  1. After delivering the nuke on the previous concepts, I took a break from doing art as it were but then the stuff I had wasn't up to scratch so using the modified templates from @edjb93 to which he got from the original templates of @LEWJ... I present my own personal takes on the NFL, unknown at the moment if I'm going with the expansion teams I did last time. Presenting the Home kit with two alternate pants, the Road kit with two alternate pants with the Alternative kit, the Throwback kit and borrowing the NBA's City Jerseys to create a special one game only Big City Set. THIS IS WHAT THREAD CONTAINS AS TO WHY IT EXISTS: The NFL had a strike season of 2021 because the NFLPA and the league couldn't come up with an agreement thus the Super Bowl wasn't played... everyone lost money and the scapegoat was Goddell, he was immediately fired after the confirmation of a strikeout season. The New England Patriots no longer had the immunity that they had from Goddell's biasness and were immediately found guilty via an independent commission of benefiting via a corrupt commissioner... the new owners banned the team from post-season for 10-15 years, forfeitures of first round draft picks and stripped them of their Super Bowls won in the Goddell era thus giving Seattle, Atlanta and the LA Rams the wins. Adidas and Under Armor challenged the exclusivity deal of NFL's deal with Nike and it went to the highest court in the land which ruled that it was an unfair competitive advantage and forced Nike to drop teams in order to not being fined in the billions... they kept some teams in return like the Rams and the Cowboys. Big City is what it's called and it's essentially done by the designers, kind of like what the NBA does.... and there are some bad, BAD ones. 2. I know there has been numerous attempts by teams to move to Hamilton, Ontario with none managing to succeed. What I am looking for is Inspiration for an NHL Team logo or a Concept logo to start with for an NHL Team in Hamilton. I am open to any suggestions. Plus, I am new to the forums on this website.
  3. Recently it was announced that the Arena Football League will be expanding to Washington DC for the 2017 season and I thought it could be fun to get some ideas flowing on what this team could eventually be called and what potential logos could look like. The team owners are the same group that own the Wizards, Mystics, and Capitals so that might be something to keep in mind about them. The two names I've heard/thought of that I like the best for the team are the Washington Maul, which I read in a Washington newspaper article online, and one I thought of that seems perfect for Arena Football; the Washington Insiders. While I really like both names I had some issues thinking of good logos, but I thought I'd share what I thought of and see if anyone has any ideas for improvements. Feel free to share your ideas on these or post your own names/logos! This was my first thought for the Washington Maul; it's based off a commemorative Centennial Ax that was made in honor of George Washington's election as President (he's known chopping down a cherry tree as a kid). The axe-head shape is based off a pentagon, and the obelisk in the oval is in honor of the Washington Monument in the National Mall at Washington. Here's my first thought for the Insiders. I've found that many 'insider' logos usually have 'In' inside of some sort of box or thought cloud or something so I decided to go along those same lines for this. I chose a pentagon as the outer shape in reference to Washington's Pentagon. It creates a cleaner, more simplistic logo that I think would actually stand out pretty well among other AFL logos.
  4. Hey guys. I'm taking a graphic design class where we have to come up with a concept and I chose to create an NBA basketball team. I chose to locate them in Pittsburgh and came up with the name The Hammers (playing off the whole "Steel City" identity). Anyways, I wanted to get some constructive criticism by other sports-loving designers on my ideas. Below are a couple ideas for logos I've made. Please feel free to critique the work and also let me know if any of these work well enough to move forward with and why/why not. Here they are: Thanks again guys for your time!
