  1. After delivering the nuke on the previous concepts, I took a break from doing art as it were but then the stuff I had wasn't up to scratch so using the modified templates from @edjb93 to which he got from the original templates of @LEWJ... I present my own personal takes on the NFL, unknown at the moment if I'm going with the expansion teams I did last time. Presenting the Home kit with two alternate pants, the Road kit with two alternate pants with the Alternative kit, the Throwback kit and borrowing the NBA's City Jerseys to create a special one game only Big City Set. THIS IS WHAT THREAD CONTAINS AS TO WHY IT EXISTS: The NFL had a strike season of 2021 because the NFLPA and the league couldn't come up with an agreement thus the Super Bowl wasn't played... everyone lost money and the scapegoat was Goddell, he was immediately fired after the confirmation of a strikeout season. The New England Patriots no longer had the immunity that they had from Goddell's biasness and were immediately found guilty via an independent commission of benefiting via a corrupt commissioner... the new owners banned the team from post-season for 10-15 years, forfeitures of first round draft picks and stripped them of their Super Bowls won in the Goddell era thus giving Seattle, Atlanta and the LA Rams the wins. Adidas and Under Armor challenged the exclusivity deal of NFL's deal with Nike and it went to the highest court in the land which ruled that it was an unfair competitive advantage and forced Nike to drop teams in order to not being fined in the billions... they kept some teams in return like the Rams and the Cowboys. Big City is what it's called and it's essentially done by the designers, kind of like what the NBA does.... and there are some bad, BAD ones. 2. Hey all! Decided to do a fun jersey series during this NBA offseason. These fun alternate jerseys I will be making will all reflect the team name and team name only, as you will see, quite literally. I will be moving down in order of division in each conference and in order of city name in each division. I will kick this series off with these three teams: Boston Celtics: The same look as the Celtics' mascot Brooklyn Nets: Quite literally the weaving of a basketball net. New York Knicks: Since many of you may not know what a Knick is, its short for Knickerbocker, which is an older term for a New Yorker. Thus, the retro vest and tie top and brown pants. More will be coming soon if y'all like this series idea! Template credit to therealpepman
  3. Hello guys, welcome to the SCAA! If all goes well, this ambitious project should be interesting and fun for the whole community. I do not believe something like this has been done before on the boards, the closest comparison would probably be the soccer club cup project floating around here a while ago. Without further ado, let's get into the general idea and some rules! General Idea The general idea of this project is to create an NCAA-like system here on the boards. Each member creates a fictional university, and creates logos and uniforms for different sports for that university. This would not be something you have to apply to, just post your way in. As more people add schools, conferences will be created, expanded, and more will be created. With this, conference logos, bowls and whatever else comes around will be created as well. This will hopefully create a tradition and history of it's own. Traditional sports like Football, Basketball, Baseball, Hockey, and Soccer could be included. However the amount of content for each university is up to the creator. Want to show off your college's womens lacrosse uniforms? Go right ahead! THIS IS NOT A FANTASY LEAGUE There are college fantasy leagues here already, this is not meant to replace them. With this idea I don't mean to tread on the toes of fantasy leagues here or the members that diligently compete in them. This is purely for design, for those folks who just want to help create something like another world, and add there own little piece. A note for people who might be in these fantasy leagues, keep those teams in fantasy leagues. Don't mix them into this mess. So, how do we start something like this? Initially, people would just post concepts of style guides/logos, NO UNIFORMS YET. This to keep clutter down, and we don't even know what sports we would be covering. Once enough people contributed, conferences could be discussed. This would be continued until concrete decisions are made. Conferences would then be created officially. Concepts would be continually posted, and talks of expansion would open up. A time limit would be set to enter teams into "consideration" (EVERYONE CAN JOIN, NO ONE WILL BE LEFT OUT. CONSIDERATION MEANS WHICH CONFERENCE YOUR TEAM WOULD END UP IN). Once this time limit is up, conference alignment would be set up, and the process would repeat. Somewhere in this process, uniform concepts would be created and other cool stuff like that. I would only ask that you KEEP POSTS CONCISE. DON'T POST FIVE TIMES WHAT YOU CAN POST IN ONE POST (that was a mouthful). Obviously something like this would involve an absurd amount of people, so posting could easily get out of hand. Post initially in this format Name of University: Nickname: Location (City, State): Colors: *Please attach logo sheets and things like that under, feel free to include other fun stuff about the college as well! A Few More Cosmetic Rules -Schools must be original. Don't try to put in "University of Michigan State" or something stupid like that. This is meant to be 100% original content. -One primary logo. It doesn't matter if the logo is as simple as a block letter, just make sure there is a clearly defined primary logo. People are of course free to have as many secondary and tertiary logos as they please. -At least one primary and one secondary color. Don't just say "My school color is red". It's gotta be at least red and white. -MAX. two universities to a single metro area (at least to begin with). There's a lot of United States out there, explore it. If there are truly too many universities, there's always room to change this rule. -Use your best judgement for potentially offensive nicknames and things. Best Judgment. Need I say more? So, what do you all think? I have a concept locked and loaded but I'd like to hear what you all think first! I think this has the potential to be something fun for the community as a whole, and potentially get newer members stirred up into the pot a little bit. Alot of different levels of expertise would be represented, and noobies and vets alike could receive helpful criticism along the way. It would be a lot of work, and I'd need the help of anyone who wants to get this going! Questions, comments, and concerns are greatly appreciated, hope to hear from all of you!
  4. So my wife works for a private art school called "The American Academy of Art.:" They are a very small school that is located in downtown Chicago across from the Art Institute. They have no athletic programs, a mascot or official colors, but their logo is actually pretty cool. Because the School's name is 3 words starting with the letter "A" they have one large triangle created by 3 smaller triangles. It is simple, and it grasps the concepts of basic artistry. I like it a lot. However, me being bored and currently out of my ADD Meds (thank you department of Veteran's Affairs), I came up with some fun concepts for a mascot, colors and logos. Granted, These were done in POWERPOINT so they are NOT good quality, so be gentle when considering that. For a team name I thought of the cheesiest thing I could (mainly because the cheese factor bothers artists and my wife's friends that I go out drinking with, so I am constantly messing with them regarding that) I figured a pun on the Argonauts with the ARTgonauts...I'll take your lack of laughter as approval for my cheese factor. The design for the mascot's shield I had some fun with. I wanted it to have a more Greek/Mediterranean/Ancient feeling similar to that of Aztec art. I would LOVE to see concepts from any of you, as your talent factor far surpasses mine. Plus, the creativity amongst the members here always seems to mystify me.
  5. This is some work I just finished for a friend in my Fantasy league. The team name is "Blue Balls of Destiny" so I had some fun with it. Admittedly, I used an outline of an old "joecartoon" I had, redrew it by hand, changed the colors, added in football gear. This is not for merchandising, just for fun, and supposed to be comical. Anybody have any ideas for the jersey and pants? I ended up going with a random pattern of various-hued blue orbs with a yellow glow around them. Would especially love help in a totally different "alternate" uniform if you've got some fun ideas!
  6. Hey Guys! Since the World Cup is on i thought we should show you our United States Soccer Crest concept. It's a more serious logo with the good old stars and stripes. Hope you like this one! C&C Welcome! (Same shape as the old crest)
  7. Hey Guys! This is a fantasy Hockey team we created called the Kansas City Knights. We will put up jerseys up later but here is the logo for now. Hope you like this one! C&C Welcome!
  8. Hey Guys! Yes, I have another hockey logo for you. Its a Viking Logo but i'm not sure what ill do with it yet. Hope you guys like it! C&C Welcome!
  9. I have been on the boards since 2005, and I've noticed, as time goes on, that I'm more in the minority every year. I've never considered myself that old fashioned until now, and I wonder if my age has anything to do with my uniform preferences. I'm curious to see if there's a correlation between age, music preference, overall demographic, and choice of uniforms. Just a little experiment. Here's my basic info, and let's see if you put yours down too, we can compare info. Age: 33 Music Preferences: Rock (Aerosmith, Metallica, Van Halen, etc.), 90s hip hop, Coldplay, Kings of Leon, Mumford and Sons, Carlos Vives (my girlfriend is Colombian so I listen to some of that music), Eminem, U2, etc. Music Dislikes: EDM (Electronic Dance Music), don't really dislike country but not a big fan either, Britney Spears, Miley Cyrus, etc. Clothing Preferences: Classic (T-shirt and jeans, polo and shorts with boat shoes, or suit if needed) Sports Uniform Preferences: Classic (Green Bay Packers, Boston Celtics, Los Angeles Dodgers, Chicago Blackhawks, Chicago Cubs, Florida Gators, Wisconsin Badgers, Seattle Mariners, Montreal Canadiens, Miami Heat, Dallas Cowboys, etc.) Sports Uniform Dislikes: Wild (Miami Marlins, Jacksonville Jaguars, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Oklahoma City Thunder, Oregon Ducks, etc.)
