  1. Mighty programs fall sometimes. Some of them have a hard time getting back up. Case in point, the Tennessee Volunteers. The once-mighty men in dayglo orange have struggled to return to prominence, much like Pitt, Houston and Nebraska. What the Vols had that those others mostly lacked, however, was one of the first meme coaches...a man who somehow knows how to put players through leadership reps...the man with a 5-star heart...the inimitable Butch Jones, the man who awarded his seniors a championship after losing to Vandy...and forevermore, they are...
  2. I had a thread a few years ago about if the NFL mandated that each team wear a white helmet. (the topic is now closed). I wanted to start the 2nd version with the division I never finished, the NFC West. First is the Rams, this was made before today's reveal, so sorry, no bone here...... This is the home set. I wanted to keep a balance of the three colors, but still making sure the blue/yellow were the stars. Here's the away. Finally the alternate.
  3. I've had a few recent field art ideas, and figured I should let em be seen, so here goes. Packers 1-essentially their sleeve stripe as Notre Dame-like slashes Packers 2-gold endzones with slash marks Saints 1-honestly, the Saints' real field kinda bores me whenever I see it. I thought diamonds could work here, and also figured it was high time for a NOLA endzone. The Big Chin Guy appears in the NOLA endzone, with the fleur de lis on his shield replaced by the NFC logo. The story behind that is I'd initially had the NFC logo in the last diamond there, but it made it look like it read NOLAN. Saints 2-same idea, but the endzone background is gold. Saints 3-gold diamonds Saints 4-gold diamonds on black Speak on it...I'll probably do some more, or whatever.
  4. I finally decided to post my Minnesota Vikings concept that I made in January. The concept is based on the idea that there is a home/away set, color rush, and a throwback alternate. I based the main set on the vikings current uniforms while also implementing the concept drawings by Hubenthal. I used the current Vikings font but without the serifs, added a white facemask, and tweaked the horn logo slightly. For the color rush uniform I decided to base it on the all white uniforms the vikings wore from 1969-1995 with the UCLA stripes. I based the alternate/throwback on the 1965 uniform set, where the numbers are outlined and the stocks dont have stripes.
  5. Since the Falcon thread became Saints-oriented, I made a new thread for it (I feel responsible because I brought up the Saints)
  6. Imgur Album Links: Saints Steelers Cowboys Chargers Rams Falcons Packers Jaguars Patriots Eagles With the NFL Playoffs starting today, I decided to mock up some ideas I had for a three NFL Teams: the Saints, Steelers, and Cowboys. I loved the color rush uniforms for both the Saints and Steelers; ideas from both are implemented in these concepts. For the Saints, the concept basically is their color rush; there is no reason they shouldn't adopt that look full time. I simplified their helmet logo a bit and brought back the Louisiana state outline logo as a chest patch. In addition to the white jerseys taken from the color rush set, the concept includes a black jersey with gold-white-gold-white-gold stripes as well as a gold jersey with b-w-b-w-b stripes. An alternate white helmet idea is also shown; it would only be used if the NFL were to lift the one helmet rule, obviously.
