Next year is salvaged! Thank you Connor.

Only to be destroyed again when you guys lose to Oregon (if they get Mariota back) and Ohio State no matter who they have at QB. But you'll beat the crap out of all the other BIG TEN teams and go 10-2 and another New Year's Six Bowl.

EDIT: Post #3,000. Go me!

I'd go back to college too if it meant I could avoid having to play for the Bucs.

Or the Raiders. :censored:tier stadium, but better uniforms.

Yeah, tough choice.

Yeah, tough choice.

The LA Coliseum is :censored:tier? I think the fringe benefits would be worth it.

Never mind the fact that it looks like the Raiders actually got their QB pick right this year.

Reports are coming out that Oregon All-American CB Ifo Ekpre-Olomu may have torn his ACL in practice yesterday and is out the remainder of the season. Would really suck to see Oregon lose such an important piece of their defense so close to the Rose Bowl. Seems torn ACLs have been a problem this year with many potential starters this season (Bralon Addison, Tyler Johnstone, Pharoah Brown, and now likely Ifo.)

Definitely skeptical, but it is interesting nonetheless.

In other news, Bo will be Bo: http://nebraska.247sports.com/Bolt/Bo-Pelinis-profanity-laden-rant-The-5-best-quotes-33946598

Him getting fired and going to YSU was a great thing for him. It's a less-stressful job, the school's president will support him, he'll be around better football states, it's the toughest conference in FCS, and aside from the decent-sized earnings he'll make from YSU, he'll have the Nebraska money on top of it. But I have to say, I'm really gonna miss this guy. He made football days even more exciting, even though I'm not a Nebraska fan. Maybe Nebraska will YSU as one of their FCS games in the future so I can see him again.

The Big Ten's stopped scheduling FCS teams, so you won't see that any time soon.

Though the narrative of the Valley as "the toughest conference in FCS" is kind of funny, considering how cyclical the whole thing is. A few years ago we were talking about being afraid that the Gateway/Valley would get screwed in the selection process in favor of teams from the "stronger" Colonial and SoCon.

(Also, I doubt Bo's making more than $300k right now from YSU. Not exactly "decent-sized.")

But really, welcome home, Bo. Now win some damn November football games.

America has the mantra of "We love football, we'll watch any game". Today's slate of games (and there's 5 bowl games for you to watch) will test that.

If you're making it an appointment to watch these games, you either have money on the game or you really hate your family/friends.

I've shown my hatred for Thursday night NFL games but I also hate Saturday NFL games. I know that these are low tiered bowls being played today but let college have Saturdays to themselves.

Yeah, it's an awful slate of games for the most part, but Utah-Colorado State should actually be an entertaining contest between two top-30 teams, so if you're gonna pick one bowl game to watch today it'd have to be that one.
