I dont know where to start to be honest so I will keep it short. First of I must tell you that my concepts would not be possible without @Hoopladawg87! He has given me much thought and guidance throughout the creative processes which resulted into this. I can't thank you enough, Hoopla! One thing you guys will probably notice that my template is basically a cheap copy of his, which it really is, and imitation is the sincerest form of flattery after all! So with my limited skills and an eye to detail severely lacking, I tried to make my template like his with the hopes that it would give the concepts a heightened sense of realism. As this is my first post on this great forum it felt only natural to present my favourite team, arguably the greatest franschise in the NBA - the Boston Celtics. The Boston Celtics home and away uniforms, now named association and icon, are timeless. Clean, classic and one of the most recognizable in sports. Ever since I saw the St. Patricks uniform I could never shake the feeling that gold is such a beautiful complementary colour to the kelly green and white. I made several renditions but I felt the gold trim was too much, too invasive and bordering on sacrilege. The route, or solution, was to change the Nike logo and players name on the back to gold. A minor change, almost unrecognizable but I feel it is in tune with Nike's minimalistic direction. All comments and criticisms are greatly appreciated! 2. With all the things happening, I've designed and/or tweaked some NFL Uniforms using my own template. Not all teams will get the treatment nor will they get descriptions however so feel free to look around and if theres any questions and if i'm available, i'll answer. Enjoy!
  3. Under Armour just told UCLA they want to end their deal. How would the bruins look in Nike digs? Nothing ground breaking here... New Colors inline with the rest of UCLA's teams New Helmet striping Updated gold helmet that takes on the new color and satin finish The current helmets are a disgusting shade Truncated Nike style UCLA Stripe Maybe not a popular opinion, but I think the bold truncated stripes look much better than what they wear today
  4. This is the latest iteration of a project that I've been working on for quite some time. I've never completely finished it, for one reason or another. Anyway, this is my vision of what the league could look like if it was Nike that had the exclusive contract with the league rather than Reebok followed by Adidas. The jersey template is based on pre-2014 Nike designs, so no flywire collars. Those look stupid. Following the real-life example of Nike and the NBA, every team will have four jerseys. However, they won't follow the same pattern as the NBA, i.e., teams can wear whichever jerseys they want whenever they want. The Nike NHL teams have one dark home jersey, one light road jersey, one dark alternate jersey and one light alternate jersey. Teams still wear dark colors at home and light colors on the road. Anyway, on with the show. 5. As a fan of St Louis sports and the aesthetics of soccer crests, I’m very interested in the new St Louis MLS team. I have no idea what they will actually do, but the announcement that they would be releasing the logo/name/colors in a couple weeks got the creative wheels turning. St. Louis is a cool city with a ton of imagery and history to draw from. I chose to use the Arch for the overall shape of the crest, with the Apotheosis statue in Forest Park, which depicts King Louis IX, the city’s namesake, as the primary imagery within the crest. I also include the striping pattern from the city flag as a reference to the Missouri and Mississippi Rivers. I struggled to settle on a color scheme. I think red/blue/gold is a no-brainer, but two MLS clubs already use those colors. Besides that, Burgundy/Gold was my next choice but I’m not 100% sold on that either. I rendered the logo in 6 color schemes and any feedback on the and/or crest would be appreciated. Thanks for your time. Whoops, the year got messed up in the brown/orange logo. I’ll update that ASAP.
  6. The news of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers updating their absolutely terrible uniforms has gotten my creative juices flowing to create something new for the 2020 season. The Bucs have had two great color schemes in their history. Both the creamsicle/red and the pewter/red/orange color schemes were truly inspired and the original Jolly Roger logo is damn near perfect. There is a rich visual history to draw inspiration from for a new uniform and logo package. With the relative futility of the franchise for the last 20 years in the pewter and red, I thought it was time to move on to a third era of color for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The new color scheme features their trademark pewter, but the color has been tweaked to be less brown and more gray. It is paired with the current shade of creamsicle orange and a color I’m calling Bone White, an ever so slightly creamy white (I know @BucsBoy02 has a great concept here too that uses cream, but I swear the idea came up independently, not trying to piggyback on his ideas). The new logo takes a lot of inspiration from the skull and crossed-swords of the original Jolly Roger flag. I made some tweaks of my own to freshen it up a bit, but that logo is great, IMO and it doesn’t need a ton of work. The biggest change I made was removing the flag all together. I think the Skull and Crossed-Bones is great on its own as a primary logo. I also designed a custom word mark and numeral font with some design cues taken from a classic pirate cutlass. The uniforms are pretty straightforward. Orange and white never touch and the pants and sleeves feature a striping motif based on the swords from the logo. I wanted to keep the uniforms simple to let the bold colors speak for themselves without being interrupted by intricate striping patterns. It is difficult to communicate in a flat presentations such as this, but the helmet is intended to have a high gloss metallic finish. I also included both grey and orange socks to avoid the dreaded yoga pants situation where the pants match the top of the socks. Thanks for taking the time to have a logo and I’m looking forward to any and all feedback on the logo, colors and uniforms.
  7. Still learning illustrator so admittedly the logo is something of a work in progress. Also attached are Home, Away, and Alternate uniform sets respectively. Any thoughts are appreciated! http:// http:// http:// http://
  8. In 2022, MLS expands to a 30-team league. And in my alternate reality, signs Nike as a league-wide sponsor! The league has so much design potential, and also has many clubs that need facelifts. In this series, I give the league an overhaul. Every team gets 3 inspired, non-templated jerseys. I have also designed 4 from-scratch logos and made edits to a few others. I also have a thorough plan for the logistics of a 30-team soccer league. Schedules. A playoff structure. But first, a league this size needs to group teams somehow. Because it allows for a (not balanced, but) formulaic schedule, I follow the lead of the other American sports and implement divisions. Divisions Here’s a map of the chosen divisions, where each division consists of 5 teams. I also took the liberty of selecting Phoenix as the destination for the 30th team instead of Charlotte. Sorry Charlotte. Implementing divisions with the scheduling structure I’m about to outline keeps local rivalries stoked and creates competition for division championships within the main competition. Scheduling a 30-team soccer league is tricky. A double round robin as is done in the big European soccer leagues would mean 58 games (way too much) and a single round robin would mean 29 games (not quite enough, MLS uses 34 and that’s probably specified in the union contract). Here’s how I create a formulaic 34-game schedule: Each team plays every non-divisional team once (25 games) Each team play every divisional team twice (8 games) Each team plays an additional game against a rival (1 game) … here’s the listing: (POR & SEA, VAN & PHX*, RSL & COL, LAFC & LAG, SAC & SJ, HOU & FCD, AUS & NAS*, STL & SKC, MIN & CHI, CLB & CIN, PHI & NE*, NYCFC & NYRB, TOR & MON, DC & ATL, ORL & MIA) *not really a rival and would be a second match against this team instead of a third It’s also necessary to balance travel. I do this by using north/south corridors. For example, LAFC will play 10 games against the Northeast and Southeast divisions. 5 of those games will be at home and 5 will be on the road. Same for games against the North and South divisions. Then every year, each team plays the same set of teams, with the home/road designations flipping from year to year. Playoffs MLS currently uses a single-game knockout playoff, which is odd considering MLS Cup is agreed upon as the most important trophy. I would change that in a way that helps better-performing teams reach MLS Cup. I also dial back the number of playoff teams to 12, with division winners qualifying automatically. The playoffs will have 3 stages: a group stage, a two-legged semifinal stage, and MLS Cup. Here’s how it works. 12 teams are placed into four 3-team groups based on overall points, with seeds grouped together as (1,8,9),(2,7,10),(3,6,11), and (4,5,12) … each team gets two games and the higher-seeded team always hosts … only one team in the group advances The lower seeded teams play first (8,9), (7,10), (6,11), (5,12) … then the lowest seeded team plays the top-seeded team in the second match of the group stage unless the lowest seed won the first match … then the top seeded team plays the remaining team in the final match (this setup makes the final group-stage match a group-decider in almost all scenarios) After the group stage, four teams remain … the lowest seed remaining is matched up with the highest seed remaining … two legs in the semifinal MLS Cup is hosted by the highest seed remaining I simulated a hypothetical playoff based on the 2019 league table to show how it might look: I will go division-by-division, starting with the North Division. Before I started working on this, I had never designed a logo myself and I had only designed maybe a single uniform. So with that in mind, I want to thank you for any comments and help as we go along.
  9. Hello everyone! Due to this quarantine, I have decided to start back up a Baseball Concept Uniform Tread! Each team will have at least one home alternate and road alternate uniform, and one spring training uniform. C&C is always appreciated, so please give your feedback! I will start with the American League then move to the National League. I hope you enjoy! BALTIMORE ORIOLES: The Orioles have some of the nicest uniforms in the league, in my opinion. The black and orange work really well together. I wanted to make the Orioles a primary orange team(which is what they should always be), so I added a orange hat to the road uniform, road alternate uniform 1, and the Spring Training uniform. I added another black uniform using the "O's" logo, maybe a jersey they wear on special occasions on the road. HOME: ROAD: HOME ALT: ROAD ALT 1: ROAD ALT 2: SPRING TRAINING:
  10. Going off of my MLB uniform concepts (which can be seen at this link https://boards.sportslogos.net/topic/121809-mlb-uniform-tweaks-andor-designs/#comments), I decided to do something a bit different, and create concepts for old MLB teams that have since moved away, using the Wikipedia template. I'm only doing MLB teams that have moved since the first World Series was played in 1903, and furthermore, I am only doing the team's original city (so no Milwaukee Braves or Kansas City Athletics). There are a total of eight teams that meet this criteria, and they are the Boston Braves, Brooklyn Dodgers, Montréal Expos, New York Giants, Philadelphia Athletics, Seattle Pilots, St. Louis Browns, and the Washington Senators (both incarnations of the franchise are merged into one concept). These concepts will be uploaded alphabetically, starting with the city name. Please, just give me your thoughts on them. Thank you!
  11. First draft of a logo for the fictitious Albuquerque Mountaineers, along with a typeface for them. The Mountaineers are a baseball team. I had the idea to put baseball stitching in the background on each side of the mountain, but decided against it, at least for now. I plan on taking this further, with more logos and uniforms eventually. Thoughts? http://
  12. Since Nike is going to be the new jersey supplier for the NBA I made some concepts to show my take on the new jerseys. I used the USA olympic jersey featuring a nike vapor jersey and made my own mockup on it, to get the realistic stitching details on the numbers and logo I used a photoshop action called realistic stitching action to make it look realistic as possible. I hope you guys enjoy! Half way done the other half of the NBA will be uploaded as soon as possible. Feedback would be helpful!!
  13. After delivering the nuke on the previous concepts, I took a break from doing art as it were but then the stuff I had wasn't up to scratch so using the modified templates from @edjb93 to which he got from the original templates of @LEWJ... I present my own personal takes on the NFL, unknown at the moment if I'm going with the expansion teams I did last time. Presenting the Home kit with two alternate pants, the Road kit with two alternate pants with the Alternative kit, the Throwback kit and borrowing the NBA's City Jerseys to create a special one game only Big City Set. THIS IS WHAT THREAD CONTAINS AS TO WHY IT EXISTS: The NFL had a strike season of 2021 because the NFLPA and the league couldn't come up with an agreement thus the Super Bowl wasn't played... everyone lost money and the scapegoat was Goddell, he was immediately fired after the confirmation of a strikeout season. The New England Patriots no longer had the immunity that they had from Goddell's biasness and were immediately found guilty via an independent commission of benefiting via a corrupt commissioner... the new owners banned the team from post-season for 10-15 years, forfeitures of first round draft picks and stripped them of their Super Bowls won in the Goddell era thus giving Seattle, Atlanta and the LA Rams the wins. Adidas and Under Armor challenged the exclusivity deal of NFL's deal with Nike and it went to the highest court in the land which ruled that it was an unfair competitive advantage and forced Nike to drop teams in order to not being fined in the billions... they kept some teams in return like the Rams and the Cowboys. Big City is what it's called and it's essentially done by the designers, kind of like what the NBA does.... and there are some bad, BAD ones. 14. I have started a new NHL redesign that I have been posting on Reddit so far on r/hockeyjerseys but figured I would share here too. I have done 4 teams so far, which I will post here right away, and will be working through the other 28 at whatever pace I can get through them at. Open to feedback, but please be aware that I am not necessarily trying to make what I think the team should wear, or will wear, just being creative and killing time. Enjoy!!
  15. I finally decided to post my Minnesota Vikings concept that I made in January. The concept is based on the idea that there is a home/away set, color rush, and a throwback alternate. I based the main set on the vikings current uniforms while also implementing the concept drawings by Hubenthal. I used the current Vikings font but without the serifs, added a white facemask, and tweaked the horn logo slightly. For the color rush uniform I decided to base it on the all white uniforms the vikings wore from 1969-1995 with the UCLA stripes. I based the alternate/throwback on the 1965 uniform set, where the numbers are outlined and the stocks dont have stripes.
  16. Hi. I'm here to fix the NFL's uniforms. Nike has taken over and left us with some bad designs, and theres a few nagging things out there that have just held on, simply because people never bothered to fix them. I'm here to tweak (Maybe overhaul) the NFL's uniforms. Rules I gave myself for this: - One helmet shell, but facemasks and decals can change - Not changing any logos or colors, just uniforms - Color Rush is not mandatory, some teams will have them, some teams won't. - Ignoring the 3 year helmet, 5 year jersey change rule - Not really going in any order, might not even do all 32 - Colors were taken from the logos themselves or from teamcolorcodes.com (yes the colts are still royal blue I just used their digital color) - Yes they were done in Paint so they're not the *cleanest* but I did my best. - Assume mixing and matching is allowed, I won't show *all* combinations but can show one if requested - Moving Nike patch to chest across all teams I'll start off with 2, since my first (Colts) is very simple. Biggest changes are White Mask, number font, and stripe consistency. Next up, the LA Chargers. It's obvious they're getting new uniforms. Went bold on the Whites, Navy is the Color Rush alternate. Kept the Agency-esque font Any comments and criticism is welcomed!
  17. So I whipped up a quick and dirty fix for the Rams LA logo. I don’t actually dislike the overall concept of the logo, but I think the execution of the idea is terrible. The problems: -Gradients-yuck, have fun reproducing that for embroidery and screen printing -Shadows-early 2000s web design wants their crutch back and it *the first two problems also create the problem of having waaay too many colors. -Doesn’t look good on multiple backgrounds/requires too many color and outline changes -The segmentation of the horn creates a crescent moon shape that I can’t unsee now that it’s been pointed out to me. The solution: first off, I ditched the gradients, getting the logo down to two/three colors depending on the application I also got made the horn one continuous piece. Also, because I ditched the gradients, the logo is all one color with a shadow on the horn to give it some depth. Honestly, I could take it leave the shading on the horn, but it might be a little flat without it. Anyway, this was like a 10 minute fix, but I think it makes the logo fit in much more with its contemporaries in the NFL and professional sports as a whole.
  18. As a native Minnesotan, I usually get a little disappointed or dismayed by the Twins concepts I see on the forum. Their identity always seems like a bit of an afterthought, often subject to a recolor so as to differentiate the Twins from a myriad of RWB teams in the league. Instead of taking this approach, I wanted to work (for the most part) with the existing color scheme whilst drawing from the team's history. With that in mind, I reintroduced light blue into the color scheme. While light blue was restricted to their road uniforms in an era when several teams were using it for their road uniforms, this historical precedence combined with the fact the state's name literally means "sky-tinted water" makes it a suitable vehicle for setting them apart from teams with similar colorways. This addition of light blue spells the end for Kasota gold. I didn't necessarily hate its addition a few years ago, but its application was unsuccessful and does not fit with the light blue. One of the more popular changes for posters is to correct the inconsistencies between the team's wordmarks. I decided to follow suit, but took a decidedly different approach. The result applies the Minnesota Wild script to the Twins, using a Tuscan-esque font that takes cues from the area's history as a railroad and flour milling hub. The TC logo follows suit, and I put an M back on the away cap. Here, it calls back to the successful minor league Minneapolis Millers. Lastly, Minnie and Paul are updated with the new colors and wordmark as well as altering the state outline to be more geographically accurate. It is promoted to the primary, replacing the squad's generic baseball roundel. Got all that? Good. Now look at it. Let me know what you think. I also have a decidedly modern take on the Twins that I will post sometime in the coming week. Take care.
  19. I rebranded the Colorado Rockies due to their current boring, branding. - Updated the color scheme to more vibrant purple. - New primary logo with mountain and Colorado "c." - Used the Denver Nuggets miner logo to create a secondary mascot logo for the Rockies. I slightly edited it and updated its aesthetic. - New wordmark using a script font. - All new jerseys.
  20. Hi all, With the conclusion of the 2019 NFL season, I thought now would be a cool time to do a fixer-upper series, fixing all 32 NFL brands and uniform sets, from small changes to complete re-brandings. I will be explaining each change I make for each set. No set will be left untouched, even the classics. I will be doing this series in reverse standings order because I feel like it. Without further ado, lets get the series started off with the Super Bowl Champs... Kansas City Chiefs: The biggest change comes in the logo, in which I removed the out-of-place black that has no place in the team's uniform set and replaced it with the team's much more poppy yellow. While I left the amazing and classic uniform mostly untouched (outside of the obvious logo change in the helmet), I did make a minor alteration that makes the uniform cleaner. Instead of the rather obtrusive Lamar Hunt/AFL patch that has been on the front of the Chiefs uniforms for about a decade now, I had the team move Mr. Hunt to the left sleeve, following the suit of the Bears, Lions, and (formerly) the Browns. I wanted the team to honor the owner, but in a more unobtrusive way, thus I feel the sleeve logo (shown) is a better way to clean up the uniform and keep Mr. Hunt's name on the uniform. San Francisco 49ers: The biggest change to the Niners set was the removal of black from the logo, which I felt was black for black's sake and, like the chiefs, is not featured on the uniforms. I feel it simplifies the primary. Additionally, I brought back an altered version of the team's old Art Deco-inspired shield secondary logo, with fixes to the spacing and the replacement of the football in the top right corner with the team's 5 rings. Uniform-wise, outside of the logo change on the helmet, I decided to throw part of the uniform back to the 90s with a gold drop shadow behind the numbers to further add gold to the iconic uniform without soiling it. Tennessee Titans: This is a set where I did not change much to the logos themselves, but the uniforms received drastic changes. The Titans' current set is one of the most disliked in the league, mostly due to its corniness and over-complexity. Thus, the first step in my uniform change was removing the atrocious "sword" shoulder design, keeping it color consistent instead. Next, I re-added the cool secondary logo to the sleeves after they were removed in 2018. The next step was to fix the numbers. I liked the idea, but the numbers looked far too awkward. Thus, I noticeably altered and strengthened the numbers to stand out more prominently and not look starved to death. Furthermore, I reintegrated red into the uniform by making it a secondary outline to the numbers on each uniform, fitting in with the designs of the two logos. Finally, the helmet remains navy, as I felt it fit the set best, but the face-mask is now the Titans/Oilers powder blue, while the stripe is a blend of the design of the modern stripe on the first Titans helmet and the old traditional stripe on the Oilers helmet. Green Bay Packers: This classic identity receives very minimal changes from me. However, I did brighten up the green for the Pack, making the uniforms and logo pop a bit more. Additionally, I added a white border around the logo on the helmet to better match the style of the primary logo and altered the color of the face-mask and added a stripe on the third uniform (helmet rules aside). The only major change was the addition of a new secondary logo, which is a refreshed and updated version of the team's original logo. CC is obviously welcome. Next up will be the Ravens, Texans, Seahawks, and Vikings!
  21. Intro. The year is 2004, and three Southern Ontario record labels hosting 6 local bands have combined to form a soccer league. Mantis Productions in Toronto, Mojo Records in Barrie and Tuesday Morning Records in Ottawa have all joined forces to create the Tuesday Morning Premier League. Concept. I'll be designing logos for each team and jersey (home, away and clash as well as goalkeepers kits for all 6 teams.) Sponsors will be either local or fictional brands tied into each band name, with backstory on each. Map. Teams. All of these teams are based on bands I either previously played in or have friends who played in. I've cleared the names with all band members. 22. For the 2020 MLB season, I decided to create some Nike MLB jersey concepts for Players' Weekend using the new Nike Baseball Jersey template. I wanted to create something unique with these jerseys. I used a lot of alternate colors and alternate logos on the jerseys, and made fauxbacks for some teams as well. If you are wondering why the Mets are black and pink, it is because when they were formed they were supposed to be black and pink. I'm not entirely happy with the Rockies, Rays, and Astros. For the Rockies I didn't really have any ideas for, while the Astros and Rays jerseys didn't come out as well as I thought they would. Thanks for viewing.
  23. I decided to do a Nike MLB Uniform Refresh, some teams will get total rebrands, some will have altered colors, some will have new alternates, or get new throwbacks. Visit my Behance to see my other sports designs: https://www.behance.net/ianrasovsky For the diamondbacks, I updated the home and away uniforms by replacing the sand accents with teal, solidifying teal as their new tertiary color. I also added their purple alternate from 1998 on the new Nike MLB teamplate. I also created a new home cap, that replaced the sand in the diamonbacks's "A" logo.
  24. Hello people, it's good to be back on this forum after couple of years. Recently I designed a logo for my hometown team who is competing in top tier of the Serbian basketball league. Since everything on the logo is in my language, I will explain you everything you need to know. The small letters means basketball club which is common thing to be written in most of our logos (we don't have team nicknames written in the logo). The main word TAMIŠ is the name of the river that goes through my hometown and as you can guess, the team name. Therefore, below the name is the basketball flowing on waves sort of. I have designed this 1 month ago and still can't figure out if I like it or not. I would appreciate every feedback, opinion, critics and comments. Please don't be discouraged to comment even if the logo is not from usual leagues
  25. The Minor Leagues of professional baseball are known for wacky and weird team names. This thesis study aims to explore the development process of creating such teams. The idea is to develop a series of logos from community created minor league baseball teams. These team names are developed by using a series of requirements like location followed by a mascot which can come from the name of animals, profession, nature, local landmarks, people, food, pronouns, or things in your garage. This servery will help you develop your own team. Only 6 teams will be selected so make it interesting. Bonus Points for team names that relate to the location (ex.
