[WIP] CR Flamengo Basketball Rebrand

This is a project made by 3 users: OlavoP, Elece_CP and ChellMi. It just consists on rebranding the whole identity of Flamengo's Basketball team, in all possible aspects, this meaning: Logos, kits, court, branding, arena logos, t-shirts, ads, etc. Our initial idea was to do this project on behance, but we decided to post our work in progress here to get all the feedback.


Flamengo's basketball history will be added soon. Here are a quick background:
Clube de Regatas do Flamengo is a club based on Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The club is more known because of its football team, being one of Brazil's most successful clubs, with 6 national leagues, 3 cups, 1 libertadores cup (equivalent to the uefa champions league) and one club world cup. Although, basketball is still considered one of the clubs most traditional modalities. With numerous state championships, 8 brazilian leagues, 1 south american league, 1 liga das americas (latin american equivalent to the euroleague) and one intercontinental cup. The club is also the biggest champion of the new brazilian league (NBB), with 3 titles alongside Brasilia. Winning it all last season and the Intercontinental cup this year (highest honor for FIBA clubs, won against euroleague champions Maccabi Tel Aviv), Flamengo were the first latin american team ever to participate on the NBA preseason, playing 3 games against the Suns, Magic and Grizzlies.

This is what we actually have so far:

Arena Logo

The club has an actual deal with McDonald's for the construction of an arena, to be concluded at the start of the 2015/2016 season. Thus we have decided to give it a shot and create a logo for such said arena.

Court

Following NBA style of courts (NBA have purchased rights to manage NBB starting next year) and using the wordmark Flamengo uses when playing on HSBC Arena (mostly on finals), we did this court concept. The club normally uses black on the floor outside the court, but the Arena project video shows red floor, so we sticked with that.

Kits

This are the actual kits that Flamengo uses this season. We will try to apply new logos and all on those, and also create our own.
