I've also always thought the Yeti foot would make a great primary crest too, I hope it eventually makes it to the front of a jersey someday. TorinK92
Given a choice between that and the Avs current set, I'd choose that in a heartbeat. But it's still really underwhelming when you consider the brand the Avalanche once had.

If the Avs' decided to use these, these would instantly become their best look as the Avalanche. The angled sleeves bring the Mountain Stripe look back without being absolute overkill and they look great.

Its pretty frustrating that a simple concept would improve the Avs look so much yet they refuse to update.
The Giant Pacific Octopus
I always liked that yeti footprint logo. I just thought it was so cool when they unveiled thier jerseys back in 1995 and had footprints on the shoulders!!!I mean how are yeti footprints not cool? The Catch of the Day! I just thought it was so cool when they unveiled thier jerseys back in 1995 and had footprints on the shoulders!!!I mean how are yeti footprints not cool? I was always bothered by the fact that CCM used a different yeti footprint on the replica jerseys than what the team used on the authentic jerseys. The replica blue ovals weren't even close to matching, either. This happened from 1995 up until 2007.AuthenticReplica jersey: Smart is believing half of what you hear. Genius is knowing which half. CreamSoda
Ugh those were awful. Starter jerseys had the yeti right. CCM messed it up big time.

hockey week
I like those, as I said in the concepts thread, but I'll be in the minority and say I don't think those yeti-print logos should ever be front and center.Ever notice how they've always been there, but nobody ever mentions them? Did they get a note in the Edge unveiling? They're never on the alts so we don't hear about them there, either. I know I've been asked about them by non-jerseyphiles, and I have to shrug my shoulders and admit I have no idea why they're there, other than them being in the mountains and yetis allegedly live in mountains? I guess?I feel it's a holdover from the 90s, the era of the badboy animated mascot, a holdover of the Rocky Mountain Xtreme concept. I'll bet there was some unused plan to push it as a cartoon mascot, and this is just the remnant. They were too late for the 1996 third jerseys, I guess. And yet, there it is. It's just there. Nobody ever talks about it, it hides in plain sight...just like the yeti. It's a fight-club-esque "we don't talk about it" thing, but nobody ever wants to get rid of it...and that's what makes it so unique and perfect. I'll respect any opinion that you can defend. philly97flyer
I know this will be an unpopular opinion but I really prefer the original shade of burgundy the Avs used vs. what they use now. The old shade popped way more.
