I never heard of (or don't remember) any legal issues with their newest logo.

It doesn't matter anyway, it was confirmed that Cottonmouths franchise is now Birmingham and this will be a new franchise altogether.

And it's uh ... it's a name... and that's a logo...

Does it seem to anyone else like it could be a cigarette logo? Just needs a Surgeon General's warning hem stripe.

Well, to be fair, given blue flames are actually the hottest, at least they did the research.  I'm not gonna say this is even a good logo, only that it could have been worse.  Not sure how, but it could've.  It's very clear this aint a hockey logo. :P

BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE. The owner says he's designed the logo himself. H/T to MaconHockeyFan on SPHLForums.com

Why does it look like he paid a guy $5 online to remove the watermark from a stock image?

Called it.

Neither the Dallas Burn nor the Boise Burn had good logos. I'm not even going to call Columbus's sorry excuse of a logo as such. At least Dallas and Boise we're original. This is literally stock art.

Bottom line: Don't call your team "Burn."
