I love the idea of the pitchfork on the pants, but it feels a bit copy and paste.

And boy does that gold helmet finish this design off perfectly. All in all, I'm liking it.

Don't get too excited about Adidas just yet, folks.

Even a broken clock is still right twice a day. They've screwed up so many uniforms they were bound to get one right by process of elimination.

Luckily, I kept scrolling to see that gold helmet. I was none too pleased about those initial shots.

I kinda like them? Not really sure from first views, but there sure are A LOT of pitchforks in there.

So, wait, is the pitchfork black on all of the helmets?

Mighty Ducks of Anaheim (CHL - 2018 Orr Cup Champions) Chicago Rivermen (UBA/WBL - 2014, 2015, 2017 Intercontinental Cup Champions)

King's Own Hexham FC (BIP - 2022 Saint's Cup Champions) Portland Explorers (EFL - Elite Bowl XIX Champions) Real San Diego (UPL) Red Bull Seattle (ULL - 2018, 2019, 2020 Gait Cup Champions) Vancouver Huskies (CL)

No, ASU has several different pitchforks for the non gold helmets. I'm sure they're still going to use pretty much the same helmets they did last year. Don't expect the huge fork on one side and the number on the other side helmets to go away (which I'm pretty happy about).

There are two elements from the Nike era that always bugged me that Adidas actually fixed. The ASU on the sleeve is gone now. That's a great move because that mark was redundant and not at all good. The other thing, which always bugged me, is they finally fixed the outline on the numbers on the home jersey. On the last set, the outer outline was black, and it always looked really out of place. Changing that to copper (as a nod to the state) really fixes that IMO.

Overall, I'm VERY pleased. This shows that the school must've really insisted on certain elements being kept and certain elements being unacceptable to add.

I keep hearing things like "well, the uniform being crappy isn't on Adidas, it's on the school for allowing it". This is the first time I actually buy that because these are easily the best set Adidas has put out this year.

I bet half the fans at SDS won't even notice the change, and that's a good thing IMO.

Im so happy we won't look like TOTAL clowns this season!

These are VERY good uniforms. If Adidas had left the slashes off of Miami they'd be almost as good. With the exception of the slashes and the number font on UCLA, I think Adidas has had a good showing so far.

Don't forget Adidas rolled this out too

Any chance the white/copper alternate lids return at some point? It's one of my favorite helmets.

Is this the first time that we've clearly seen there's Shockweb creeping up the legs as well? What's up with that?

The Shockweb and the cheap-looking material of the decals (primarily the numbers and the pitchforks on the legs) bring down an otherwise fine set (of course I'd rather there not be a mix&match full uniform for each of the 4 colors, but those are the times we live in--still could have gone without BFBS though). Fine design, lackluster execution.

"The pictures looked good on the computer," Will Brown explained
