  1. Hi again, everybody. After a summer break from sports designs, I have had an idea that I would like to develop little by little with your help, if that's okay with you. What would UEFA Champions League teams look like if their fans organized a minor league baseball? My intention is to take the twenty teams that have played in the UCL final since 1993 (first final in the Champions League format) and create a concept with each one according to the nickname of their fans. Not all teams have a nickname so I have had to invent some of them. And for others I still don't have a name. These are the teams chosen in alphabetical order and his nicknames (in parentheses the years they played final and in bold when they were champions): Ajax (1995,1996) De Godenzonen. Arsenal (2006) The Gunners. Atlético de Madrid (2014, 2016) Los Colchoneros. Barcelona (1994, 2006, 2009, 2011, 2015) Los Culés. Bayer Leverkusen (2002) ¿? Bayern München (1999, 2001, 2012, 2013, 2020) Die Roten. Borussia Dortmund (1997, 2013) Die Bienen. Chelsea (2008, 2012) The Blue Lions. Inter Milan (2010) Le Biscioni. Juventus (1996, 1997, 1998, 2003, 2015, 2017) Le Zebre. Liverpool (2005, 2007, 2018, 2019): The Livebirds. Manchester United (1999, 2008, 2009, 2011) The Red Devils. Milan (1993, 1994, 1995, 2003, 2005, 2007) ¿? Monaco (2004) ¿? Olympique Marseille (1993) ¿? Paris Saint-Germain (2020) ¿? Porto (2004) Os Dragóes. Real Madrid (1998, 2000, 2002, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018) Los Merengues. Tottenham (2019): The Spurs. Valencia (2000, 2001) Los Murciélagos. I want to make several clarifications: The nickname of Chelsea fans is The Blues and Liverpool fans are The Reds. I have modified it for this occasion because it seemed convenient to me. The Borussia Dortmund fans' nickname is Die Schwarzgelben (the black-yellows) and I thought it was also convenient to call them Die Bienen (the bees) because it made my job easier. I have only kept the nickname of the Bayern fans, Die Roten (the reds) because I had a very specific idea. I accept suggestions for the missing nicknames. Constructive comments and criticism are welcome. Thank you very much!
  2. In a reflection moment from my others ongoing projects I decided to give a try at rebranding the Finnish Veikkausliiga, the nation top soccer tier. I always like to improve my skills with little known leagues as I can go pretty wild with my ideas. The Veikkauslliga has a nice overall design and some logos are flashy too but others are really in need of a make up session and kits are just completely plain. This is the actual league logo (not my work ), LIIGA stands for league and VEIKKAUS is the name of a betting agency. The league plays in the summer season and has 12 teams. For 2017 season the teams are: Inter Turku FC - Turku Lahti FC - Lahti HIFK fotboll - Helsinki HJK - Helsinki IFK Mariehamn - Mariehamn, Aland Islands FC Ilves - Tampere JJK - Jyvaskyla KuPS - Kuopio PS Kemi Kings - Kemi RoPS - Rovaniemi SJK - Seinajoki VPS - Vaasa Here you have a map with all the teams https://drive.google.com/open?id=199mTwpDPiqZuU4YSc-3hZeEwvOE&usp=sharing In my concept the whole league will be outfitted by Nike and I'm going to use Raysox's Nike template. So, let's get started... HIFK Fotboll Full name: Idrottsföreningen Kamraterna i Helsingfors (Sporting Society Comrades of Helsinki) Stadium: Telia 5G Areena (10,770) Nickname: The Star Chested, The City Pride Founded: 1897 (1907 for soccer) Finnish titles: 7 HIFK is a sport association with many different branches including hockey, bandy and soccer. They sport a red jersey also if their crest is of complete different colors. Actual logos and kits My concept I switched colors and edited the shield to make it more fitting to the identity. I added a white sash on the home to mock the shield and a big four pointed star sublimated on the white clash kit (both on front and back). The sponsor , VR Group, is the Finnish national railway network.
  3. With the UEFA Champions League Final set to be played on Saturday June 3rd, 2017, I thought it was a good time to release my idea of how the match should look. Juventus F.C. vs Real Madrid C.F. These are both basically me taking the current kits for each side and putting them on my new template. You may ask why both are wearing predominately white shirts, but I think with the contrasting shorts and socks it created enough contrast and last year Athleti and Real did the same thing. If you think I should try other combos let me know. Juve is just a template transfer of this year's kits which I really like(Juve is my favorite club). Real is the same thing except I switched blue for the purple of their away kit. Hop you all enjoy the match! While I love @TheGiantsFan's hand drawn template, I thought to improve my own skills I should create my own. This is just part of it. The whole thing will be revealed when I start my 2017/18 USSL Season(YAY!!!). It is a huge project(you'll see why) and plan to begin it in the summer. All 20 teams are done. Please leave C&C! Thanks!
  4. Hey guys, after I just finished my Premier League Project I already mentioned that I have another one in the pipeline. It will be very similar to my former projects, but this time I'm going international. I will design 32 teams of a future UEFA Champions League competition. I will just place it in the year 2023, so it's a year before my PL was timed. And sorry, but there will only be three PL teams included, so let's just say City screwed the playoffs. The teams I chose are mainly even title contenders in their contries today, so there won't be as many surprises than in my PL. BUT I chose a tad more teams from smaller footballing countries to make the competition more colourful and interesting. I only chose around 4 clubs that most likely will not reach the CL spots in their leagues this 2016 season. Here is the number of teams I chose respectively for any country: Spain, Germany: 4 England, Italy: 3 France, Portugal, Belgium: 2 Netherlands, Russia, Ukraine, Turkey, Greece, Scotland, Switzerland, Denmark, Norway, Romania: 1 ??, ??: 1 I won't reveal the two questionmarked countries yet. So let's start filling the map. The first team from Italy will be posted tomorrow.
  5. Now that the tune-up games are underway and the tournament is only 12 days away from kick-off, and because of the enormity of the tournament, I thought it would be appropriate to start a Euro 2016 thread. Group A: France Romania Albania Switzerland Group B: England Russia Wales Slovakia Group C: Germany Ukraine Poland Northern Ireland Group D: Spain Czech Republic Turkey Croatia Group E: Belgium Italy Republic of Ireland Sweden Group F: Portugal Iceland Austria Hungary First fixture is France v Romania on June 10th at 21:00 GMT, 4:00 PM EST. Interesting developments with Bellerin called up to Spain's 23 for Carvajal, which makes me pretty happy as an Arsenal fan. I just hope the Barca boys don't get naughty thoughts into his head. Regarding Portugal, I'm pretty excited this year bar our striker situation. It's always been that way, and Eder is a football-playing meme at this point. Good to have experience with R Carvalho back in the team. Easy group, just hope there is no complacency, should be an easy path to first in the group. Group E looks like it should be pretty interesting, and Group D will have a great fight for second place I reckon. Albania-Switzerland should be a good fixture, a lot of Albanians by birth in the Swiss team and vice versa.
