  1. Hi all, With Nike taking over the MLB uniform rights, I decided to do what they did with the NFL and give each MLB team a color rush alternate to wear. I limited the colors on the uniform to one primary color, one secondary color, and one accent color (if needed). I also tried to keep the primary color of the uniform as different as possible across each team to give the series more diversity in the end. I'll also be listing what's new (if anything). So, I'm starting with all of the AL East teams: Baltimore Orioles: What's new? 1) City name replaces team name 2) Black pant with matching orange stripe to sleeve Boston Red Sox: What's New? 1) White lettering and numbering on uniform 2) Red hat 3) Red pant New York Yankees: What's New? 1) Refreshed road uniform with white outlines removed 2) Gray hat with blue brim returns (worn for one series in 2012 vs Boston) Tampa Bay Rays: What's New? 1) Teal cap with monochromatic navy logo and navy brim 2) Refreshed teal alternate with white removed and old Ray added to sleeve 3) Numbers receive same treatment as chest word-mark 4) Teal pant Toronto Blue Jays: What's New? 1) Logo simplified to just royal blue and white 2) White cap CC is welcome AL Central up next!
  2. Any and all predictions/feedback welcome. I have heard where the Titans are planning a slight rebrand. What are some other trends we can expect in the fall? Will #ColorRush still be a part of most Thursday night games? What changes introduced in 2017 will carry over (eg--the Saints wearing black jerseys all the time at home, the Chargers wearing navy pants at home and white on the road)? Will the Cowboys wear their often-jinxed blue jerseys more than once at home? I'm looking forward to everyone's input.
  3. Our long national nightmare is over. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2769835-thursday-night-football-color-rush-alternate-uniforms-reportedly-going-away Say goodbye to Color Rush uniforms on Thursday nights this coming fall. Bill Wanger of Fox Sports said Tuesday the NFL plans to scrap the alternate uniforms it used during Thursday Night Football telecasts beginning with the 2018 season, per Jason Barrett of Barrett Sports Media. However, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reported the Color Rush uniforms won't be going away completely. They just "might not be exclusive to Thursday nights anymore," sources told him. This shouldn't come as a huge surprise to anyone. In December, the NFL said it was allowing teams to have "more flexibility" with their Thursday night uniforms, per Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, which effectively ended the Color Rush push. The polarizing Color Rush uniforms began rolling out in 2015. Some fans delighted in the alternate offerings, while others were put off by the bright colors. In one notable mishap, a Color Rush game between the New York Jets and Buffalo Bills proved to be a mess for those with red-green colorblindness. That should no longer be an issue now that Fox is taking over Thursday games.
  4. What up folks it's been a long time since I last posted something in the Concepts' forum. What l got here to show ya is my take for TNF. We all know that the whole "color rush" program has been criticized for long and that some teams are tryna sneak out of it ( see : my Fins wearing all white vs the all purple Ravens even if orange and purple don't clash ; or the redskins wearing all burgundy instead of their all-yellow CR look) , but i think that this is a great idea to switch things up a lil bit , if done correctly. Personally , i hate the fact that in 2016 only 2 outta 14 (and in 2017 4 outta 13 ) "supposed" CR games were actually color vs color matchups. So, i think back in December 2016, i started creating my own list of CR unis , to create more color vs color games and to make even the color vs white games more interesting from a jerseys' point of view. HERE ARE THE RULES: 1) each team gets a "color" uni and a "whiteout" uni 2) i know it sucks , but i kept the one-helmet rule. Team can switch decals tho if they want to 3) helmet logos sometimes are modified to create a different look from the "normal" one . Some helmets will have logos that look something like this , you know , just to mix things up 4) The home team always wears the colored uniforms. If the opponent's color clashes, then the opponent is allowed to use its special "whiteout" CR uni 5) Home team has to paint the field in full CR style (you'll see) Without further ado , let's roll. I'm going to post by division , 2 teams at a time . (note that since I've done these in the last year/year and a half, some players may have changed team, i already tell ya that i didn't wanna fix those unis so i didn't) Starting with AFC WEST LOS ANGELES CHARGERS As much as i love their current CR uniforms, i think yellow suits more the CR overall idea, so i went with that. The colored uni gets a yellow facemask, while the whiteout gets a white one and a number on the side of the helmet . The whiteout has all the yellow removed from the uniform except for the logo on the helmet. The field follows the yellow style of the colored uniforms (as all the fields do) , even the center-field logo gets the yellow facemask LAS VEGAS RAIDERS They gon move in 2020 if not even in 2019 so i already used the LV name. Color uni is a blackout , and this is the first Oregonesque helmet logo that y'all get to see. The whiteout is basically their current CR uniform (which is a fauxback) but gets a throwback logo on the helmet What y'all think ? Am i off to a good start ? KC and DEN up next after some C&C
  5. Hi all, I got bored one-day and decided to use Nike's teambuilder website to re-design some NFL uniforms Up first: The Carolina Panthers I like Carolina's design right now. Simple and clean. I wanted to keep that going and add a little to it. The home jerseys stay black with white numbers and a light blue outline. However I added the Panthers across front in light blue and put some light blue sleeves on it. Also a light blue/white stripe across the middle. The away jersey follows the same design as the home jersey with a some color swaps to fit the jersey. The alt light-blue jersey also works as the color rush jersey. Let me know what you guys think! Next up will be the Arizona Cardinals
