So how long will it be until Jameis Winston becomes JaMarcus Russell 2.0?

JaMarcus Russell should have never been no. 1. But just curious how you get Winston as the next great bust?

Winston continues to create off-field troubles and distracts him from the gridiron. What Bruce Arians said about character is mostly true ("Culture is greater than Talent") and I hope the Bucs pass on drafting Winston. I think they should draft Leonard Williams (Him and Gerald McCoy will be a nightmare to contain) for the 1st pick or trade it down and get additional picks to rebuild the o-line and defense (like the 2002 Bucs).

There is no way the Bucs will take any position other than a QB in the first.

To answer the OP, anyone who gets to experience the transformation of Grant Park into Draft Town presented by Oikos Triple Zero is the real #1.

Top 5 will probably be:

  1. Buccaneers- Jameis Winston
  2. Chargers (trading up to Tennessee's pick)- Marcus Mariota
  3. Jaguars- Dante Fowler
  4. Raiders- Leonard Williams
  5. Redskins- Vic Beasley

I want to talk more about how Draft Town presented by Oikos Triple Zero™ can appeal to both men and women.

Dannon is attempting to revitalize the Greek yogurt category with a new high-protein Greek yogurt sweetened with stevia “that appeals equally to both men and women.

Each 5.3oz pot of Oikos Triple Zero Greek yogurt - which boasts “zero added sugar, zero artificial sweeteners and zero fat” - contains 6g fiber, 15g protein (25% more than regular Oikos), 7g sugar (naturally occurring), 0g fat and 120 calories, said the company. “Dannon is changing the current market where yogurt is disproportionately consumed by women as compared to men… With the goal of expanding its once predominantly female consumer, the brand will be exploring integrated partnerships with television networks with a high male viewership.” Available in six flavors – Vanilla, Coconut Crème, Strawberry, Banana Crème, Mixed Berry and Peach – Triple Zero is being rolled out nationwide this month supported by an ad campaign featuring Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton.

The brand will be exploring integrated partnerships with television networks with a high male viewership. Oikos had a “great run” with Full House star John Stamos, Art D'Elia, Dannon's VP-marketing, told AdAge. But he added: We wanted a spokesperson and an advertising model that could help us appeal more to males and that's why we made the decision … to move away from John.

No, no I don't, never mind. I wish I were dead.

Browns floated their 2 firsts to Titans for the 2nd pick. Guessing no sale. Browns appear dedicated to getting Mariota no matter what the cost. Manziel is likely gonna be part of the package, but this looks like it'll be a RG3-esque haul for Tennessee.

Titans should jump on that.

Titans should jump on that.

They only will if they're desperate. They could get more. 2 mid 1sts doesn't equal a #2 quarterback pick. This is gonna need a couple additional picks. It'll be a hefty package.

Is love to see the Browns swing that deal and Mariota pull an Eli Manning.

Speaking of Eli Manning, that's who I could see Jameis Winston turning out as.

Vanilla stats, yet able to win a big game if the rest of his team is onboard (FSU fumbled its way out of the Rose Bowl). 10yrs of a guy like Eli isn't all that bad.

Yeah, but he's gonna end up on the Bucs, so that'll never happen.

Maybe it's just me but I don't like when drafted players stay in the same state as where they went to college. Especially if the player had trouble off field while at college. I just feel like the player would continue getting in more trouble.

Peter king tweeted that sources with the Browns say that they're confident that they're acquiring Sam Bradford before the draft, which (if accurate), means that... well, you know. It's been reported several times that they've offered a first round pick to the Eagles twice already.

Of course tweets aren't worth the device they're typed on unless something actually happens.

There's some smoke about the Falcons making a deal with Jacksonville (seems like they're always doing draft trades with Jacksonville) to move up to #3 and picking Fowler. Not sure the Falcons should be in the business of trading up and giving up future picks. That's partly what got them in the mess they're in now...trading up for Julio (which I have no problem with), trading up for Baker (problem), trading up for others (problem)....

Should the Falcons stay at #8, my gut feeling is that smot pokers Shane Ray and Randy Gregory will cause enough pass-rushers without red flags to go before #8 and the Falcons will get Todd Gurley. Don't think Williams or Beasley will make it to #8, and now Dupree is starting to get some love in the 6-7 range. RB is a need, and you should always go for "best athlete/player available", early on, especially in a position of need.

Rooting for Winston, Cooper, and Mariota to get picked in the top 7...QB's and WR's shorten the draft order for the Falcons.

His latest MMQB piece touches on an Eagles-Browns-Titans scenario, which I hope happens just for the fun quotient alone.

What can I say, I want to see Chip land Mariota.

God, he doesn't deserve that :censored: after the Rams.

he said he will only sign long term w Eagles and not any other team. So Eagles try to sign him long term (to make him more attractive to a trade partner) and he counters with wanting a no-trade FOR FIRST YEAR. The Eagles said sorry not happening.

Apparently the Eagles are willing to include cole hamles in any trade that helps them get Mariota.

If chip kelly doesn't get him, then he kinda blew up the team and got rid of foles for no reason. I'm not sure he'll let that happen.

The Big Lead questioned Thomas Dimitroff tenure as GM in two sentences.

701 different players started at least 8 NFL games last year. Only one of them–star wide receiver Julio Jones–was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons between the years 2009 and 2012.
