The NFL contract for the last several years stipulated companies could use uniformed players in ads, but they couldn't cover the manufacturer's logo. That's why Adrian Peterson would be in Nike commercials wearing a Reebok jersey. It would be exactly the same with sponsor logos.The only time I heard of a player covering a competing logo was at the medal ceremony for the 1992 Dream Team.
