Best Baseball Cap

Watching the playoffs got me thinking, who has the greatest baseball cap of all time? There are plenty of great ones. And lets not make this a *insert your team's cap here* thing.

What makes a great cap? Great colors? Great logo? Both?

I think my favorite of all time is Baltimore's, used in past and again now in present. Great use of colors that look great together plus one of the (in my opinion) greatest logos.

I know not everyone is a fan of the white panel hats, but I really like it. It works great with the O's.

I also liked this hat, even though it was short lived.

Personally, I prefer the Mets cap. The colors are better and the "NY" is better.

I'm also partial to this one:

There's something so perfectly balanced about it. The midnight navy offset with red, so much better than the lighter navy version of the Indians. The symmetrical letter, perfect. I even like it in its original form:

Although not perfectly symmetrical, it's still rectangular. The Atlanta wavy "A" always struck me as too insubstantial to carry off this cap. It looks better on the all-navy road version.

I'm also biased towards this beauty, for all the reasons I love the Yankee cap:

Not a fan of this team but the interlocking letters fit together so perfect and the iconic blue with white... classic, can't be beat.

I'd say the white panel blue jays hat, just something about it that I love.

Also favorite alternate hat, I'd say is this (yea its a bit homerism oh well!)

To me it's this. Great colors that complemented the uniforms. I am not too huge on the white panel, but I think because they added the blue and red panels, instead of just one color along the crown gave it an aesthetic beauty I like. Plus, the logo featured all three colors, giving it, in my opinion, a perfect balance.

This discussion is billed (no pun intended) as being about the "best" baseball cap, but we just recently had this discussion about people's "favorite". I can already see this one evolving into a repeat of that one.

Can't argue with that. Was better with the "B", but the balance of this cap works almost as well.
