South Alabama trailed the entire game. As mentioned above, the coach got unintentionally kicked in the face, resulting in him having a bloody nose for the rest of the game. Bowling Green got down inside the 2 yard line, and was stopped short 3 times. They kicked a field goal, and it was blocked. South Alabama drove down and took their first lead with 1:20 left. The next play from scrimmage? Bowling Green throws a 76 yard touchdown. Then, South Alabama got the ball back. What'd they do? They threw an interception. With about 48 seconds left, Bowling Green had the ball, but USA had 3 timeouts. South Alabama held them to a 3-and-out, and would have had about 30 seconds left after the punt. All they had to do, was not hit the punter. What'd they do? They blitzed everyone, and roughed the punter. They fought all the way back in it, only to lose because they roughed the punter... I feel bad for South Alabama though. They got robbed from going to a bowl last year, and they finally made it this year. They fought hard, but they just had too many stupid mistakes. Easily the best bowl of the day though. Maybe it'll be the best of the season.

Chad Kelly just won the JUCO national championship at East Mississippi and signed with Ole Miss. Was going to be the Rebels' starting QB next year. Instead, this idiot is spending the night in jail and probably won't set foot again in Oxford.

Some serious charges, but this is funny. Marshall Henderson 2.0. It puts Ole Miss in a tough situation now; their backups didn't look too good this year.

Wow. What an exciting Miami Beach Bowl. It was back n forth the whole game with a crazy 4th down TD with less than a minute left. It went to 2OT on a 55 yard FG, then the 6'7 Memphis QB throws a TD pass. BYU gets picked off and the game is over. Then there's a fight immediately following the interception. It was a great fight too. Bloody noses, punches thrown, kicks given. And of course it had to happen in Miami.

For the 5 people that watched, a pretty good game in the Miami Beach Bowl. Made up for Saturday's snooze-fest.

Memphis almost completely blew it, giving up 17 points off of many 4th quarter turnovers. Great finish, and I'm glad their QB got to redeem himself. He had 3 interceptions in this game, but prior to today he hadn't thrown an INT in over 2 months. Congrats to Memphis for getting their first 10-win season since 1938, and only their second 10-win season in school history. By the way, boy was that a brawl at the end. Didn't see exactly what started it, but the first thing I saw on replays was a Memphis player taking the first swing, but it's hard to believe that he would swing randomly after a win without being provoked. I guess we'll never know. But damn, that was easily one of the most brutal sporting fights I have ever seen.

Fights like in today's Miami Beach Bowl are probably the only way these 2nd and 3rd-tier bowl games can get any attention. I could've cared less for the outcome, then the fight broke out.

Am I the only one that prefers to watch the smaller teams play instead of the big teams?

Mike Bobo is Colorado State's new head coach.

Tell me, do they have the personnel to "Run the Ball, Damnit!"?

I don't know much about BYU's weird code of ethics, but I do know that they do NOT tolerate that kinda crap under any circumstances. Kai Nacua's football career is about as over as it could possibly be after that shameful show, no matter who started it. Honestly, I'd be surprised if they even bought him a bus ticket back to Provo after that one. Hope he enjoys having to try to walk on at Weber State or GCU or whatever crap D7 school next season.

I'm late to this discussion, but that last punch thrown in the Miami Beach Bowl was the best sports punch I've seen in a long time. It's awful that it came to that after such a great game, but when it fights happen I want to see them fight. Not bark at each other while pretending to be tough, or swinging a bunch and not hitting anything. They went all the way in and it was kind of awesome.
