Chewbacca
Ever since the Stadium Series began, I have noticed that the Minnesota Wild have designed their lace-up collars the same way that the Stadium Series jerseys had them designed. Does anyone know why they have decided to start doing this? I am going to be honest, I watched the Wild/Blues game tonight and I thought that the new lace-up collar for the Wild was an absolute eyesore. I just couldn't get my eyes off them. They stick out like a sore thumb and in my opinion, that's for all the wrong reasons. I think the lace-up collars really suit the Wild's uniforms and their overall identity but now that they have them looking like the Stadium Series lace-ups, I think they either have to stop with this new look or the lace-ups just have got to go. I think the new style of lace-ups really suited the Stadium Series jerseys cause they were designed to have a futuristic look but with a look like the Wild's, yikes, I am definitely not a fan. Morgan33
So after doing everything possible to model the new Home jersey after their visually inferior black thirds, they still won't be wearing them in the playoffs... Makes sense to me.
TorinK92
At least it makes sense as much as any other part of the Sharks makes sense.
zpqmaowl
Jon Rosen @lakingsinsider 4hThe #LAKings will wear their Stadium Series jerseys for tomorrow's regular season finale. Ducks will not wear theirs. the worst helmets design to me is the Jacksonville jaguars hamlets from 1995 to 2012 because you can't see the logo vary wall
DaRadniz29
Check the masthead of the Sharks' website, or, alternatively, the Bad Thought Aggregator.I actually did see saw that, but I was looking for a source (other than the Sharks themselves) to mention it - I've yet to find that. So after doing everything possible to model the new Home jersey after their visually inferior black thirds, they still won't be wearing them in the playoffs... Makes sense to me.Yeah, while I'm a fan of the Black thirds, Team Teal should wear teal. Then again the only tradition that doesn't seem half-assed is the lowering and skating through the shark mouth. I don't know if it's because of the popularity ) of the black thirds or if the players feel they look more intimidating in them (this might be actually be the case from a pure visual standpoint). Or if the still fading orange (still on the jersey, not just logo) on the teal is the reason. I got to go with the popularity aspect as the primary reason. Don't ever think we'll get the Shark Tank to do a Teal Out The Tank, with all or majority of fans wearing the t-shirts. I'm sure I'm repeating myself, but I hate to harken back to Sharks disastrous "orange out" a few playoffs ago. I hope we can get some kind of tradition like this, but have yet to see it occur. It seems at this point like the only way the Sharks will wear their teal jerseys in the playoffs again is if they discontinue the black jerseys, which I know is not happening. Somebody should petition them to wear teal in the playoffs next year. (Shows how strongly I feel about it and I'm not a Sharks fan. Go Bruins!) Morgan33
The teal jerseys were really growing on me too. As idiotic as the front numbers are, you can't deny that dropping the black shoulder yokes and piping was a huge improvement. I'd even gotten used to the absence of hem stripes seeing their absence as a throwback to when the jerseys weren't stripe heavy. The white jerseys on the other hand really need those hem stripes to work effectively. The solid white on black looks really dull and minor league. On the bright side, going with the blacks at least makes the set consistent.
Still MIGHTY
Kings in gray vs Ducks in white looks like crap. Walter Sobchak
The Kings would look better if they went to a color scheme of just purple and silver.

The Stadium Series lace up style is slightly different. I'm sure the new lace up styles are just something Reebok came up with. https://www.behance.net/bmatukewic8043
Sodboy13
Nope. The Wild had regular laces, but when the Stadium Series jerseys were unveiled, a few players decided they liked it, and started wearing their laces that way. Gradually, the whole team adopted it, yet another sign that the Minnesota Wild is about the last place you should go for any sort of good hockey idea. BBTV
Didn't see an AHL thread, and didn't think it was worth a new thread, but here's the trash that the AHL Phantoms will be wearing next year. The white jersey is fine, but I don't understand why they would go with a totally different template and look on the black one. Horrible. It's like every bad idea that was introduced with Edge (Bettman stripes, stripes on only half the sleeve, piping to nowhere, etc.) was mixed together on one single jersey.
