  1. Vintage Variants is a concept series not unlike the Adidas Reverse Retro series for the NHL, but I'm not doing just flipped colors. I wanted to take looks from the past and do all kinds of variations with them. Some will be color variations, some will pull in different design elements, some will be inspired by local themes, etc. I will update this post as I release each team, going alphabetically by city/region. These designs are done on the VaporFlex Jersey Template I created for UniMockups. Arizona Cardinals This one goes back to the jersey worn by Larry Fitzgerald early in his career and pulls in the colors of the desert cardinal, a bird more common in Arizona than the red Northern Cardinal. Atlanta Falcons This one taps on a jersey worn by Deion Sanders and is essentially a Reverse Retro with a grey/silver base. Really love that old bird logo and this would be a great opportunity to bring back the red helmet. Baltimore Ravens This one hearkens back to the Ray Lewis era in a golden color with white removed from the number trim and left only in the coat of arms (white border also removed there). This would pair well with a purple helmet. Buffalo Bills This one kicks it back to the 1964 look but in a cream color, with elements added from the Buffalo city flag. Before you get mad and say it looks like the Chargers - relax, it's just a concept. Carolina Panthers This one is a spin on what's really the only uniform they've ever had. Blue numbers are in, using the original proposed shade (thanks to trucolor.net). I gave the shoulder stripes a tweak, adding blue cuffs with a blue helmet. Chicago Bears This one is a blue version of their 1936 jersey with a modified helmet. The white version was extremely popular, so I wanted to see the blue and did more accurate shoulder striping. Cincinnati Bengals This one is an orange version of their classic from the Boomer Esiason days with white tiger markings on the shoulders. Had to move the markings up a tad to fit today's jersey cut, but I like how it flows. Cleveland Browns This one is a variant of their 1946 jersey with a darker seal brown and vintage silver (h/t TruColor.net) with less orange. The helmet is also silver, not, white.
  2. I've done many "Vintage Style College Mascots" and as the NFL season gets started I was thinking of what their logos/mascots might look like if they had been created in the style of Arthur Evans. I don't plan on directly using any mascot/logo looks (college or NFL) that are already out there (example: using Pistol Pete for the Dallas Cowboys). However, I may take inspiration from bits or pieces of them. Over the next few weeks/months I'll be adding my newest iterations, please let me know what you think with your comments and/or likes. First up: Minnesota Vikings
  3. I finally decided to post my Minnesota Vikings concept that I made in January. The concept is based on the idea that there is a home/away set, color rush, and a throwback alternate. I based the main set on the vikings current uniforms while also implementing the concept drawings by Hubenthal. I used the current Vikings font but without the serifs, added a white facemask, and tweaked the horn logo slightly. For the color rush uniform I decided to base it on the all white uniforms the vikings wore from 1969-1995 with the UCLA stripes. I based the alternate/throwback on the 1965 uniform set, where the numbers are outlined and the stocks dont have stripes.
  4. Hi! Not new here but it has been long since I finished my last concept... And now back with a NFL to NBA concept. First I want to thank @R3G for his amazing nike NBA template! Very user-friendly. The 1990s NBA jerseys seem to be controversial because of it's colors and details, and I would like to see how the NFL teams can fit into it. Since the Eagles unveiled their current set in 1990s so I decided to start with it. Inspired by the 1992-95 Hawks set and 1997-2011 Wizards set, which both have single-sided stripe and similar curved jersey logos. May back with the white/alt or I will start another new team. C&C is always appreciated!! Thanks for reading!! Edit: Lists: NFC East: #1 Eagles / #4 Giants / #21 Cowboys NFC West: #11 Seahawks / #17 Rams NFC South: #14 Falcons / #20 Panthers NFC North: #8 Vikings(v2) / #12 Lions / #19 Bears AFC East: #7 Patriots / #10 Dolphins / #13 Jets AFC West(finished): #5 Raiders / #16 Chargers / #24 Broncos / #25 Chiefs AFC South(finished): #3 Colts(v2) / #6 Jaguars / #22 Texans / #23 Titans AFC North(finished): #2 Ravens / #9 Steelers / #15 Browns #18 Bengals
  5. The Baltimore Ravens' logo has been in service since 1999. During that time they won the Super Bowl twice (2000,2012). Having that history tied to their current logo puts my concept at a disadvantage, but here it is: Undecided if I like the gold line/white beak or white line/gold beak.
  6. I've been a long time peruser, occasional poster on these forums for a while now. Over the years, I've seen many great concepts, but there has always been one poster whose concepts I really gravitate towards, Oldschoolvikings. A few weeks ago, I pulled up his NFL Fauxback Thread and saw his 1965 Baltimore Ravens concept. I really love how it captured the essence of 60's design.... One of my hobbies is building football helmets. I liked Oldschool's Ravens helmet concept so much, that I decided to make an actual helmet based on his design for my personal collection. Below is the result... Big thanks to Oldschoolvikings for the inspiration and coming up with this design. Keep up the great concepts......I love 'em!
  7. This is my first time trying my hand at a logo redesign. I had this Ravens concept sketched up awhile ago, and just now felt comfortable enough to try it out in Inkscape. I'm sure there's something that could be upgraded or changed, so get that C&C rolling! Feedback much appreciated.
  8. I never liked the Ravens' current logo. In addition to being ornithologically incorrect, it has always struck me as comically aggressive and cartoony in the way only a late 90s-early 2000s logo can, failing to capture the moroseness, gloom and majesty the raven ought to convey for this identity. And to that I say, nevermore! With this new mark, I wanted to get away from the bird side profile that gets used so much in sports. Instead, I opted for a stronger monogram of a B and an R combined in an Old English font, something that would look traditional and would fit in with an Edgar Allan Poe sort of theme, whose poem "The Raven" is the team's namesake. As a matter of fact, I believe I could easily find such a mark in many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore. I also created an alternative mockup that emphasizes red over gold, as I think that would look more menacing and build on the horror theme: Now, I hope some C&C comes a tapping, as of someone gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door.
  9. my new "Nevermore" tee just went up on the CottonBureau! https://cottonbureau.com/products/nevermore
  10. Hey Guys! Once again, this was a fun idea we thought we would share it. Hope you like this one! C&C Welcome!
  11. OK, here is another Baltimore Ravens' concept. I think this is the 3rd I've posted. To me, this team is a tough one to get myself happy with. Let me know what you think.
  12. Here are some champions banners I made for my fantasy league and also made a few extra for the Ravens and Alabama. I created these using MS Excel. The basic layout I saw (can't remember where..maybe here) and I used that idea as a template and then modified it into a more 3D type look.
  13. Sorry to start a thread on this, but I want to see what you all think: Did anyone see the two OBVIOUS holds by two Ravens while trying to protect the punter on the intentional safety play? It was pretty evident the holds were intentional. The thing is, under my understanding, a holding in the endzone ends in a safety...so if the 49ers were intentionally trying to get a safety there's no point in throwing a flag. Did the officials know that was coming and not call it? The holds allowed for the punter to putz around in the endzone for some extra seconds before running out. If all of that was planned it was genius. Discuss.
