  1. In honor of my hometown team's 4th WNBA championship, here's my take on the Seattle Storm! http://vtg.co/sports/storm/logo_display.png The current primary logo is a bit busy, so mostly this is a cleanup. The Space Needle gets a new, less abstract silhouette, while the wordmark is flattened and simplified. The alternate logos include a version of the current secondary mark, reworked into a raincloud, as well as a Space Needle + Mt Rainier logo and a evergreen tree + lightning bolt logo. The font is Mesmerize. http://vtg.co/sports/storm/jersey_display.png I know the WNBA is currently a templated, ad-covered mess in terms of uniform design right now, but we can dream, right? The two main jerseys have a raincloud-patterned side panel, and a similar Mount Rainier design on the shorts. The wordmarks are simplified versions of the Storm's original designs. The colors are limited to the green, silver, and white for an overcast aesthetic. The alternate jersey is my attempt to adapt the 2018/2020 championship uniform into this set. Please let me know what you think! Go Storm!

  4. Hello, it's my first time in a good while doing a logo series, but I thought I had some stuff worth sharing. This little series is based on the premise of the owners of the Milwaukee Bucks deciding to expand on their sports holdings and launch expansion teams in various other leagues. I have dubbed this hypothetical enterprise the Deer Sports Empire. Currently, aside from the Bucks they own the Wisconsin Herd. I will be leaving the logos for those teams as is, partially because I really like them and partially because the idea is the owners are launching new teams with similar branding touches (colors, font, etc). I also will not be touching MLB or giving them an NFL team as there's no world where those things would happen. These are the teams and leagues I plan to do so far. A couple are already done or close to finished. As suggestions (hopefully) are made and new ideas come to me I may add to this list. If anyone has a team in a league they would like to see, feel free to make suggestions. I dont have uniform templates for all the different sports so I'm just focusing on uniforms right now. 8. Howdy folks! I started a concept art project for what future WNBA teams would look like should they ever exist. Although not all NBA teams have "sister" teams who share the same arena as their NBA counterparts, I've came up with some ideas for possible "sister" teams to their NBA brothers. The first one I will be sharing is Boston. I present to you, the Boston Charm, sister team to the Boston Celtics. And yes, I've designed the unis and the court. The Charm uses the same exact color scheme used by the Celtics: green and gold. It also uses the iconic shamrock in its logo and on its uniforms. I also added a second alternate uniform which is black and has "Bean Town" written across the front. I know the court is missing a few things, but I just wanted to give the general idea of what the court is expected to look like. The TD Garden logo's placement is different from the one on the Celtics court. More teams will be coming soon and I hope to submit my ideas to the WNBA when they're ready to expand. Also, I'll be doing new concepts for the defunct teams from the early 2000s. I would gladly appreciate any and all feedback. Ask yourself; what do you think about the team name, the court, the uniforms, the idea in general?
  9. New logo and identity for the WNBA: Full story here: http://www.wnba.com/news/espn_new_branding_032813.html Seems a good move forward, though I'm not sure it will help popularity of the league...good stuff from a design prospective nonetheless, imo.
