Here we can discuss which is the best and worst changes in NFL uniforms this year. Here are my votes: Big Upgrade: Browns Buccaneers, Chargers Not necessarily an upgrade but I personally like them: Colts OK: Patriots Downgrade: Rams Big Downgrade: Falcons
So, now that I got the Miami Marlins off my chest, I figured I should tweak the other teams that have been bothering me too. Nothing bothered me as much as the Marlins, but it doesn't take much to aggravate me...sadly. The next team I wanted to put a paint brush to was San Diego. Like most, I feel they should be going back to the brown and yellow colors. I on the other hand want to put more emphasis on the brown and keep the yellow to a minimum. I have no issue with their current word scripts and uniform style, I just feel the brown and yellow would look better. So with that in mind, here is my version of the Padres. The away has a grey that has very slight orange tint to it, just to give it some warmth with the brown and yellow. Then there is the Home alternate. The big trend of having the logo over the heart/left side is not missed on the Padres. I'm currently working on a brown top alternate for the road as well as a new main logo that will combine a few era's logos with the swinging friar as the center piece. How does that look? C+C appreciated.
Hey, everyone. I've been a member for a while now but have never tried my hand at posting anything. Recently I got an idea to do a concept for an MLB expansion team in Indianapolis (unrealistic maybe, but hey, seemed like a fun idea). I decided to try and do this by hand and see how it went. So, I present, the Indianapolis Thunderbirds. The team name and home uniform is inspired by my old high school, while the colors of red and black are inspired by the city's current AAA team. Indianapolis is a pretty traditional city, and this plays a pretty big role in its sports team's identities. The home jersey is white with red piping and trim, with black letters also trimmed in red, inspired by my alma mater's old unis. The away grey is pretty plain, with black piping and red lettering. The black alternate uses white letters with red trim. Also, I was inspired by TheGiantsFan to try and design a stadium. Please excuse by art skills and keep in mind these are still pretty early and unpolished designs. Just wanted to get some feedback and see what everyone thinks.
Someone mentioned Professional Football Simulator a few days ago, and how you can upload logos and fields and such for the game, so I thought, well, whether I get the game or not, it's a great place to start for some new concepts. I want to create a team for Indianapolis with a snake being the general idea for the concept. I choose a snake for two reasons: 1) there's a snake called a racer, and 2) Indianapolis is a center for the medical industry, and the symbol for Asclepius, the Greek god of healing, is a snake. But I'm totally stuck for a name. Racers wouldn't work because it wouldn't embrace the second aspect. Serpents sounds awkward, and Snakes would be just silly. If you have any ideas, I'd greatly appreciate them. Thanks!
