Ottawa Redblacks Alternate Uniform Concept

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone, and welcome to my first post; i've been visiting and following the site for a while, and the last couples days I decided to participate in the Logolympiad 2014 ('cause I love sports & this site) and I'm happy that my concept finished in 3rd place (I want to thanks everybody that voted for my concept).

My concept was for the alternate uniform of the Ottawa Redblacks / Rouge et Noir.
For the concept I wanted to combine the past with the present, when they were the Ottawa Rough Riders and now as the Ottawa Redblacks, and used the name of their QB Russ Jackson No. 12

I hope you like it, and I love to hear what do you think, all comments are welcome!

Sorry for my bad english

Yes. No question that's what should be out on the field right now. Classy and keeping the nice subtle hints to the plaid.

You stole the number font from Univ. of Central Florida. Also, maybe instead of the red lines, just make the patterns on the sleeves, pant sides, and helmet all plaid. I don't hate the concept though. It's well done and well thought out. It's nice to see stuff like that on here

I think that is the RedBlacks font just un-italicilized. Not sure, my knowledge of fonts isn't that well. But the jersey is really well. Love the plaid on the collar. Awesome all around.

I used the font of Michigan State.

You could make the numbers bigger, as those cut-outs on the jersey don't really restrict size.

It still looks good, but the helmet does need something. At the very least a red stripe but I did like what you had going on the first time, maybe just don't make the stripe so bold.

For consistency, you could use the same striping pattern from the pants for the the helmet stripe. I really like the rest of the concepts. Nice job.
