I like the pitchfork on the shoulders. So many people wanted that with Nike. But damn, I always liked their Nike sets. They looked so nice and clean. These are trash. Like everything else from adidas. Way to ruin yet another team Germans.

This is the uni I had the opportunity to see the other day....fairly clean but shock web is more visible in person. Best part is removal of "ASU" from sleeves.

That.. actually looks surprisingly nice. Obviously there's still quite a bit more to see from this set, but just judging that specific jersey and helmet, it looks half way decent. They kept it fairly similar to the Nike set, which I was a fan of.

Phil Hecken of UniWatch has told me that he has seen the Arizona State uniforms, and that the pants might make me, personally, like them. So, I'm guessing there's something pretty unique on the pants.

YES. This is can live with. I'm sure there's going to be SOME element of the set when it's unveiled that will annoy everyone to no end, because that's what Adidas does, but so far these are such an absolute relief.

Keeping the pitchfork sleeve/shoulder element was something I was really hoping would stick around, but wasn't expecting it. So glad they kept it. And they got rid of the terrible ASU on the sleeves which is great.

MIGHTY is right though, if the primary helmet is maroon instead of gold, I'm going to be so pissed off.

This is what burdens me most about adidas. Even when they appear to be rolling out something decent, there's always something holding it back from what could have been a near perfect uniform. Whether it's the tire treads or the 3 stripes on everything, they never can seem to just let the idenity speak for itself.

adidas and the Pac-12 Conference ink an exclusive 3-year partnership that allows them to be the official athletic apparel and footwear provider of the conference.

Link: http://www.nicekicks.com/2015/07/29/adidas-pac-12-conference-announce-partnership/

(Odd deal, since Arizona State and UCLA are the only adidas teams in the conference.)

It's so pac 12 refs have to wear Adidas uniforms, and any other pac 12 personnel too that don't work for a particular school.

Yeah, exactly, cuz.... OREGON-NIKE.

No way the Ducks leave that money factory. This has gotta be for the Dial-A-Down guys, etc.

Sparky on the pants?

The weird thing is if the numbers and sleeves aren't slashed on this uni, that means the slashes aren't mandatory, and thus, really don't provide any kind of advantage to the player or the jersey. Therefore, all the slashes we've seen previously are just aesthetic, and really, just crap.

Smart is believing half of what you hear. Genius is knowing which half.

Thankfully, the specific tone of red NU uses seems to mask the Shock Web about as well as anything I've seen. The 3-Stripe Tire Life is much (much, much) more pronounced on colors like UCLA's blue or even the black alternates that Nebraska is wearing.

No slashes through the numbers? That has to be a win, right?

If you're an adidas school and you look bad, that's on you, not on adidas.

If you want to look traditional or traditional with modern touches, they'll do that.

When somebody wants to blame adidas for a bad design, I present you this uniform as evidence that it's on the school. They will let you say no. It's happened before.

Best part about the ASU uniforms so far?

Adidas logo on the right side, not the middle.

Which is due to the PT-42 shield on the collar. Which I'm glad is there too

A nod to history while keeping the modern theme. Glad they got rid of ASU and brought down the forks from the shoulder. Hopefully they will have a gold helmet and a gold Sparky helmet if they are going with this scheme. I can say this is one happy alumni
