  1. With Dallas and Nashville playing in the 2020 Winter Classic, I thought it was great that the NHL was allowing more "non-traditional" hockey markets Winter Classic games, so I started work on a Winter Classic logo for a game in Arizona. My 2022 Winter Classic logo is a simplified version of the National Park Service logo arrowhead which seemed appropriate considering where the game will be played. The background has been replaced with the sunbeams from the Arizona flag. The mountain has been replaced with Humphrey’s Peak, the highest point in Arizona, and the sequoia tree has been replaced with saguaro cacti in homage to the southwest. The “Winter” font is loosely based on the fonts used on National Parks signs, while the other text is based on signs found within national parks. I did a few other color combinations as well but I really think the red sky looks the best. For Arizona's jersey I decided to try something that hasn't been done before. I made a very simple crest but I moved it to the shoulder and helmet, allowing a very vintage collegiate look with the ARIZONA text on the chest with numbers. I also added the only good thing ever to come from the Buffalo "Buffaslug" days, and that is stitched numbers. For their opponent. I chose Vegas due to the developing rivalry in the desert. I had a problem with Vegas' logo though since it is so new, so I attempted a fauxback crest. I tried to make it look like their current logo could have evolved from this but if I am honest, I think it still needs some work. Do you guys think I am on the right track here? C+C are always appreciated
  2. After a bit of a creative block, I have finally created a sports team I was happy with. Here are the logos for the Vegas Gamblers: Primary: Secondaries: Uniforms to come after I get some feedback and tweak the logos to close to perfection.
  3. Mr. Foley, (the billionaire that's picking up most of the tab for the Las Vegas NHL project), has repeatedly stated that he prefers the name "Black Knights" for the Vegas hockey team. He's the man, so I've attempted a concept using Mr.Foley's choice of name and colours.
  4. Last year I did a full re-design for the NHL. At the time, the Vegas logo wasn't out yet. Now that it is and it's getting close to the jersey reveal, here's my take on the Vegas Golden Knights. I have a few different designs that I put together, however, this one was the one I liked the best. I wanted to give the feel that there are different sections to the jersey much like the armor of a knight (shoulder yoke, sleeve/waist striping). I dabbled without a yoke for a bit, but opted for it simply for that reason. The secondary mark is used as a patch on the shoulders. Striping is consistent across the waist and sleeves. If you've seen my NHL series, you'll know that I love sublimation so I had to throw my spin in on this one. I used the "Welcome to Vegas" stars across the gold striping on the waist. I didn't carry it to the sleeves because it felt too busy. There are 4 jerseys in this set. Home/away/2 alts. Alternates are a black and a red version. I opted to not make a gold because I'm not a huge fan of it as a primary (ie Jaguars color rush). Anyway, let me know what you think. I'll likely post my other versions I created as well. 5. Vegas Golden Knights Home and Road Concept The basis of this concept was inspired by the new draft hat that leaked about a week ago. It had similar striping going around the back of the hat, and I figured it may be a leak to the jersey design? Anyways, I used a very similar design to an old Vancouver Canucks concept I did awhile back. I always thought the 'V' arm and side striping would always look cool on a jersey (if done right) and I feel it's pretty successful here too. The one struggle I had with this concept (along with a problem I see with a lot of Vegas concepts) is the color scheme. It's a unique color scheme, which is great, but I thought it was very tough to get a good balance between the black and the steel gray. I also brightened up the gold from the original logo and used the brighter gold found on their ColorWerx page. I did have fun with this though, as I've wanted to complete a Vegas concept for awhile now. So, if you read this, thank you. I hope you like it!
  6. I was looking over all of the Golden Knights concepts and thinking about how far jersey's have come, so I decided to see what a potential old school early 1900's Vegas jersey could look like.
  7. I missed out when everyone else was making their uniform predictions for the Golden Knights and we're running out of time before concepts become tweaks so here's my go at it.
  8. A concept I made. The rank on the shoulder of the jersey is the US Army rank of captain and this would be the jersey the Captain of the Knights wears
  9. Figured I would take a stab at what I think Vegas will unveil as their uniforms based off of some recent Reebok/Adidas trends in hockey. One thing that I STRONGLY considered was adding a gold helmet to go with the home set...I thought that would give the team a unique identity, but eventually decided against it because black fit in better with the entire uniform. C&C always appreciated! If I get some more time, I may come up with an alternate to go along with this set.
  10. After the release of the Golden Knights' identity, I made up some jerseys for them. They're based on the style of their cross-rivals, the Arizona Coyotes', jerseys, with the shoulder striping and all. I also added in a castle pattern to add to the medieval identity, as well as a more unique alternate.
  11. Hey Guys! Since we know the Las Vegas NHL expansion team will have something to do with Knights and Sand, I've decided to make a logo/team that already exists in the league. I don't know how they would get rid of Florida in the real world, but they did in my head. SO Las Vegas took over the Florida Panthers franchise and this is what I came up with. This makes sense, trust me. Since Pittsburgh abandoned Vegas Gold, I thought that would be perfect for Vegas. Basically the Pitt color scheme from a year ago. So! I hope you like this one! C&C Welcome!
  12. Hey Guys! Since there is a big possibility that there will be a NHL team in Las Vegas, I have decided to make a concept. So lets start the logo and color scheme. The logo is a Desert Bighorn Sheep, which is the Nevada state animal (Hence the name of the team). The colors are the state flag colors. Hope you like this one! C&C Welcome!
