  1. So for the first time in a freakin eternity, Notre Dame and Wisconsin will be facing off on the gridiron next season. For whatever reason, instead of holding either game on campus, the 2020 game will be at Lambeau....as part of ND's Shamrock Series, meaning the Irish are the "home" team. I figure nothing like this will happen uniwise, but I figured I'd take a College to Pro-style approach, so the Irish are based on the 40s Packers, as a nod to alum Curly Lambeau, while the Badgers took cues from the Lombardi Pack, though given that they don't typically utilize a third color, I used a light gold similar to the shade used in UW's academic mark...which makes the whole thing look like a 49ers reject. I might have been better off going with a white/red version of the Powerball jersey, tbh. The 2021 game, meanwhile, will be at Soldier Field...where the Badgers will be the home team. Given that a lot of people hated the navy helmets worn in the most recent Yankee Stadium game, I figured sticking with gold domes but using the baseball ND would work nicely. For the hell of it, the jersey and socks are mint green. Wisconsin's set is based on the big V and stripes from the late 20s Bears, though as I'm not sure the NCAA would've allowed for a smaller upper-chest number, the striping is in a darker cardinal, making this something more akin to the late 90s Patriots. I'm not super confident in my ability to make a helmet look like its leather counterpart, so I extended the tonal look to the helmet, using the darker cardinal as the shell color, with a little anachronism with the early 60s front and back W's. You may scream now.
  2. For the last few years I have been tinkering with the idea of redesigning the logos of my (now former) high school. I finally decided to give it a shot because the schools current identity is a mess. There is only one official logo that doesn't have seemingly thousands of variants and that is just the school crest. My goal was to create a total logo set complete with an updated crest, a leprechaun logo, a shamrock with script logo, and some alternates that can be used in other situations or for specific sports. Some major differences that will be in all of the new logos is the change from a normal blue to navy and yellow to a more athletic gold color. I did this so the schools colors would acctually match the schools sports teams, green is used as an accent color but is not a main color outside of logos. Without further ado, lets begin. Up first is my updated version of the school crest. Below is the current crest for comparison. Changes: New bold font that is easily read and is equal thickness throughout. Updated lamp and shamrock R adjusted to be more even modernized vines Equal weight of outlines througout Let me know what you think, CC is appreciated!
  3. The World Baseball Classic this year was AMAZING and totally exceeded all expectations I had for it. I was listening to an interview with Dodgers' pitcher Brandon McCarthy, and he brought up the idea of an Ireland team. Obviously, the baseball presence in the country isn't strong, but McCarthy said they could probably put together a solid squad by using American born Irish players. This got me thinking about the possibility of Ireland in the WBC. I looked up Ireland baseball and saw that while they do have a team, their logos and uniforms are pretty ugly. So I hit the drawing board and whipped up this
  4. Ok, so here's a little background, I go to a high school in Rosemount Minnesota and were called the Irish due to the city being founded by Irish immigrants. Anyway, our school has had the same logo, with different fonts and shaped shamrocks, it's a very simple logo and I feel like the inconsistency in shape and font make it hard to have a solid identity. The school barely uses the logo as they usually use a generic script 'Irish' or 'Rosemount' My goal was to create a logo that can be used for all the schools athletics and be a modern unique Irish logo instead of a Notre Dame rip off. Here's our current logo: Here's my new logos: The Head logo is my more modern version of the old hockey logo from a long time ago, and the full body logo is a leprechaun in the style of Johnny Canuck that I plan on converting into different sports used by the school. Let me know what you guys think!
  5. Hey Folks, I'm still messing around with this but would love to get some feedback on it. Does it work for a Junior B hockey team or is it a bit much? We've got a hockey playing leprechaun with a helmet strap and visor on his bowler sporting a black eye and a few banged up teeth.
  6. Concept idea for HJC of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. I took a celtic pattern and set it in the gold stripe adding the ND seal which is currently worn on their shoulders. The fonts are from the Cinci reds, I thought the style was similar to the style of the ND crest I used. I made my own version of the Under Armour template for SVG Any comments welcome.
