FiddySicks
That's exactly what I mean. There's all this talk about that being a "statement" game for UCLA, and that's nonsense. Thing is, ASU isn't that good. And their defense is downright ATROCIOUS. They're only hope to win big games (and it's been the same way for the last two years) is to outscore their opponent. Without Taylor Kelly, the chances of that happening are slim to none. Maybe I'll end up being wrong and UCLA is this machine that's destined to make the college football playoff. But don't be surprised when they get curb stomped by Stanford, Oregon, or USC. On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.) Rockstar Matt
ASU not having Kelly at QB is basically a death knell. So you're saying that because Kelly was hurt, that's why the Sun Devils lost? Fair enough. Thing is, ASU isn't that good. And their defense is downright ATROCIOUS.But here you're basically implying ASU had no shot even with Kelly because they aren't even that good to begin with. Then why were they ranked #15? Can't have it both ways my friend. That's exactly what I mean. There's all this talk about that being a "statement" game for UCLA, and that's nonsense. How is it not a statement game? Everyone was exclaiming how overrated UCLA was because they didn't destroy the first 3 teams they played. When they finally played a good team, who's ranked, a conference rival (and on the road no less), a team who beat UCLA last year for the South Division title and proceed to dismantle them, now you're telling me that it is not a statement? How? UCLA finally played how everyone thought they could/should.Not nearly a true representation of who UCLA is.You're right. UCLA's defense can play far better, especially against a team who "isn't that good." CS85
Oh, Brady Hoke. He's like a simple tortoise that's indifferent to the speedy world around him as he plods along watching his team routinely suck. Also Spurrier's "screw this team; I hate my own team. They're terrible, and I want them all to die" mentality is legitimately hilarious. I hope they win today. Quote "You are nothing more than a small cancer on this message board. JayMac
I can't stand Spurrier. He is so overrated. He is the sole reason I chose to root for Florida State and not Florida at an early age.

He is the sole reason I chose to root for Florida State and not Florida at an early age.I can't stand Spurrier either, but he is far from overrated. Dude can coach and scheme with the best of them still. If you can win a conference title with Duke and get South Carolina to 11 wins in a season, you're not overrated.Take the game against Georgia from a couple weeks ago. Spurrier referenced their game against Alabama from 2010 (when UGA's D-Coordinator Pruitt was with Alabama) and ran the four plays they had the most success with in that 2010 game against UGA in the first half. As we all know, South Carolina gave Georgia fits and beat them, and this was when Georgia was being touted as a legit playoff contender.
JayMac
Yeah. I guess overrated isn't the right word. He takes a struggling program and gets him to a respectable level. But he seems to have plateaued.

Lee Noire
To be fair they were getting stomped on early, but that was only the first quarter and too early to call the game over. Looks like that O-Line is finally holding up so this is far from done.
PSUcelticsWON95
I didn't see the game, but judging by the 29-6 loss to Northwestern... Y'know... I don't know what the hell happened. Did Penn State go into the game too cocky and underestimate Northwestern? Damn, I hope we can get it together. I was looking forward to a potential 10-2 regular season, but now I'm not sure if my optimism can be that high.
