what if there was a rule saying that players can't conference with other players (LeBron/Wade/Bosh)

LOL - not only is that impossible to enforce, it's probably illegal, and just silly.

Well he was drafted by the Bucks. He didn't choose to be there.

I wouldn't be surprised if when he hit free agency he goes to the Lakers or Heat or whatever.

I want to say he was quoted saying that's (Bucks) where he wanted to go, but don't quote me on that.

I heard that too, but I think that's more of a "saying the right thing" thing than any actual truth.

I don't think the league ever wants a Steve Francis-to-Vancouver moment again, and I wouldn't be surprised if they coach the draftees accordingly.

That's a fair point. I don't know what ties Parker has to that city to make him want to be a Buck, so your theory seems much more realistic.

The savvy thing to think is that the Bucks are a refreshed franchise with the new ownership, new arena coming down the road, an anticipated identity revamp...someone like Parker could be the face of a re-energized franchise so even if they were dreadful last year he's going to be on the forefront. Far easier to get a giant contract from your team when they're not a free agent draw.

He also didn't pull a Kobe and force his way to a big-market team on draft day.

Not only would such a rule be impossible to enforce, it's also not necessary, because the new CBA makes it more difficult to form a superteam via free agency with the harsh repeater tax.

He could just wait out for free agency and be mature about it.

I'm starting to think Lights Out may not be the biggest Kobe fan out there...

Well, he's a Clippers fan. So am I. It doesn't hurt he's a rapist.

Yeah I'm sure you can't imagine cheering for a team who's star player was accused of rape...

Phillies, Bears, and new NYFC fan.

A lot of athletes are horrible people. I never said Ben Roethlisberger was a good person.
