  1. Forgive what is a double post, but the General Design forum doesn’t seem to be running rampant with active users. These are at least concepts for a real-life soccer league, so I’m hoping this is considered a legit post. Anyway, I'm in the throes of creating an adult rec soccer league in my area--the Rocky Mountains. I'm calling it Apex Rec Soccer League, drawing on both the noun and the verb form of the word "apex." I've narrowed down about 20 ideas to these two, both of which are shown in color and B&W. I have my thoughts on which is better and why I designed the way I did; typesetting will be completed when I finalize the logo itself. I'll hold off on my own thoughts until there is initial feedback. Thanks in advance for any ideas/praise/critiques.
  2. Hiya, folks. I’m just throwing this up here to get some feedback. I’m really trying to work on my animal rendering for logo purposes, but I also know there’s a lot to improve upon. For instance, these almost look too realistic (especially #3). Anyway, here’s what I was working on for the Wilmington Wonders in my Stateside Soccer Federation (shameless plug!). They are three variations on a fox. Any ideas, tips, pointers, critiques (especially critiques) would be greatly appreciated. Please note, I took Davidson’s skillshare class, so you will definitely see some similarities in snout area and how I continued through the process, not to mention the final pieces. Thanks in advance! Larger final versions And PS - Thanks to rsaline and sleuthpanther for their previous critiques on the usage of the fox.
  3. Greetings everyone, This is my first post, so I apologize if I don't have all the bases covered. This is a concept for an NHL expansion/relocation to Seattle. I chose the name Lumberjacks for two reasons: 1) to pay tribute to the region's first major industry (logging) and 2) I wanted to stay away from the Metropolitans/Metros name, as I've already seen some great concepts for that nickname and wanted to try something different. I would love to add an alternate jersey to the mix at some point. Let me know what you think! 4. Hey Guys. So this NBA season I decided to start a blog that focused on daily recaps of each night's action. After toying around with doing standard text-driven posts, I decided to go with a more graphical style. Here is an example of my daily recap infographic: A few concerns I have: Is the standings section too cluttered? Can you make out which stat lines are associated with which players in the Stars/Squares section? Here is an example of a weekly feature containing statistical leaders from the previous week: And here is an example of a weekly feature of team "power rankings": Otherwise, I would love to hear what you guys think. As a long-time member of this board, I'd be lying if I said that the creativity and attention to detail of the CCSL community weren't an inspiration with this new, more visual approach. So with that being said - What am I missing? What's working? What sucks? Etc. Thank you all. Leon
