Well, why can't they just play the game tomorrow and go from there?

No need to have Idaho come back when they have a common open date (October 25th) and there's really no need to scrap this game because it would force both schools to try and scramble for 12th game to replace this one (or stay at 11).

I don't know. I hope they try again tomorrow night but since it storms like that every damn night, that could end up similarly.

I've never heard them use the word "terminated" as opposed to "postponed" when referring to a game that wasn't played due to weather, but they did say tonight's game was "terminated". That could, however, be in reference to the fact that the game will be started from the top should they reschedule.

Charter flights.

Anytime that plane is not in the air is time an airline losing money.

True, but screw the Charter flights. The teams, TV crews and a lot of people are still there today. Though, considering that a quick look at the Gainesville forecast for the next week indicates Thunderstorms at some point in the next 4-5 days, they won't play this weekend.

Dear University of Florida Athletic Department,

If you don't want to have game cancelled,

One might want to look at installing a roof, or build new stadium with retractable roof.

Go Gators.

Chubb

Me and my friends chuckled at this too :D

And let's here all those SEC haters now. Sure Bama looked a bit off, but big wins for Georgia and LSU too!

How about those Gamecocks though! "Big Spurrier" (the 65-foot poster of him at the stadium) isn't happy about their piss-poor performance on Thursday.

It was against another SEC team though.

No thanks. The stadium is just fine as is. Problem is it seems to storm every night around that time (I live about five minutes from the stadium). It usually doesn't last for four or five hours, though (and the storms didn't last the wrong for anyone outside of the 10 or so mile radius of the stadium -- the system just hung out right around the stadium all night. They'd have gotten the game in if they started it in the afternoon, but it was miserably hot just walking to the stadium before the clouds came.

I think he was talking to Florida Atlantic which... yeah... that makes even MORE sense

And yep. Other than lowly Vanderbilt the only SEC teams to lose so far lost to conference teams. Looks like Tennessee should take care of USU too.

See Red, Kewp - I was really just being snarky towards the Gators for the game being cancelled, because they asked the NCAA to schedule more night games to avoid the heat and humidity, yet they get a rare long lasting Thunderstorm. Had they not asked for the night games, the Saturday game would probably would have been played.

Anyway, I'm making this into a saga, and it's not my intention.

In other College Football News: I laugh at all these predictions of who's going to make the CFB Playoff during week 1 by the "Experts". I, personally don't see a clear cut #1 team. Florida State struggled vs Oklahoma State. Georgia and Auburn didn't pull away until the second half, Alabama's defense looked mediocre, Texas A&M's looks to have no defense and Oregon blew out a FCS school.

The following will be written in all caps to express my angry assessment of this game.

PLAY CALLING: HOLY. :cesnored: ING. ISH. ARGUABLY THE WORST PLAY CALLING IN A FOOTBALL GAME I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE. JUST ABSOLUTELY :cesnored: ING PATHETIC. WHY THE :censored: DO YOU RUN THE DAMN BALL UP THE MIDDLE EVERY :censored:ING TIME? HOLY :censored:. SECOND, WE :censored:ING DID :censored:TY PASS CALLS. ABSOLUTELY NO :censored:ING PASSES TO THE MIDDLE OF THE FIELD. HERB :censored:ING WATERS WHOULD BE I NTHE GAME, BECAUSE THAT MAN SHOWS THE :censored: UP TO PLAY. HE WOULD :censored:ING RUN BADASS ROUTES UP THE MIDDLE AND TAINT THE LOUISVILLE SECONDARY'S ASS. BUT NO, YOU :censored:ING BENCH ONE OF YOUR MOST VALUABLE RECEIVERS FROM LAST YEAR. BETTER THAN PHILLIP NO :censored:ING EFFORT DORSETT. TERRIBLE PLAY CALLING THE WHOLE DAMN TIME.

OFFENSIVE LINE: GOSH DAMN, :censored: SUCKING, MOTHER :censored:ING, BITCH SLAPPING, ASS RIDING AWFUL. THEY :censored:ED UP KAAYA'S RHYTHM THE WHOLE GAME, AND GAVE HIM NO DAMN TIME TO THROW. JUST :censored:ING TERRIBLE. WORDS CANNOT EXPRESS HOW BAD IT WAS TONIGHT. I GUARANTEE YOU A PEEWEE FOOTBALL TEAM COULD'VE PROTECTED KAAYA BETTER THAN THE CANES' OLINE DID. GUARD YOUR :censored:ING QB. HOLY :censored:. I ALMOST FORGOT THAT DUKE JOHNSON HAD NO :censored:ING BLOCKS SAVE FOR TWO RUNS. IF THEY HAD ACTUALLY BEEN ABLE TO STOP LOUISVILLE'S LINE, THE SCORE WOULD BE DIFFERENT. BUT NOT, THEY JSUT HAD TO :censored:ING GET PENETRATED RIGHT UP THE MIDDLE HALF THE TIME. ABSOLUTELY :censored:ING TERRIBLE.

OVERALL: THE DEFENSE WASN'T TERRIBLE. INSUFFICIENT PLAY CALLING ON OFFENSE :censored:ED THIS WHOLE GAME OVER. FIRE JAMES :censored:ING COLEY AND THE PROBLEMS WILL BE SOLVED. KAAYA JUST NEEDS MORE TIME. HE'LL BE FINE.

Not used to people saying nice things about the Dawgs. Not really sure how I feel about it. We never play well under big expectations.

Don't worry. You'll blow it vs, like, Missouri or something.

Oh don't worry, I'm expecting it. Or even worse, Florida will be on a four game losing streak when they play us and just beat the brakes off of us.
