New Orleans Brass SPHL Concept

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone.

Today I was bored so I decided to do something that I almost never ever do, make a concept.

Here is the New Orleans Brass, if they became an SPHL team.

I think that if the Pelicans let them in, we might see a new Brass team in the ECHL within about five years...

Agreed. They only left in the first place because the Hornets didn't want a cold court to play on.

It's definitely an interesting color palette (love the shade of purple!) but the yellow is just a bit too light to go next to white.

Those are supposed to be shadows and should be a very slight darker shade than what it's over.

There definitely needs to be a stronger effort. This is just the paint bucket tool over and over. Darken the yellow, and treat the grey splotches as darker shades of the underlying color and try a more original striping pattern.

Story:

In 2020, the New Orleans Pelicans moved to Montreal, Que. due to financial issues. Seeing a hockey market-to-be, the SHL(formerly the SPHL) decided to expand to New Orleans as the New Orleans Brass, a name previously owned by the city's ECHL team. With this team hockey in NOLA became very popular. leading to high schools and colleges getting teams.

Also for the record the stripes are supposed to be sheet music stripes.

If that's the case, then I think you need to thin the stripes a bit and use five like a music staff.

I tried that. It sounds like it would work, but it didn't.

Musical stripes on hockey jerseys...how quickly they forget...

Blues+Proposed+3rd+Jersey.jpg

OAN: I think this logo would make a better concept:

And an alternate jersey with this jester on the front would be SWEET:

The first logo you mentioned was strongly disliked in NOLA. And the Brass always used the striping like that.

The second however was awesome no matter what anyone said.

Okay and before I post this alt. THIS WAS FOR FUN AND I HAD TO DEAL WITH WHAT MS PAINT HAD TO OFFER.

Take away the eyeliner and he's not all that scary...I REALLY like how you used that jester head (I could see it on LOTS of merchandise)
