MLB Changes 2015

The StL on the cap is also different, and New Era FINALLY got the cap logo correct on the Cardinals throwbacks. It's subtle differences, but as a cap collector and a fan of throwback looks, it's MUCH appreciated.

I realized while watching highlights to the Phillies/Cardinals game that I actually like the Cardinals uni better without the front number. I'm not entirely sure why, as the front number isn't a bad thing at all. I just saw the look of it without it and was struck by the thought, "hey, I think that actually looks better". I dunno, less clutter I guess? A little more clean?...just one of those things you can't put a finger on as to why.

It's very obvious, the script, birds and bat are enough as is, the front number is just overkill since there's already three assets in front.

Though not quite as bad as when the Milwaukee Braves had numbers under the tomahawk.

You know, now that I think of it, is this the first time there was both a Derby and All-Star Game hat? Does this give fire to my earlier question of whether or not they delayed in revealing the hats because the leak made them reconsider their original plans? Could the red and black version be their original plan and they threw together the striped version quickly before the game?

No, they started doing it last year:

For some reason Eury Perez doesn't have a number on the front of his jersey in today's game, unlike the rest of the team.

I actually like that better than the one with front numbers. It completes the classic look.

I like seeing the Giants with the SF logo on their away greys this weekend.

While they didn't wear them yesterday, they are wearing them today. Looks better with the all black hat.

Smart is believing half of what you hear. Genius is knowing which half.

I'm digging these Brett Lawire stir-ups with the Packers pattern on them. Lol.

Bonus points for the five-stripe pattern and not the reduced three-stripes.

...and on the other side...

(The most excitement CBP has had this year)

I think the throwback cap P looks much better than the current one. On the other hand, the current one matches the P in the wordmark better.

If you make me choose . . . throwback.
