New NCAA bowl game trophies

I don't like it for the reason that it looks cheap, like it's made of plastic.

Strange as this may sound, that's one of the reasons why I like it.

Bahamas Bowl

There was also a bowl game in Toronto for a few years, but what I've wondered is how do you make sure everyone has the right travel documents? It's not like the NHL or even the NFL where teams learn far in advance that they'll be playing in another country. Is there some kind of special visa that players can get on short notice?

I don't think you need a visa or a passport to go to the Bahamas. At least, you didn't when I took a cruise there years and years ago. They may have found a loophole for the players and sent them down by boat if they're super strict about air travel.

EDIT: Apparently, each conference (MAC and C USA) took care of the passport fees back during the summer for each school in their respective league. That's a pretty nice gift to give all of your schools, if you ask me (Assuming they took care of it for all schools, rather than waiting to process the information last minute for the single school that made the bowl game). Those suckers aren't cheap.

With WHTI since 9/11, you can travel by land or sea with a passport card or enhanced driver's license; you need a regular passport to travel anywhere by air. It's interesting the headaches these conferences are going through to be in this bowl. The Bahamas must be paying big money for advertising... it's only a 15,000 seat stadium. They're probably not making a ton of money off of ticket sales.

Edit: and nobody came.
