Recently, while working on a different, abandoned idea, I developed the framework for a logo that I felt had some legs as an Astros concept. I've never really been a huge fan of the Astros logos in the past, and figured this had a little bit more character than the current H-Star. The explanation here will be very straightforward. The basic idea was to combine the letter A and a star into the same shape. The "gut" of the star, where the A is formed also forms the pentagon shape that represents home plate, an underused, but certainly recognizable feature of baseball. Like I said, pretty simple and straightforward. (I do realize there are some that find a logo with the mascot initial instead of the location initial sacrilege, but I really ain't one of them, so tough luck there.) Lemme know what you guys think!
Yet another MLB tweak idea instead of continuing the Premier League x Baseball crossover? Well, I'm kinda burned out of the series. I will obviously finish it, but I want to design other things meanwhile as well. It's time for the Houston Astros. I think the Astros have a really nice colour scheme, but their current identity is a bit bland. That's why I decided to bring back the "Tequila Sunrise" scheme, which is the prefered by most of the people. I have applied the Tequila Sunrise pattern to the wordmarks and logos, instead of using just orange. I have also used it changing the orange shades for blue: The uniforms feature the gradient on the cuffs, pants, socks and numbers, keeping havy as secondary colour: These are the sleeve logos: Props to @Carolingian Steamroller and @MJD7, whose great Astros designs inspired these ideas. C&C appreciated!
No poll for this because I already did one today. I would also like to see discussion. So, I made a Stars gold/harvest gold concept and while that was happening I wondered, would logos look better unbeveled? I decided to make six concepts (so, yes, mods can be able to move this to concepts if they want, even though I really don't think it's good enough material for that subforum). Link for that: https://drive.google.com/?usp=chrome_app#folders/0B0E8Fv0QIMKASEd3czN0Ym1acmc I want to know what you think, would logos look better beveled or unbeveled?
