However, from a broadcaster standpoint, I totally get it. I do play-by-play for the Long Beach State hockey team. Our white home jerseys have a black Canadiens-esque stripe through the chest/arms/back and directly on top of the black stripe is a black number with a yellow outline. And when everything is moving, spinning quickly, it can be pretty hard to pick up the numbers. And I'm only 15 feet or so from the ice. And that's at center. Things go into a corner, and I have no idea who is down there.

Not to get further off topic, but that sounds like a perfect opportunity to use yellow numbers with a bold black outline. It baffles me how poor decisions like that get made.

probably but wondering how the jersey will look. Looks like it is red

The wool collar is red and jersey is white.

Most likely the blue striped jersey with a white CH logo instead of red. Their first fauxback technically.

So CTV News was on in the office and they were doing what they call "Straight Talk", which from what I can tell is their version of ESPN's Around the Horn but for news and occasional viral news, but they were talking about this concept for the Blackhawks.

I came in as it was ending and there was no sound so I don't know what the context was, but the ticker said something about a Toronto Ojibwa designer doing it, so it might be about the Blackhawks using a Native person as a logo.

I could have sworn this concept was from a couple years ago and it had been stolen by some junior team which had made news on other jersey websites.

Edit: So it came up again and they were talking about the Blackhawks and using a native logo.

I think the logic behind the simple stadium jerseys the last 2 years was to keep it simple so the design could be seen from the nose bleed sections. No complicated design, just simple, strait lines and large numbers so that the crowd can see. Compare these recent looks to the first jerseys, I think the designs were a bit more complicated and could have made them more difficult to see.

That's just a thought though... Not sure if there is any truth behind it...

So a blue stripe trimmed in red, and another blue stripe trimmed in white on red?? The unveiling is going to be interesting.

Edit: Found what I was looking for. It could be a mix of this...

And this...

The second picture seems to show the numbers. The red/white texture is different from the first picture and you can just barely make out the cross stitching like the numbers on the Bruins' jersey.

That Wild uniform is a thing of beauty. Further proof that the full bear needs to be the primary logo. Ditch the mediocre roundel and script crests for good, they look awful. While were at, that red uniform really should have been retired years ago. It was fine when it had hem stripes and no phantom yoke, but as presently constituted it's terrible.

So, if that's the across-the-board template for the Stadium Series, what the heck do the Red Wings wear?

For all the bird de lis haters I think the bird de lis isnt supposed to be a pelican and a fleur de lis I think its just a fleur de lis with a pelicans head. Thats what it looks like to me. Also the flair around the tip of the beak is just flair that fleur de lis have sometimes source I am from NOLA.
