Nyk33
Mind as well bring up this little bit of news from Real Madrid changing their logo by removing the cross on their badge (in the UAE only) to appease their sponsors. http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/worldviews/wp/2014/11/28/spains-real-madrid-drops-cross-from-logo-to-appease-gulf-sponsors/As you can imagine there are people not happy about this. PackerFan98
Everyone has to toughen up. It's just a little cross.
TorinK92
It's not even like Real Madrid is promoting anything with that cross, it's just there because it's on the real Spanish crown, and most other European crowns for that matter.
aawagner011
I'm not sure why this is just now becoming news. I remember hearing about it a long time ago. I tried to find an old article but this is the only one I could locate:http://islamstory.com/en/Real-madrid-rebrand%20Logo
Gothamite
I thought it sounded familiar. The Green Bay Packers Uniform Database! Now in a handy blog.
FlyingLamprey
So Brew City FC, the potential NASL/USL Pro team based in Milwaukee, just released a poll to let people vote for the team's crest. There are six logo options and you rank each one on a scale from one to five: https://docs.google.com/a/csumb.edu/forms/d/191zQ5ZbMK9M__daPPDyk4WqVQjT5lnL2grjgnRBAWQ8/viewformThe second logo (the gear and hops with inspiration from Pabst) is actually the work of the CCSLC's very own illwauk (you can see his concept thread here: http://boards.sportslogos.net/topic/101109-brew-city-fc-updated-1128-poll-added/ ), so it's always good to see representation there. Here's the full set of the options in one image. Drink water and try to have fun!

aawagner011
Top middle is gorgeous, though I would probably adjust the gray. It is very light and hard to see.
PackerFan98
I like the top middle and right.
Gothamite
As do I. I also like the brown version bottom left. Any of those three would be fantastic for the club. I like the Hoan Bridge on the bottom-center, but the ball and "FC" look familiar, like they were lifted from another design. And about time they had at least a USL Pro club, given the city's soccer history and youth participation. The Green Bay Packers Uniform Database! Now in a handy blog. FlyingLamprey
Seconded on darkening the grey, and I think illwauk wanted to darken the grey but didn't have the time. And I do like the top right one also. While I like the bottom left one since it reminds me of the color of beer, I feel like navy fits Milwaukee more (though I can't say for sure why). Also I'm surprised no one mentioned this, but the San Jose Earthquakes announced recently that sponsorship rights to their new stadium for next season go to Avaya, which is based in Santa Clara. The new stadium will be called Avaya Stadium and should be complete in time for the 2015 MLS season (source: http://www.sjearthquakes.com/news/2014/11/quakes-announce-avaya-new-stadium-naming-rights-partner )It doesn't exactly roll off the tongue, but it's decent enough at least. PackerFan98
It looks like a nice stadium.
Gothamite
Does indeed. To get back to Brew City for a moment, I flat-out love Illwauk's logo. Best of the bunch. Nice tip of the hat to Pabst Blue Ribbon. But I wonder if it's so direct a lift as to create IP issues. Make the diagonal line blue to match, and they could also incorporate a blue sash into their white shirts. The Green Bay Packers Uniform Database! Now in a handy blog. FlyingLamprey
Oh yeah the stadium looks great. If I have time and LA's in town, I might head up north to see a game. As for potential IP issues, I don't think it'll cause major problems. Teams have gotten in trouble for less though, so it's a possibility. Drink water and try to have fun! Gothamite
I'm going to hit four or five NYCFC road games next year; I'd love for San Jose to be one of them. That stadium does look good. UnclearInitial
http://www.footyheadlines.com/2014/12/revolutionary-fc-barcelona-15-16-kits.html?m=1Absolutely shameful from Barca to accept that, I thought that they had understood that they shouldn't be stupid after the PSG lookalike. It's better than Inter's pinstripes, because at least both colors are involved, but this spits on 115 years of history. The away kit is also awful, it's the flip side of the coin of the annoying no stripes on the back trend

PackerFan98
Why are there no stripes on the front and stripes on the back on the away kit? It looks dumb.
MJWalker45
It's gotta be a concept, unless they are supposed to be carrying the Catalan flag on the back like a cape.
