abbreviation. 2) Silver is actually an official color, which explains the Earned jersey from this season. 3) The rush job that is the above logo was actually created by the Miami Heat design team. (https://www.clipsnation.com/2015/9/12/9299611/panic-over-patience-a-logo-story) 4) While the uniforms use the "Clippers" wordmark, I have yet to see the full logo anywhere since 2017. Why is that? You clearly acknowledge that it exists, you have it smack dab on the front of your jersey!
  2. NBA Reverse Retro Series Why hello everyone! It has been years since I've been on the boards, but it's great to be back! With my first topic back, I wanted to tackle a project I worked on for fun late last year. The NBA Reverse Retro Series. After the NHL put out their Reverse Retro series of uniforms, I wondered what it might look like if the NBA did a similar thing. Now it is way harder to bring back a classic look for some teams because they never really left their classic look. The rules I set for this project were simple. Bring back a classic uniform from sometime in each team's history, but altered to fit their current colour scheme. Just like the NHL, team's could go back in their history, even wearing a jersey from a different city. Similar to what the Avalanche did with the Nordiques uniform. To start, this is the teaser, with each team represented and the year which the uniform is based on. I found all the logos and examples of the original uniforms from right on this site, Sportslogos.net. I will add, I won't be making any changes at this point, I finished this project about a month ago, but I wanted to share it here and see what people think of this idea. C&C is appreciated!
  3. Hello! I've decide to do a personal rebrand of the LA Clippers. Funny how this team is how I started on this forum... anyways, feel free to critique while i show off my stuff. I'll be adding some more stuff in the coming weeks along with some more info about the designs. This is the association (light) jersey. The back is to "simulate" a Foxhound fur pattern of sorts. This is the Icon (dark) jersey. This is the Statement (Alternate no.1) Jersey. And these are the City (Alternate no.2) Jerseys. Enjoy!
  4. I made a concept of Los Angeles Clippers old logo. I wish they would bring it back. But have some cleaner jerseys. and another tone of the colors. I wanted the colors to remind more of sailers ship crew and the ocean.
  5. Hello! long time lurker, semi-frequent poster. So this is my first real computer logo. Go easy on the "this line isn't perfectly parallel" or "this line isn't a perfect curve" but I'd like to hear all kinds of other C&C on this clippers rebrand I'm working on, good or bad. All I have is the primary logo but I'm planning on making secondary and tertiary logos, as well as a wordmark and some uniforms, but I wanted to make sure this logo is nailed before I continue to the rest. So this was done in Microsoft Paint, (yes, I know) but its the only program I know how to use, and I've tried inkscape but its a work in progress. I started with a drawing in a notebook, took a picture of it, traced it into paint and made it into the images you can see below. The colors of the team are to be the largest squares in the top corner, as in Powder Blue and Red, with Navy, Copper, and White secondary colors. I think the colors I picked below are the best for the logo itself, but if there is a suggestion please let me hear it! Enjoy and please leave all kinds of C&C!
  6. As many (most?) of you know, the (vast) majority of people think the new/current Los Angeles Clippers logo sucks... and for good reason. But spontaneously - out of absolutely nowhere - I came up with a brilliant concept. If nobody has thought of this before, I might actually be surprised. (Maybe a little?) Well, check this one out! It's a prototype that exemplifies the best of minimalist design (which is the trend du jour), while incorporating elements that make way too much sense. And yes - the red and blue used here is EXACTLY the same as that used in the current and former Los Angeles Clippers logos. The logo looks like a boat, which is a stand-in for a Clipper ship - the Los Angeles Clippers, which were originally based in the naval city of San Diego (as the San Diego Clippers), borrows its nickname from the aforementioned seafaring vessel. The logo incorporates a stylized "LA" (which you can see here), and the bottom of the logo incorporates a part of a basketball, which is commonplace for NBA logos. (By my count, two-thirds of all NBA teams have this as part of their primary logo.) Not to brag, but I say that this idea is too good to ignore. If someone improves upon this design and it gets some serious press, I've done my job already. Thoughts? Disclaimer: This work, illustrated herein, is an entirely original concept by sj10689 (the original author of this thread); any other logos/designs which have already been created prior to the posting of this comment, that bear any (striking) similarity, or is (almost) exactly the same, constitutes a circumstance which is purely coincidental. Therefore, as sj10689 is verily the creator of this work, which was not in any way inspired by, nor copied from any other pre-existing works, sj10689 assumes full ownership of this property. P.S.: I go by "Adam_Halverson" outside the forums, on sportslogos.net. I reposted this concept on the Los Angeles Clippers primary logo page.
  7. Los Angeles Clippers Rebrand, any feedback would be appreciated
  8. GhostFox

The switch to Nike gave me the idea to create my first project, make my version of NBA jerseys. Maybe it's a little bit ambitious with my studies which take me a lot of time, but i'll do the maximum. I will do Association , Icon and Alternate/Community jerseys for each team. C&C are appreciated ! TABLE OF CONTENTS - Portland Trail Blazers (Icon) - LA Clippers (Association, Icon, Alt1) PORTLAND TRAIL BLAZERS - ICON
  9. While recently brainstorming on how to improve the Clips horrendous rebrand, i came up with this idea for a simple clipper ship logo with LAC worked into the sails. C&C appreciated!
