Not really. I'm not funny, but at least I'm self-aware of it.

The point is, you're allowed to have an opinion... just quit being such a jerk about yours. The board will be a better place as a whole for everyone.

Those Vancouver pants lasted 3 seasons. The only other NHL team that does that off the top of my head, Carolina, ditched it. Basketball shorts that have horizontal stripes are usually complimented by horizontal stripes up the sides. I can't think of a single college hockey team that uses them. So it's not really an opinion, it's more of a fact of the matter. The only issue here is you tried to make a joke, I made a smart ass comment, and then you became sensitive because I'm "being such a jerk". Yet, you haven't given anything to this thread other than an attempted joke and a "I know I'm not funny, but you're a big meany! Everyone matters!" Comment.

You're such an inspiration to those without a voice and sensitivity issues.

Feel free to add some examples of horizontal stripes and a real argument. Or even your favorite NCAA hockey jersey! :-)

The Blue Jackets and Silvertips use a horizontal stripe on the pants and I think it looks pretty good.

again, why are you so combative about everything? All he said was essentially "huh, vertical stripes work on pants, but not on socks how bout that?" and you jumped all over it.

See what you did there? You added pictures and examples! Maybe lets do that instead of singling me out. I'm sorry that siding to my opinion makes discussion, I forget that this site isn't about that.

You can have discussion about sports and sports logos without being being condescending, patronizing, or antagonistic. It never works out well. Ask dennisbergen.

With their announcement of the jump to D-I does anyone think Arizona State will change the current set?

Absolutely not....with $32 million in donations I would hope they would try to look like a D1 team and not a club team anymore. Those jerseys use a lot of black and hardly any maroon and are clearly three different templates from what appears to be three different makers.

I'm sure they'll be outfitted by Nike, because I think all "Varsity" Arizona State teams have to be. The pitchfork and the black aren't going anywhere though.

Ya I could. And I could talk to dennisbergen, but I'm not gonna. Thanks for your opinion.

The pants in the picture that was presented lasted 3 seasons. Those are two different sets of pants. Thanks for the correcting a correct statement. They used the same horizontal stripe edging on the bottom of the pants for 7 seasons would be the statement to make here. Not "seven actually."

Corrected post or not, you can still get a point across without pulling an attitude. I'd suggest doing so going forward.

  • 11 months later...

I have some hella fun memories from catching some TCU hockey games while I lived out there. I remember a Frozen Skillet game against SMU where some SMU player got RIPPED to shreds by the fans after he took a check and his sister stood up and started yelling at the guy who legally checked her brother. She eventually started leaning over the glass and got kicked out.
